Yes! I recommend! Ambiance: No frills, casual restaurant. Open space, bright, clean, high chairs available. Former Dunkin' Donuts, can still see DD logo in odd places. Arrived 6ish Friday evening, about 3 out of 12 tables filled but by 7pm, about 8-9 tables filled. Plenty of parking for the size of restaurant. Service: Servers are young, friendly and attentive, family owned restaurant. Don't be surprised if your entrees don't come out at the same time, and your empty appetizer plate to be cleared til the end of the meal. As I said, no frills. Food: Delish! I judge any restaurant offering Vietnamese entrees by their cha gio and pho dac biet. Both did not disappoint. Broth was flavorful, noodles on point, meat I would've preferred more of the thin medium rare slices vs the thicker chewier slices, not a deal breaker. The sandwich was also yum! Overall, I'd say very good bang for the buck! Misc notes: They stop seating at 7:30pm, will do take out orders til 8pm. No delivery at this time, not on Ubereats or Grubhub yet. Would up the rating if service was a notch more professional (may take time & experience) and if I get to try more items on the menu that end up as good as the 3 items tried today. After having their pho a few times I can say with certainty that they do, in fact, love pho. And Jesus. We had difficulty getting pho here one Sunday morning because everyone was at church. The beef pho tasted ok. Was a bit disapponted with there being a lack of tendon and having only half a meatball in the special combo pho. My husband got the shrimp pho which is chicken broth based and it was not good. The rice noodles were overdone- also was disappointed that they did not offer yellow egg noodles as well. I also was super excited to get vietnamese coffee but was immediately disappointed when they didnt come out in a french drip like they are supposed to. The coffee was super strong and sour so when mixed with the condense milk it was dark brown and not the usual caramel color. The eggrolls and the summer rolls are good though. Their customer service is good- you can tell theyre trying so i give them points for that and tipped them well. But as of right now I'd make the trip to bridgeport for good Vietnamese pho and coffee. read more

I'm visiting from the Bay Area (my gf lives in Bethel) and we were craving pho. We were in the area, so we dined here and I was a little skeptical at first but this place was really good! Pretty pricey (yes, even for someone living in the Bay Area/SF) but I'd say it was worth it. We had the P1 pho, spring rolls, and the fried rice. All were pretty tasty. We'd definitely come back the next time we visit. It's a bit of a far drive from Bethel but we were visiting Silver Sands Park so we had another reason to eat here. Definitely recommend. read more

Went in around noon on a Sunday. Only three tables were occupied in a very clean spacious room. My server was very attentive & had to have her come back while I looked over the menu. During that period of time, the joint just about filled up with an assorted mix of people - Asian predominating - a good sign. Since I was alone, I only ordered the brisket/rib-eye/tripe pho rightly figuring that it would make a filling lunch. The broth was light and tasty and there was plenty of noodles. Unfortunately the tripe was not present, probably a mix-up in the order, but it didn't really matter. The amount of meat could have been increased a bit to accommodate Western tastes, but it was adequate as a flavouring. The fresh bean sprouts and green Asian basil in a seperate dish added the crunch and aromatics needed to round out the dish. There were slices of Jalapeno peppers too which I added to the soup. They peppers should have steeped a little longer since I bit into one and the hotness didn't diffuse out but hit me right then & there. There was Sriracha and Hoisin sauce for dipping the meat - a nice touch. Probably the biggest nit to pick was that the soup wasn't hot enough, temperature wise. I would've preferred to cool the soup using the soup spoons for that purpose, but the broth was cool enough to drink immediately - no steaming bowl coming to your table. I hope that this is an oversight. If it is a cultural thing for Pho, I do apologise for my ignorance. Anyway, I'll definitely be back with others & do a more thorough investigation of the menu - Banh Mi and rolls are next. read more

Food: I ordered a large pho dac biet. The bowl that arrived seemed more like a regular-sized bowl to me. The broth was flavorful but there was not enough meat, tendon, or meatballs. The beef eye round also came fully cooked (it's usually still rare when they first serve it). The herbs and other garnishes were all fresh though! Price: $11.99 for a "large" bowl?! Kind of steep if you ask me... Environment: New place. You can tell it used to be a Dunkin' Donuts. It's very clean though, even the bathrooms. Also, I wasn't really a fan of the single-use items they served the food and water in (water in a disposable plastic cup, disposable wooden chopsticks, and garnishes on a paper serving dishes). I feel like this is not only wasteful but also adds to the commercial feel that another Yelper mentioned. Service: I had no issues with the service on a Wednesday evening (not busy). The servers do seem young and inexperienced but I was promptly seated and served. Verdict: The price I paid for the value of the food I got was so-so and the use of disposable items was a turn off for me. I would actually come back tho and maybe try something else. I had the pho special there. The broth was really watered down. And the rare beef was completely cooked inside my bowl. It makes me think that it "could have" been inside someone else's bowl. And they didn't eat it, or they didn't want it, and so it was salvaged, and put in my bowl. I highly doubt it was completely cooked for food safety reasons because I ordered additional slices of rare steak on the side, and it was served 100% raw. The place wasn't cheap either. $36 dollars for 2 people (no drinks). So I don't think it was worth it. read more

Well we finally made the trip to I Luv PHO and I have to say we were not disappointed! First off this place is in the old Dunkin' Donuts building and across the street from the newly built Dunkin' Donuts in Milford. It's is very nicely decorated and super clean. The staff is extremely friendly and when we went of Sunday at about 5pm there were a few people in there already which filled up rather quickly in a few minutes. The thing to get here of course is Pho! It is flavorful broth served in a large bowl with your choices of meat, rice noodles, and an array of goodies they bring you separately to add in if you choose such as Thai basil, mung bean sprouts, jalapeño slices, and more. There is fish sauce sriracha and other condiments on the tables if you like to spice it up! This was great! We loved it! We also split a bahn mi sandwich with chicken liver pate, Chinese ham, and roast pork. Topped with pickled veggies and cilantro and jalapeño amazing! The star of this sandwich was the French roll they used WOW! It was fantastic. Crunchy outside soft pillowy middle. I loved it! We also had the Vietnamese spring rolls, filled with pork and served with a sweet chili sauce, very nicely done as well! Get to this place soon and I promise you, you will be back. I was visiting from San Jose / San Francisco California dropping off a student for his Freshman year @ Yale and I researched everything because I was staying 8 days and the First Restaurant I went to was I Love Pho, I read the reviews from Yelp and let me say this I thought I was back in San Jose's Vietnamese Community on Story and King (area) the Pho Broth was absolutely Excellent with the use of the Right spices cooked the right amount of hours. I had Tia Pho beef only and IPho put more beef then I usually get back home. My group of 2 Vietnamese friends and I were amazed at the quality of the Broth. Excellent!!! We came back again on Friday and had another excellent experience and took two orders to go for friends we were picking up at the airport. When we buy to go we ALWAYS ask any Vietnamese restaurant NOT to cook the Rice Noodles because we can do that at home Very Quickly (this way the rice noodles don't stick together). Once everyone was with us we all went back on Sunday to show the young man staying at Yale were to go once he gets home sick for his Moms Pho. Justin is in GREAT HANDS because I pho staff gave Justin one of the staffs phone # ( his age ) and offered him help with a ride and other help until he Settles into his new home for the next 4 years. The lady that cooks the Pho had conversation with us on all three visits, the staff is a very friendly family. I know Justin Mom knew her son was in great hands because of the Family and food at IPho is THE BEST IN CONNECTICUT. (if not the best I'll fly there and pay for your Pho) Oh P.S. Editorial: I don't believe in the star system. I've seen one star ratings for no free bred, when the rest of the experience was great. The star rating is the first thing that effects a diners decision. Who reads all the reviews? So I refuse to hurt a restaurant because of my subjective dalliances. I had lunch at I Love Pho . The staff was friendly expressed a true effort to give you a good experience. I ordered the standard pho appetizer Vietnamese egg roll. They were larger then standard, stuffed with more noodles the veg. The skin was tough ( maybe pre-fried not sure). Classically they are served with cilantro, pickled carrot and radish and lettuce to wrap the roll in before dunking in fish sauce. What was served was a little lettuce leaf not big enough to wrap one roll and a small amount of plain shredded carrot. It had a side of sweet chili sauce more attuned to a Thai restaurant then a Vietnamese restaurant. A personal peeve of mine is the Anglicizing of international food. It's 2018 get with it. I ordered the beef pho with brisket, tendon and tripe. The essence of pho is the broth. This one had good flavor but lacked the unctuous silkiness of collagen from a well made bone broth. Brisket 3 little pieces, tendon 2 pieces tripe 2 little pieces. The noodles were clumped together in the middle of the dish and had to be jostled with a spoon and chop sticks in order to loosen them up. Because my order came out within two minutes of my ordering it and five minutes before my appetizer, indicates the noodles were pre cooked and added to the bowl just before service. I ordered Vietnamese ice coffee and instead of getting the ubiquitous colonial French drip coffee set up I was served a Poor version of Thai iced coffee. All beverages are served in plastic cups which takes way from the in-house dining experience. Pricing is good. 13$ for lunch. My suggestion: charge more and bring everything up to standard and reflect your heritage. We have enough American Chinese, McDonald's and On the Borders in this town. Milford is ready for authenticity. read more
