Robin is such a delight to have in coordinating all our needs for the big day! We got married this past October 4th. She was very welcoming and accommodating to our needs. Robin was able to get us a violinist, and met all of our requests and questions. She is very friendly and super professional. Robin was a breath of fresh air and so glad we were under her care. The venue was great even when the wedding got bigger then I expected, all guests were still able to have a seat and enjoy the ceremony. Our only bump was our wedding start time running late, but Robin and our priest worked it out and made the ceremony beautiful and memorable. Robin is awesome! She's so sweet & helpful. She accommodated our wedding 1 day before! Then on the day of I was stuck in LA Friday traffic! She was very nice about the whole thing. She talked with the guest while I arrived. Upon my arrival my mom wasn't there so she helped with my dress, bow & even took pictures (there's a cute little dressing room). Not only is she DELIGHTFUL to work with, but she also was able to refer my new husband and I to a host of reasonable quality vendors that aided in making our special day a reality. We didn't have our ceremony at Robins chapel due to our guest count and size.. But she was more then happy to refer us to a vendor that she partnerships with that was awesome and reasonable. My wife and I got married back in October of 2015. Keep in mind this was the PREVIOUS owner. The e-mail that we sent to Robin is below. A response from her was never received and nothing was done to rectify the situation. Hello Robin, I am sending this e-mail to express my extreme disappointment in how our wedding ceremony was conducted and handled by I Thee Wed Chapel. We were excited to find such a hidden gem, and even more excited when we read the amazing reviews on yelp. After we met you in person and signed the contract, we got an even more overwhelming sense that we were in good hands. During our initial meeting you explained that we could customize our ceremony to fit our personalities, even offering to play a song of our choice while walking down the aisle. This was exciting to us, as we imagined picking the perfect song to fit our relationship and signify our special day. My now husband, Jonathan and I spent much time over the next couple of days figuring out what song would fit best for my walk down the aisle. As the day quickly approached, and we had not yet been contacted by you to go over any of the final details, we decided to give you a call. On October 20th, at 1:16pm, I (Angie) called and spoke to you in regards to the big day. I explained what song we were thinking about, and you offered some great advice to actually stand and face each other to see what timing would be best to start the walk down the aisle and the fade out of the song. I also questioned what would be said during the ceremony and asked if you would be able to provide an overview of such. You explained that you were in the process of moving but that you would be able to provide what was being asked the next afternoon (October 21st) by e-mail. You asked that I send you a text when we figured out what song was to be played and how we preferred it to be played during the ceremony. I anxiously awaited the e-mail that was to be sent and took your advice about the ceremony song. On October 21st at 4:56pm, I sent you a text as instructed. This text message contained the name of the song, and those who the song was sung by. I also had not received the e-mail containing the what was to be said during the ceremony as promised, so I again asked for this in this text message. You did not respond. Thinking that something must have been wrong with my phone, since you did not respond for almost 3 hours, I again sent the same text message at 7:48pm. You responded, but not until the next day at 12:47pm (October 22nd). Your only response was. "sounds good!" You completely ignored my question about the ceremony structure. I responded to this text message at 1:15pm asking again if you had gotten the opportunity to send me a note about what would be said during the ceremony. You again ignored me. I forgot to mention I also sent you an e-mail at 11:59 (October 22nd) also asking for what was promised. You handled this completely unprofessionally, and we never received the information that was requested or promised. On the day of the ceremony (October 23rd), you had not yet found the song we were asked to be played, and not until about 15 minutes before the ceremony did you find it on your iPhone. You called me by another persons name (Melissa?), my mother had to correct you. My now husband and I felt that you seemed irritated at the fact that we were nervous and had trouble figuring out what you meant by pivot at the end of the aisle. The worst thing of all of this was that the song that meant so much to us, and that we had requested to play when I walked down the aisle, skipped an incomprehensible amount of times throughout the walk down the aisle and when we were standing together at the front. I assume this happened because instead of paying to download the song, you chose to try and stream it at the last minute. This was beyond unprofessional and overwhelmingly embarrassing. In addition the aisle was too narrow for both of us to walk together after the ceremony. After introducing us you asked us to walk back in, but gave no direction as to what was supposed to happen after. Oh and I forgot to mention, that the parking, if you can call it that was not as promised, the bride and groom spot was taken by another car, and you explained that you would work to have at least a couple of spaces available for those who were handicapped which you did not. My mother had to walk almost a block to get the ceremony and this is unacceptable. And finally as we were preparing to leave, we had to wait for you to get off the phone to give us our marriage license. It seems we were not given an accurate account of what we could expect. You promised us so many things but failed to deliver. I understand you had personal things going on in your life such as your move, but as this is a business, you must be 100% present and you were not. You never once apologized for the unprofessional manner in which you handled our wedding. read more

Robin is a very nice lady but she is terribly unorganized and hard to get a hold of. My husband and I got married at her chapel more than 3 years ago and our marriage certificate has still not been issued because she made several mistakes with our paperwork. The court house says they try to reach her but she never answers her phone. Then when I call her it takes weeks sometimes to hear back. I am so disappointed to have paid her money to officiate our wedding only to be stuck going around in circles to get our certificate. Isn't this supposed to be the most basic part of her job?? I would highly recommend that you read and re-read your paperwork before it gets mailed. It's a very nice chapel and she was very pleasant, but my experience with her was ruined because she doesn't know how to fill out paperwork. read more

I didn't received my marriage license waiting for it to arrived through mail because we paid Robin as she said she would do that for us not to worry we both called the Norwalk City Hall gave our marriage licence number the clerk said that number didn't exist they didnt have our ml# number in file which mean they never received anything from I Thee Wed so the only thing was to get married again at the hall and pay again or bring witnesses, photos info to confirm the wedding as where it took place just for us to keep our wedding date this shady ass lady Robin was payed $2,000 just to rip us off w no marriage certificate and a shoved push out wedding ,she never pick up our calls or emails. If I could I wouldn't give any stars to this stinky place should be close down and Robin should be in jail with all of her crew members. read more

Getting married can be the craziest and most thrilling time in a girl's life. I Thee Wed Chapel made it so fun and easy on both of us! My fiancé and I had been looking at places to get married in the Los Angeles area. We were on a budget and didn't want to spend thousands of dollars on a wedding. We are also very choosy and wanted a unique and attractive place to say our vows. We were looking for a place that wasn't religious, that was upscale and elegant, and with easy parking. We needed some help with planning our wedding too. We didn't want to be responsible for flowers and music and finding a professional photographer. Oh, and we also needed wheelchair access for my Uncle, and it had to be a place without stairs. Not too much to ask..... To the rescue, I Thee Wed Chapel in Hawthorne, CA. I'd never been to the area and was delighted to learn it was just an easy drive from Hollywood. I found the web site online and called the number. "Robin" was very friendly on the phone and invited us down to see the Chapel that Sunday between weddings. (Some places do not allow you to even see the place and that to me is an immediate NO Thank you) I want to choose ahead of time where my Wedding day is going to be and set the scene for photos and friends etc. We were absolutely delighted with ITheeWed Chapel. It was everything we had imagined in our heads! I The Wed is pretty, immaculate and charming! It was elegant and traditional all at the same time. We booked our wedding 2 weeks from that Sunday, though I was so excited about the place, I would have married my fiancé right then and there. Robin took care of everything for us. Our experience with Robin was awful. We signed the contract to have our wedding there on Feb 06, 2016 but I never heard from her again until the DAY of the wedding even after numerous attempts to get a hold of her. We had given a deposit which took us months to get refunded even after Robin promised to do it asap. We had to place a dispute with the credit card for our deposit to be credited back. Very dissatisfied with the way this business was handled. Will not recommend it to anyone. read more

I don't understand why this place has so few reviews! Robin is awesome and the chapel is beautiful. I had my wedding here last Saturday and everything was wonderful. Robin is very nice and thoughtful, takes care of all the little details for you and even calms the nervous bride down. She coordinates the wedding on the day and does a wonderful job. The photographer Robin works with (you can get a photography package with the wedding) and the florist are both great too. This chapel is far more beautiful than any of the other wedding chapels we've visited around LA. I'm so glad we found this place. Don't get put off by the few reviews. Not the best location, but inside the chapel was a bit of a surprise in a good way. It was very clean and intimate for smaller weddings. My sister got married here and it was very romantic. They have a dressing room for the Bride and a clean and well kept bathroom as well. You can tell that they really take care of this place. Only downer is the parking, the lot is small and it is shared with the other businesses, so you may have to park on the street or across the street. They use an iphone to play the music for the bride while walking down the aisle, I just wish that they had better sound quality and speakers. read more

I had no idea there are wedding chapels in Los Angeles. Thought that was only in Las Vegas. But when my girlfriend and I started planning our wedding and the price kept going higher and higher, someone mentioned that we consider having our wedding in a local Los Angeles chapel. That would mean we could save money for our honeymoon and some other things we wanted to began our married life. I thought this was a great idea but I didn't want to get married in some cheesy Vegas style wedding chapel with Elvis singing "Here Come The Bride". My girlfriend likes everything very upscale and was really nervous about the whole thing. I went online and then we spent a weekend visiting chapels all over Los Angeles. I was very disappointed with what I saw and began to think this wasn't going to work, when we stopped to see the last one on our list. It's called I Thee Wed Chapel and it's on Hawthorne Blvd, close to LAX. We walked in, met Robin and made our decision in about 90 seconds this was where we would have our wedding. I can't tell you how nice it was and how Robin was so helpful, cheerful and eager to do everything possible to make my wedding as beautiful as possible for me, my girlfriend and our 30 guests. There was a private bridal salon and the chapel itself is very sophisticated and tasteful. On our Wedding day a few weeks later, Robin left nothing to chance. I forgot to bring the music we selected and was very mad at myself but Robin and her brother immediately starting downloading the music we wanted from iTunes which was ready to play when our ceremony started. Their wedding officiant set the perfect tone and made us feel at ease with his calm reading and sense of humor. My girl thinks I'm a Hero and was thrilled with just how romantic the setting is. I really couldn't believe how little our wedding cost and yet how much we had for our buck. Our package included the flowers, photographer, a cake and champagne toast. Everyone loved the wedding ceremony and Chapel itself, even my Mother-in-law! We were then off to our celebratory dinner in Beverly Hills. I said Robin was helpful, but it went far beyond that. She relieved me and my girlfriend of so many things in connection with planning the wedding. She took my girlfriend's nervous phone calls and questions. When I forgot the music, my girlfriend burst into tears and Robin calmly took care of it and settled her down. I am so happy to recommend ITheeWed Chapel to any couple looking to have a romantic, classy ceremony on a budget. Save yourself a whole lot of money and aggravation without sacrificing a thing! It's a family business, and Robin mentioned they just opened this past December. My husband and I had started planning our wedding in November of last year and we knew we wanted something small and intimate, yet elegant and beautiful. When we first came to see I Thee Wed chapel that November, I knew in my heart this was where I wanted to get married because it had every essence we were looking for. From the tall windows to the soft lighting, everything about this venue is absolutely beautiful. Robin is the sweetest, most helpful coordinator I could ever have imagined working with. She listened to everything we wanted and was happy to arrange even the tiniest of details. Everything was perfect on our wedding day; the gorgeous flowers, the decorations, the music, the amazing food, the beautiful cake, and our lovely ceremony. We got married September 27th and chose the catering package to feed our 30 guests dinner. After the ceremony, everyone was invited outside where hor d'ouvres are served while the chapel is rearranged into tables and then everyone is invited back inside for dinner. The food was delicious (thanks to Carlos at Elegant Events Catering!) and everyone loved it. We were even allowed a small area so that we could have our first dance as a married couple and so we could dance with our parents. Everything was exactly how we wanted. Looking back, I had the most heartfelt, most amazing wedding I could have ever asked for and it's all thanks to Robin and her beautiful wedding chapel. If you're looking to have a smaller, more intimate wedding, I would highly recommend I Thee Wed Chapel. It's because of Robin that everything turned out perfectly. Truly terrible experience. Just as the other reviewers have said before me, nobody answers the phone or shows up to the office. Ridiculous. My fiancé and I were planning to get married next year, but certain sad circumstances would have prevented some of our family to be there so we decided to get married now. I went to the chapel about a week before our proposed date (considering this place offers same day services, I figured that was enough time) and nobody was there. I called - no answer. I left a voice mail for Robin, who I assumed was the head coordinator. I did not receive a call back until several hours later and SHE HUNG UP ON ME. I called right back. The phone rang, and I was sent to voice-mail mid-ring. I kept calling and calling and no answer. She never once called me back after that. It wouldn't be as bad if it were just a restaurant reservation or a booked hotel room. But these are peoples' lives you're interrupting. The moment people dream of, spend their life savings on, and remember until the day they pass. It's delicate and clearly, Robin doesn't get it. Needless to say, I did not find another place in time, and I was not able to get married. I had regretfully put all my eggs in this basket, which is my fault. But silly me, I was judging this place based on all their 5 star reviews, which I assumed to be true. Maybe this place WAS great. But it is absolutely atrocious now. Terrible Service!!!!!!! I even had my License Returned because they did not fill it out properly!!!! What kind of service is this!!!!! On the day I was told No Rush, I was not given any late fee let alone them knowing I was on my way. They closed the Chapel and said, I cant Marry you today. You will need to come back another day. The kind Notary was the only person who saved the day and was understanding and married us. But still yet this was December 12, 2016 and now I find out even after I pay the extra money they cannot do the paperwork correctly!!!! I really did not expect this, the lady still had the nerve to yell at me. She is very unprofessional! And did not offer anything else, did not offer any information and made it seem as if I could go in anytime on the date I asked. We missed out boat trip we planned after our ceremony. As everyone here I see are very upset and should be up to this day. My friend was looking forward to her wedding day which came and went with out a call or anything from robin or anyone from the chapel. She was very stress and upset invitations were made and sent to her family and friends just for her to cancel them bc she kept trying none stop to confirm her day and went religiously to see if she can talk to anyone about what was going on. It is very upsetting to me that she had to go through this, as the bride she shouldnt be stress about her location especially when she paid for it and was promised that her day was going to be unforgettable which they made sure of that .bc When no one called her to confirm or anything after endless calls to ROBIN !! and made reservations for her guest just to have to cancel! Money spent and time .. And all the stress that came from robins irresponsibility at least a call but nothing..
