When booking, I asked for a 90 min massage. When I went to pay, I was "overcharged" by $30. When I…read moreasked why, they said it was because I added in a 20 min foot massage. When he asked about my feet during the massage, I understood it to mean "is it ok to include your feet"? The massage was fantastic and I just paid the additional $30 and left, as it was late in the evening. A day or two later, I received a text asking how things went. I explained what happened and we were able to come to an agreement about the situation. The massage was FANTASTIC. I ended up in positions I didn't know I could be in, with muscles that I didn't know existed, getting worked on. I would 100% go back but next time I would make sure I understood that additional fees could be added during the massage.

It's inside of Pioneer Place Mall. It is advertised as a "spa". It is not a spa. It's a place to…read moreget chair massages and foot massages that happens to have a curtained off area to get a full body massage. They leave the door open to the hallway so you hear the sounds of the echoey mall. It's as if you're getting a massage in the hallway. It's loud. Teens laughing, toddlers running. Parents yelling after their toddlers. Since the massage beds are just curtained-off and not in a quiet room, you hear everything in the next massage tent (including oohs and ahhs), every person walking in to ask for a chair massage, every person checking out, even the massage therapists speaking to each other between the tents. If you're looking for a relaxing spa experience, this is not it. But if you don't mind the noise, it's a good place to get a full body massage for a good price.

I don't get massages often - maybe once every couple of years? But I've come to Olivia twice now in…read morethe past year and is literally the only person I've been a repeat visitor to for a massage. She's great at listening to your needs, but I think what's more important is that she listens to her own instincts as well. The first time I came in, I came for a full body massage and told her to spend a bit more time on my neck/shoulders... well she ended up spending nearly the entire time on my neck and didn't get to much of the rest of my body, but I'm not mad in the least! My neck was totally effed and she felt the need to work it out and so she did - and I totally appreciate it! I needed that badly. Eager to get back to her again - each time I leave actually feeling a noticeable difference in my body and feeling blissfully massage-drunk.

I figured I would try out ashiatsu because I just started regular exercise again. (I really don't…read morelike feet, so you kind of have to play mind games a bit with yourself to get used to it, but trust me, the pressure is worth it!) I asked Olivia to focus on my hamstrings and glutes because those have been the most sore, but she ended up spending a lot of time on my left shoulder blade and neck. These were both old pains that I had tried to deal with -- bought one of those massage rods, to no avail. She focused on those areas without my telling her about them, since I'd kind of forgotten and just learned to live with them, and I was so impressed and felt so much better at the end. I will be coming back when I have the money!
