This place is one good reasons I am enjoying my new workplace. Anything short on my pantry for a week food plan needs, I could get it here quickly. A block away from my new office, a very convenient store. As all knows, this chain is popular for Italian groceries . Plenty of choices. It also has meat section , vegetables section , and its popular bakery. Pricing is predominantly on a bit higher in comparison to American grocery store. Service is quick . Ambiance is happy. Place is an absolute joke. First off got pre made chicken francese for 20.00 and know why it was pre made. Was awful. Literally rubber. Attempted to feed it to my dog and he pushed it away. Spoke to the manager got a story come back blah blah. Now gave it another try how is this possible pizza sitting around all day. Each tiny stale slice is 7.00! Yes 7.00. Course I'm the idiot and paid for it cause I didn't expect 7.00 a slice. So 14.00 for pepperoni pizza that's been sitting around and heated up. Got it. Do they realize you can get a full pizza pie across the street for 2.00 more. Place is a ripoff and awful quality. 2/28/26 I love the vast selection of prepared foods. While I do not love their high prices, they do have quality items. My sandwich on semolina bread was delicious but could have been packed a bit more for the price. The almond cake was surprisingly good. I def enjoyed the baby stuffed artichoke and the pasta salad with mushroom/broccoli. I'd go back for sure, and bring my 401k! read more

A century plus of love, great good and Italian hospitality has now expanded to Garden City, New York. I was at Panera Bread on Franklin Ave in Garden City and remembered my friend Augie mentioning the new store recently opening in the area. So a half mile and 3 minutes later I was on 7th Street and passed the Starbucks and Bagel place locating the newest Iavarone Bros store, then parked in the back. This store is more compact but better organized than the Lake Success store. The bakery section is bigger. It has more cakes, pastries and bread and it looks beautiful. I was dying for a NY egg sandwich ( 3 eggs scrambled, cheese, spk on a roll) but sadly they don't do hot breakfast here. The two gents at the deli however were awesome and helpful. I asked for egg salad; one walked me to the fridge but they were out. I got the tuna salad which was fresh and just right. The spinach feta pasta salad also was delicious. The seafood section carries great quality items. I picked up 2 lbs of scallops and 3 lbs of Atlantic swordfish. The gentleman at the counter was outstanding. Every employee who walked by said GM and offered to help, which was a nice touch. I love that they have a Japanese sushi chef preparing boxes of sushi and sashimi. The cheese section was appetizing as always. The Italian soda selection is awesome. Loved walking by the fruits. Bright, colorful and gorgeous displays. The hours here are slightly different from the other locations. M- F 8-8, Sat 9-6 and Sun 10-4. Please park in the back. It's free. Wow! Very classy looking marketplace! Love how easy it was to walk around and see what they carried. Great sandwiches, pizza, bread, produce, seafood, pasta and pastries. The prepared foods lack consistency, are either very good, or mediocre. I had a flyer for $2 off IB Store Salads and the cashier refused to honor the promotion. Certain things like this just gives me a headache! Improvements are desperately needed in the parking lot. Parking spaces are too tight between cars and lots of bumps/potholes. There's no way you can use a shopping cart to get around. Better off just carrying your groceries to your car! read more

We used to come here every 2 weeks to buy our favorites, especially the grazing board and the charcuterie. We like buying prepared foods for my elderly mom and for easy dinners during the week. They have grocery items too, but the selection isn't as vast as other Iavarone locations. Same quality as you'd expect at the other locations. read more

Stopped in Ivarone today because I wanted fresh stuffed shell for dinner. While we were there my husband picked up a lobster tail pastry. We were so disappointed. The stuffed shells didn't taste fresh. The stuffing was not creamy at all. It was thick and pasty. The pastry was soggy. So disappointed after spending the money. the consistency of their quality of food is not good. You cannot depend on an item being good all the time. The lentil soup is loaded with lentils at first then you order it again and its watered down. The shrimp salad is also changing. Also some good items just disappear. When the Garden City store opened up last year, everything was delicious, but my last two visits got a thumbs down from the family critics. Biggest disappointment was the Chicken Iavarone. If this is their signature dish, it's not going to attract repeat customers. WAY TOO SALTY to the point that half the dish was tossed out. Chicken Francese looked nice until it was tasted. Another disappointment, with a heavy dose of salt ruining it. Pinza style pizza slices were better tasting. Zucchini with breadcrumbs was just OK. No complaints about the fresh ravioli bought on a prior visit. But all in all, the management could be doing better with the prepared foods that look very nice, but don't meet the taste test for good Italian cuisine. read more

I love you guys, but the lack of staff behind the counter between 4PM and 7PM has turned me off after my 3rd time in two weeks. Cashier said the counter staff is used for deliveries and catering during those hours. I'm going elsewhere unless it's on a weekend. read more
