Bed is not the most comfortable
    Leticia A.

We'll start with the good :) housekeeping is amazing they go above and beyond they leave flowers on the bed and clean towels all the time, the restaurants are really good. My favorite was the Mediterranean the buffet it's like any other buffet lacks flavor, but not too bad. There is a guy named Alessandro really nice and very very helpful guided us to restaurants and he guided us to a presentation which we didn't perches but not to much haggling after we said NO. Water is beautiful and no seaweed they keep up with the beautiful beach. The golf course is nice the food not at all good lol but it was 1 day so no big deal and it's the golf course. Now the bad not all staff is friendly for the most part I can say it's like a 50/50. We had a really nice experience cus Alessandro thanks dude. Hallways need maintaining its ugly and it smells bad but it's the hallways lol the internet does NOT work in room 4612 ocean front corner suit we tried multiple times letting them know but no fix, can't watch tv at night without connecting to WiFi. Phone doesn't work unless on speaker to contact front desk I made the best out of my trip you kind of have to once you're here lol make lemonade right. 4th night Food poisoning and doctors fees $550 usd Door does not lock. Nothing done about it. WiFi never fixed My over all would I come back No.

We loved it and plan on returning! We upgraded to the corner rooftop suite and had the best time. All the staff were very nice and accommodating!

I've been to Cancun more times than I'd like to admit. It's a really easy flight from New York City, and a nice place to relax when you just want a little bit of R&R. We like to stay different places to have new experiences, but this was probably my least favorite of the resorts I've stayed at. Value for money - this would be a 1 out of 5. To be transparent, we paid more than $700 a night for our room (I use the word "paid" loosely, thank you Chase points). For the same amount of money, you can stay at Le Blanc, which is miles ahead of Iberostar in terms of luxury, quality, and service. My first problem with this resort is the salesy upselling at every turn. We hadn't even gotten our room when they wanted us to buy another week long visit at the resort, buy a time share, and use resort credits (like 10% off with a $300 purchase). All the staff also called us "family" which was clearly part of their training and I found it odd. We checked in at 10 AM. We both knew our room might not be ready and the regular check-in was at 3 PM. But the people next to us got their room immediately. We waited until 2:55 PM before we got our room and dozens and dozens of people checked in after us and got their room before us. It felt really frustrating that they didn't make any effort to accommodate our early arrival. The room was large with GORGEOUS ocean views. It had a really nice jetted tub on the balcony which was a nice touch. The decor was dated, minimal, and the floors were covered in dirt and sand. They didn't have any amenities in terms of nice shower gel, bath salts, etc. The shampoo and conditioner was in a communal pump that was "for the environment" clearly a way for the resort to save money. The food was mostly dismal. I know sometimes all inclusive resorts are dicey when it comes to food. And you can't expect everything to be tasty, but the food here was beyond disappointing. Mexican food was extremely hard to find here. I could barely even find a taco during my stay. We're in Mexico?! Quesadillas made with liquid cheese?? Lunch buffet consisted of pasta bar and bad pizza. They have an "American Restaurant" and a "Grill" that served more less than mediocre American food. Even the Mexican restaurant was doing Brazilian night? I was so confused. The whole point of the "Coral Level" was to have a more luxurious stay than the rest of the resort. But.... ALL the restaurants were at the other side of the hotel. The breakfast buffet at Coral was terrible - I think mostly because volume is lower and food is not fresh (beans with a thick dry skin on top from not being touched for hours). I did enjoy the breakfast buffet when we walked to the larger end of the resort. This was a much bigger production, more volume, and fresher food. I did some DIY chilaquiles which was a highlight. They did have a great juice bar. The location of the hotel was nice. The views were gorgeous, and I enjoyed the jet tub on the balcony. For the money, I would definitely not return.

I had to wear this thing for the entire time.

We (150 of us) stayed here to attend the wedding. What could improve? Quite a bit. Ranging from customer service, to accommodation such as bedroom, bathroom..., to restaurants, to food choices, to activities. Here are few : Communication: It wasn't clear to us that if you picked a room you have to pay extra. Staffs can't speak English WELL. Activities: from the website and the resort app, there were 5 or 6 type of activities but all were excluded. We couldn't get the pickleball nor ping pong paddles Accommodation: floor tiles are old, dirty and chipped. My bathroom glass door top hinge was loose (it was a heavy glass door if it fell down I'm in trouble). The AC was loud even at lowest setting. Sink clogged (water slowly drained) Restaurants: we can't make a reservation at the Japanese restaurant. Other restaurants where you don't have to reserve, we couldn't get the table for 10 at both Italian and Steakhouse. Foods wasn't up to standard. My Frutti di mare was awful. Service: I had to wear the wrist band the entire time. To me it grossed. I asked if it can be loosely tied so I can slip off when taking a shower. But the staff insisted that can't be done. ... I can write a whole lot more... I checked the other reviews. How come our rooms don't look like the one that they posted? We are on the 3rd floor. To sum it up, it wasn't a good experience...

This place is definitely A-1. We recently came back from staying at this destination and we weren't disappointed at all. Where do I begin with my review. The place itself. Very beautiful property. Not too far from the airport and really really huge. Coral level itself is in the back of Iberostar resort, but since it's connected you can enjoy the amenities of both. The rooms to coral level were so beautiful. Definitely a beachy themed throughout the whole resort. Plus the view from the room, so nice. It was a plus that each room had tubs in the balcony. Don't want to go swimming with others? You have your tub in your balcony you can use. The food-the food was delicious. There wasn't one in the coral level side that we were disappointed with. La habra on the pool floor might even be better than the food at the iberostar. Although the food selection is sorta limited, you can always go next door at the iberostar for more selections. Definitely will go back. Beautiful resort.

Separate line to schedule COVID test - can't be done at desk while checking in. Very frustrating waste of precious vacation time.

Incredible suite with fantastic views; mole, fresh guac, margaritas; and friendly staff - this, unfortunately, is where the great ends for this resort. We can't go back, specially for the much better quality and offerings you get at other resorts in this price range ($350+ a night). Worst problem: WHERE IS THE AC!? We were always hot around the hotel, except for in our suite and sometimes in the buffet restaurant -- horribly faulty. Even worse? AC was *completely off* around 7 am in the main building (family complex). Seems they turn it off at night and don't turn it back in until like what, 8, 9 am? We were in a sauna basically as we waited to be taken to the airport. RECEPTION/COVID test experience: We arrived around 10:30 a.m. ish, testing had to be arranged in a completely different area (board room), had to wait in separate line. Testing staff was very friendly, process took about an hour. RESTAURANTS: Items were always out in each restaurant and no real effort to replenish them. We felt as of they were trying to take advantage of us/our money and offer the least possible and use COVID as excuse -- when in reality we felt it was poor, very poor management of inventory and offerings. Places didn't always open per the schedule, sometimes as late as 30+ minutes after. By the pool, at 11:18 a.m., we were told snack bar not open for another 20 minutes - app says it opens at 11... we were hungry and had no breakfast from an early flight, couldn't get to room until 3 pm... Lunch buffets: Sad that the quality of the chorizo and the Spanish ham was significantly better at the general buffet rest..and so below par at the Coral Level (adults only) La Barca restaurant. Quality was so hit and miss in general, no consistency...only found the Mexican food to be somewhat palatable, and even rhose dishes were not great sometimes. DINNER (La Barca, a la carte): ran out of quail egg for caesar salad; ran out of gnocchi so our lamb was served alone with the reduction - no side whatsoever. When we asked for a side (mashed potatoes, if available), we got a tiny plate of five 2-inch potato balls (something like "fried mashed potato balls"). Eh? Lamb was tasty, but nothing to write home about really. And talk about plain... MAIN building (Iberostar): Coffee shop had no to-go cups, so no coffee for us before pickup. Almost 7 am and they still only had a salmon bagel and none of the croissants or other snacks. Espresso drinks were good, but not great. Room service: tough steak, asked medium rare and got it well done. Not seasoned, bland. Salmon had a weird sauce, not good. Mexican restaurant: get the MOLE! And the freshly made guac. Those were the only seriously good dishes we had during our entire stay (yes, the food was that disappointing throughout). BARS: While service in form of courtesy and manner was excellent, we caught staff a couple of times trying to sneak in the cheap booze in our cocktails when we would specifically ask for Don Julio. Margaritas were always on point though, definitely get them. POOL: Soooo loud most of the day, which is sad because we picked the adult only option to have a more romantic, quiet time. Nope! Pool has beautiful views, but the entertainment team and patrons get rowdy. Not our style. Really regret skipping my usual Akumal resort for this place.

My friends and I decided to get away in October and had the pleasure of staying at this resort for a few days. The resort really gives that beach feel and everything is so colorful and inviting. When you come in, the staff takes your temperature and they are also wearing masks. The check in process took a little time as we didn't know until we arrived that certain credit cards were not accepted and they were having some issues with their card reader that day. After checking in, it was smooth sailing. Our room was spacious and clean and had an amazing view of the ocean and pool. The only downside to that is the noise if you're trying to nap during the day or go to sleep before 11 p.m. Entertainment: During the day they have a few activities by the pool like sushi making classes, salsa classes, and fitness classes a few times per day. The DJ was great and the music was diverse and upbeat. Around 2 or 3 p.m., the DJ stops and it's really quiet at the pool. I'd suggest having a small, portable speaker if you don't want to sit at the pool in silence. At night they usually have singers performing during dinner. They usually perform until around 11 p.m. hence me mentioning it nay be hard to sleep if you're an early bird. I do wish there was a dance area or club on the resort to give more after dinner options. Food: I was really pleased with the food. There were a good amount of options to choose from for each meal. Just a note, the outdoor grill gets busy during the day. One day it took almost an hour to get a burger and fries. For dinner, they offered the buffet on the first night which was great. The other two nights, they only offered the a la carte so the options were limited. The risotto was amazing, FYI. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and I would stay here again. P.S. The gym is not currently open

Stayed here for 2 nights after a work conference. It was a great resort for what it was worth. Didn't venture out much outside from the hotel and took advantage of room service. I recommend the rooftop private pool room. Amazing view, good amount of privacy, and the outdoor shower is great to keep cool in between tanning.

How can you go wrong with a hot tub on every balcony? In a view of the ocean from every room they have? Adults only come on, you're going to love this place. All inclusive is great the food was delicious. They don't have a ton of restaurants so they can focus on food and they don't make a huge buffet, again so they can focus on the quality not the quantity of food that you get. You can see from some of my pictures that there's a lot of seaweed on the beach and that's just mother nature for you it's not just the beach at the coral it's the beaches up and down at that time of the year and I went in early May. Water is a little rough during that time so we couldn't spend that much time in the ocean, but with a pool like that who cares. I also love love, that your room key is your wristband, you never have to worry about losing your key. And then you have access to the Iberostar next door and all of its restaurants pools workout facilities and it's not a very far walk at all. We got our covid test in our room which was awesome and they emailed the results to us. I don't know how you can't like this place.

Let me start by saying that the staff and views were incredible. Staff were all so friendly, helpful, and kind. The pool at Coral level was beautiful, and lots of fun entertainment. The reason for only 3 stars was that we were disappointed with the food, and lack of AC. Our room was always warm, even with the shades closed all day. The food was definitely disappointing, as a pescatarian, I ate primarily Guac (which was actually fabulous) but even my husband who loves to eat found the food sub par. The buffet had a variety of options, but all were average + the restaurants were fair. Unfortunately we were most disappointed by the 1 Mexican restaurant on site. Overall, this was a fun place, good drinks, good music, but disappointing food choices.

The spa was fantastic, offering step-by-step guidance through the dry sauna, steam room, and both warm and cool pools-such a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. The hotel sits right on the beach with breathtaking views and features several pools, including one with a fun swim-up bar. Dining options were excellent, with several restaurants to choose from, including Mediterranean, Mexican, buffet, Asian, sushi, steakhouse, and American cuisine. Our room was fantastic, with a rainfall shower, comfortable beds, prompt housekeeping, 24-hour room service, and turn-down service. We also enjoyed live entertainment and a night club on the property, yet it remained wonderfully quiet when we wanted to relax. We loved the aromatherapy --it was such a thoughtful touch. The location is very convenient: close to a pharmacy, just across the street from a shopping mall with a mix of upscale and casual dining and shops, and only 10-15 minutes from Cancun's vibrant club zone. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Live Aqua Cancun was a really nice all-inclusive overall. Not perfect, but definitely a relaxing…read moreresort and a place I'd still give four stars. We checked in on a Sunday around 4:30, and the room was already cleaned up and ready. We stayed in one of the terrace rooms on the fourth floor, and the room was well maintained the whole trip. Housekeeping was really good, and the lady who seemed to consistently clean our room was super friendly. They also do evening turndown service between about 6 and 9, which I liked more than I thought I would. The food was hit or miss. Sea Corner was easily the biggest disappointment. You really have to like ceviche to enjoy that spot. I tried the battered fish taco, which was a really small rolled fried fish taco and honestly tasted kind of stale. The red snapper tostada was okay, but still pretty subpar. Overall, Sea Corner is one I would skip. Ciete's breakfast buffet was decent, but still very buffet. Some of the food had that stale, been-sitting-out-too-long taste, but the omelet bar and fresh juice/smoothie bar helped a lot. They have two omelet bars, which spreads people out, and Marco at the smoothie bar was awesome. He remembered me after my first smoothie and was friendly the rest of the trip. Azure was pretty good. We split hummus and pita, and I got the chicken in red wine. The chicken was cooked perfectly and came on a bed of mashed potatoes that were really good. Dessert was just okay. The baklava was very cinnamon-heavy and almost tasted like a churro. MB was good and definitely felt like their "dress up" restaurant. I had the stuffed chicken, my girlfriend had the veal cheek, and we also tried the filet mignon. The filet was cooked perfectly medium rare, and the meal overall was good. Not amazing, but one of the better dinners there. Hidden Garden was probably our favorite restaurant. We went there twice because it was that good compared to the other options. The samosas, gyoza, chicken satay, shrimp fried rice, and desserts were all really good. The Thao, basically their version of orange chicken, was also really good. The pad Thai was okay, but sweeter than I prefer. Their signature cocktails were also really good. The Thursday night show was a nice part of the trip. They had a buffet by the pool, with a mariachi band from 7 to 8 and traditional Mexican dancing from 8 to 9. The dancing was almost like a theater-style show, and that part was great. The buffet was on par or slightly below par. They had a crepe bar, a grill with pretty good steak and chicken, and a couple decent soups, but a lot of it still had that left-out-too-long, slightly stale buffet taste. The entertainment and activities were a big highlight. Trivia every night was great, and karaoke was a blast once people started getting into it. Pablo hosted trivia and karaoke with Jorge as the DJ, and Pablo brought a lot of energy. Jorge also DJs at Egos later at night, and they played a good mix of American dance music and Latin dance music. During the day, we tried archery, water aerobics, bingo, the guacamole class, casino night, and a self-facial class. Archery was a blast, and aqua aerobics in the infinity pool was really fun. Ricky was a ball of energy, and Jocelyn was really cool too. The activities did not feel like boring resort filler, which was a nice surprise. A few things could be better. Pool towel service closes at 6, even though people are still in the pool later. There is also basically no shade in most of the pools, so you get crispy pretty fast. They also need to be clearer about which pool beds are first-come, first-serve and which ones are paid or for Club Aqua. I saw multiple people get moved because it was not explained well. Communication could be better too. Some restaurants are closed on certain days, probably because the resort was around 50% capacity, but they should give you a schedule at check-in. We planned to try Verana, their Italian restaurant, and then found out it was closed that day. The humidity is something to think about. Obviously it is Cancun, but the indoor areas and hallways do not have much air circulation. Our fourth-floor hallway also had a broken water feature with sitting water, and I think that made the hallway smell more humid and musky than the rest of the resort. The drinks were decent, but I would not go in expecting strong resort cocktails. I drank margaritas and pina coladas most of the trip and never really felt much from them. For stronger drinks, shots are probably the better route. Overall, Live Aqua Cancun was a really nice, relaxing trip. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, the activities were way more fun than expected, and Hidden Garden was a nice surprise. The food is not amazing across the board, the pool setup could be better, and communication could use work, but I still had a really good time. Good resort, not perfect, but definitely worth checking out.

Every single person that works at this property is out of this world! Kind, helpful and always going above and beyond to make things memorable! There's always a little bit of construction because they're renovating, so plan accordingly by calling with them to make sure the areas you want open, are open. The new speakeasy is super cute. We visited there one evening and have the best time and service! This isn't the same restaurant where you go to breakfast but at night is a Spanish tapas restaurant. Everything was fantastic but all the food on the property is really great! We especially loved to order lunch by the pool. All the cocktails are fantastic, even poolside! Rooms are standard JW with some of them recently updated with the others on their way to being updated. Yes, there is a sort of a musty smell in the air, but that's in most hotels. It's a very hard to keep those highly humid rooms from smelling a little musty. You just have to get over it and enjoy the time outside the room. Pools are super cute and the beach area is nice. There is an adult pool that is open during the day but wish it was open later! Lots of places in walking distance if you decide to venture out of the property but why would you need to! Easy drive from the airport and to the downtown or for departure to Isla Mujeres. We did not go to the island this time but last time we booked everything through the hotel and they made it super easy.

Unfortunately, for the past two years, our experiences have declined significantly. The hotel no longer maintains the level of service and standards we once loved. The atmosphere feels different, the staff are not as welcoming, and there is a noticeable lack of attentiveness and care. During this stay, we had a particularly unpleasant two-day experience at the beach regarding the setup of lounge chairs and umbrellas. Rather than going into every detail, I will simply say the situation was handled poorly and left us very disappointed. What was most upsetting was that no meaningful effort was made to resolve the issue or make up for the inconvenience. Even after speaking with Guest Relations, who mentioned contacting the General Manager, nothing improved the following day. No accommodation or gesture was offered, which was surprising given the hotel's luxury positioning. It is also noticeable that the property feels quite empty during weekdays, except on special occasions or long weekends. Even then, the warmth and hospitality we once associated with this hotel seem to be missing. That said, I want to sincerely recognize Valenzo, who served us daily. He was professional, kind, and incredibly attentive. We never had to ask for anything, he would notice small details, like refilling ice before we even realized it was melting. His service was outstanding and he truly tried to make our stay better. Thank you, Valenzo. You made a difference. It is genuinely sad to see a place that once meant so much to us lose its standard. We hope management takes guest feedback seriously and invests in retraining staff to restore the level of service this property was once known for.

The reality was the exact opposite. Check-in took over an hour because staff claimed they couldn't find our Expedia reservation. Another person in our group had already paid for services through the resort's website but was repeatedly asked for additional payment. Our group spent an extra $1,000 on upgrades hoping to improve the experience. It didn't. The rooms were small, outdated, dirty, and not worth the extra cost. The food was terrible. We expected mixed quality based on reviews, but much of it was barely edible. Making dinner reservations felt intentionally difficult, and once we finally secured them, we were forced to sign agreements acknowledging additional fees if we were late. The biggest disappointment was the complete lack of atmosphere. There was very little music, almost no nightlife, and most activities shut down before 11 PM. We ended up leaving the resort almost every night so the boys could find entertainment elsewhere. What frustrates me most is how misleading the marketing is compared to the actual experience. After more than 15 years of booking travel through Expedia, I'm genuinely disappointed that Expedia continues to partner with and promote a resort that feels built around false advertising, upselling, and disappointing guests. We trusted the Expedia brand, and this resort fell far short of the experience it promised. Save your money and book somewhere else.

The staff is genuinely friendly, always smiling, and quick to help with anything. Casa Madre became my go‑to spot for breakfast. Tons of options, fresh food, and something for every mood. They don't have the fancy frappes or over-the-top drinks, but their "Special Coffee" (fresh coffee mixed with cinnamon and honey) is perfect. Simple, warm, and honestly better than anything blended. They have several options of the usual themed restaurants. Casa Madra is the Mexican one and probably the least interesting, there were was an odd lack of salt on the chips and food :-) The Japanese combo restaurant (sushi and hibachi) appears confusing to customers and staff :-) Much of the sushi related menu appears to have an additional cost. I was told that the California Roll roll was extra, but the sashimi platter had a roll? The Diakon Maki was great. No chopsticks available for some reason close to closing? Hibachi was okay but I was missing the "yum yum sauce" :-) The unique beach side Delphina restaurant is probably the best and have some good dishes. Had a great red snapper catch of the day at the Hana restaurant. Two restaurants double for buffet style breakfast serving. The one at the Mexican restaurant is open to the outdoors, but they have hawk trainers to keep the birds away :-) The Champions sport bar is out by the main entrance door to the left. Open 12m to 12am. Damien is great. Pro tip: get a latte from the main lobby and top off with Bailey from the sports bar before the lobby bar opens at 4pm : Janssen has some cool tricks and drinks at the lobby bar :-) Very clean, staff of all levels picking up things everywhere. There is turn down service here, which I wasn't expecting. Large number families with kids, which didn't brother us. Count on a destination wedding party over a weekend stay :-) Coming here between the two US holidays (Thanksgiving & Xmas) there is a dip of occupancy to around 50% it appears. All in all positive and not a bad place to burn your Marriott points in my mind. It may not be a high-end all inclusive resort but will fit many just fine :-)

Sometimes all inclusive hotels can feel gimmicky, like being on a cruise ship or something. This was not that at all. This was a high end experience from start to finish. The hotel service and facilities are impeccable. I was blown away by the care they take to tend to each guest. I was only there for a few days and people took the effort to learn my name and my personal preferences. To start, the room was incredible. I stayed in a suite and it had a juccuzi right inside the room and an ocean view with a hammock. The room also came with a mini bar which was restocked daily (although you could also call and request anything at any time). Every day they had a different schedule of activities for guests with quality entertainment (not tacky acts). They had all all white party with a circus one day which was fun, a foam party, bull riding and more. The food deserves its own review. It exceed my expectations by a lot. They had several food options to choose from, including an Asian restaurant, a Mediterranean restaurant, a mexican restaurant a cafe and a global buffet. The restaurants were all open extended hours until 10 or 10:30 so there were always food options available. The global buffet did different themed dinners every night. Of the restaurants, I liked all but I'd say the Mediterranean was the most high quality. The preparation and taste was on par with any top NYC restaurant. The octopus dish was especially memorable. Second favorite was probably the Mexican restaurant. They have a chef from Oaxaca who makes a great mole. At each restaurant, the managers always made an effort to stop by my table to make sure I had what I needed. The employees genuinely care about serving you and they do it gladly. Sometimes you go to places where the employees are disgruntled or have a bad attitude. Not the case here at all. Everyone seemed generally happy and in a good mood. It felt like most of the people here were celebrating something, whether a bachelorette party or birthday, but it didn't feel overall raucous or anything. They had a silent disco one night and I think that also helped with any potential late night noise issues. I was really impressed with how well curated the schedule of activities was. Additionally, the hotel was very clean. When I first got in, people were mopping. They're constantly changing pool towels that are left out. Everything was spotless. The sheets were crisp and white. My room was changed to my liking. No complaints. One of the better places I've stayed. I would definitely come back in a heart beat. I loved it here!

This was not my first visit to Hyatt Zilara Cancun and it was actually my amazing experience here in 2019 that started my loyalty to Hyatt. I am currently a World of Hyatt Discoverist member, and after my first visit to Zilara, we loved the Hyatt experience so much that we chose Hyatt Ziva for our vow renewal in 2022. Because of that, returning to Zilara was something I had looked forward to for years. First, the staff at this resort deserves so much recognition. My concerns are not a reflection of the employees because the service was consistently excellent throughout our stay. From before we even arrived to our final day, everyone we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely wanted guests to have a great experience. Before our trip, Eddie reached out as our concierge and was extremely helpful in making sure we were prepared for our stay. He helped coordinate our spa services ahead of time and assisted us with securing a late checkout, which made our trip much smoother and more relaxing. At check-in, Luis helped us on the World of Hyatt side and was wonderful. He explained the changes and additions to the resort, helped us understand reservations, and made sure we had the information we needed. Throughout the resort, the service remained consistent. Even when I had a meal I didn't enjoy, a staff member at the teppanyaki restaurant was genuinely concerned, offered alternatives, and wanted to make it right. That level of care stood out. Our room was excellent. We stayed on the fifth floor in a corner room and it was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The bed was fantastic, and I loved the pillows so much I am actually trying to find out what kind they are so I can buy them for home. The bathroom was great, especially the mirror with multiple lighting options. The shower had great water pressure and plenty of hot water, which I always appreciate. The only thing I personally missed was having a bathtub, but overall I had no complaints about the room. The resort itself is beautiful and extremely clean. The pool area is relaxing with comfortable chairs, and it was never difficult to find a place to sit. The atmosphere is definitely more quiet and relaxing rather than a party environment, which can be a positive depending on the type of trip you want. The beach was well maintained, especially considering the seaweed situation during our visit. The staff worked hard to keep it cleaned up, and the things outside of the resort's control, like weather and ocean conditions, did not impact my opinion. The spa was absolutely phenomenal and I wrote a separate review specifically for that experience because it deserves its own recognition. The gym was also impressive for a resort gym. There was plenty of equipment, treadmills, a stretching/yoga space, and even a Pilates studio. I was hoping to participate in Pilates, but the class filled up quickly. I thought the fitness offerings were a nice addition. Where this stay fell short for me was the food. At an all-inclusive resort, the food experience is such a huge part of the overall value because you are eating every meal on property. When we visited in 2019, one of our favorite memories was eating at Pelicanos by the pool, so we were excited to return there first. We knew things had changed since our last visit, but unfortunately the quality and options did not feel the same. We tried several restaurants, and while the service was always great, the food itself was disappointing. The Italian restaurant felt very bland overall, although the bread service and tiramisu were enjoyable. The cacio e pepe and pasta dishes did not meet expectations. The teppanyaki experience also was not what I expected. I was hoping for more of a traditional hibachi-style experience, and the meat quality was disappointing. The buffet was fine, especially breakfast, but nothing really stood out. Room service was quick and the staff was friendly, but again the food itself was not something we loved. My favorite treat on property ended up being the ice cream at the coffee shop. The biggest thing I missed was having easy poolside food options. When I'm at an all-inclusive, I love being able to relax by the pool and grab things like quesadillas, ceviche, or small bites without stopping the pool day. The lack of that type of experience was probably my biggest disappointment. Drinks and pool service were great, and the staff did a wonderful job checking on guests. I personally don't drink alcohol, but it was clear they were attentive with beverages. Entertainment was limited compared to some other all-inclusive resorts. There were some activities and a few performances, but not the larger
