The ice cream was incredibly smooth and creamy, with a rich, sweet milk flavor that was almost like eating milk powder; the marshmallow was soft and chewy with a bubbly texture, and the cookie was crisp. It would have been even better without the chocolate adding unnecessary sweetness and a hard texture. Rotating Vegan Soft Serve: From color to taste, it's basically pineapple-flavored. Soft serve is better suited for fruit flavors, and this one had a very natural fruity taste, with just the right amount of tartness, making it refreshing and delightful. I've always been a big fan of Ice Cream Bae since their opening in the Kansas City marketplace in the plaza. I'm glad to see they have their own shop on the plaza now! It was hard to find when driving as it was a bit tucked away. I came on a Sunday evening and I was the only customer there. The nice lady at the counter was very patient and friendly answering my questions and recommended me what to get. I wanted to branch out a bit and not get my usual. I was honestly not a fan of what I got. It was a interesting mixture of the two. Personally, not my favorite. After ordering and was waiting for the icecream, the place was very dirty and sticky. I didn't feel comfortable sitting so I opted to standing. The tables/counters had ice cream stains and there was trash left behind. My only feedback is there were a lot of workers that day that were in the back (not sure what they were doing) I would recommend to just check where your customers are waiting and make sure the area is at least clean. The Leawood location is always clean (so I would expect the Plaza one would be the same too). read more

When you walk in it is a very tiny store, but very clean. This locations has been a lot of things throughout the years but usually a coffee or chocolate shop and now it is ice cream! When I'm in the plaza with friends who are visiting, I show them ice cream bae. They do a great job marketing and making sure everything is clean and straightforward. They have a variety of flavors and are able to get the ice cream made quickly. I remember my first time instagramming my ice cream because it is a very photogenic ice cream. In terms of taste, I definitely think there are better ice creams out there, but it is nice to get away from all the chains.
