One time I stopped in for The Strawberry Thus Far (The Story Thus Far.) Another visit introduced me to the Glow On Float (Turnstile.) Then I came back for the Baja Blast (a 90s-inspired riff of the old Taco Bell Mountain Dew flavor to the extreme!) Maybe, if I'm lucky, they'll make a James Dean and Audrey Hepburn inspired dish. What a great place! I stopped in with a friend the other day for the first time and we enjoyed it a lot. The shop is cute and the service was great. Very friendly. She got something with a chocolate base and it was AMAZING. I got the cookie butter with pretzels. It was delicious, but I liked hers better. We also got the pumpkin whoopie pies. I came with my friends and got a scoop of ice cream. The ice cream was decent, but you can really taste that oat flavor. I am not a huge fan of oats, but I appreciate that it is probably as healthy as ice cream can be. On theme with the shop was an emo cashier who did not seem like she wanted to be there. We saw Sweet EMOtion on the Pitch's Best of KC nominee list, and I am so glad that we trekked up to North KC for this!!! They make delicious (mostly) vegan ice cream with oat milk! The employee at the counter recommended the Cherry Thrill, and the cherry flavor was awesome with chunks of dark chocolate! Good portion size too. The vibes inside are super fun. Communal seating with many different size tables. The Rino stage for live comedy and music is inside on the right, and there's a bar towards the back! The ice cream window is all the way against the back wall by the CREAM neon sign! Seems like a great place to eat some ice cream, grab a drink, and enjoy a live performance! On a weeknight, we never struggle to find street parking on a side street to hang out in North KC, but there doesn't appear to be a designated parking lot so enjoy a little walk! read more

They have oatmilk soft serve in vanilla, chocolate and a rotating flavor. You can get a cone, bowl or shake and add toppings on each. Ice cream was delicious. There was a band playing in the place next door that the shop opens up to. The vibe was upbeat for the time of night we went. Costumers playing cards, hanging out on the couches or standing around watching the band. It was a very different experience for an ice cream shop. They have several options and the best part most of GF, Dairy Free, and vegan. My entire party enjoyed their choices. My only complaint is the ice cream bar that's compared to the Dilly bar has WAY too much chocolate on it. It was hard to bite into and most of the bar the chocolate over powered the ice cream.
