So if you're looking for some ice cream, that's the scoop. Ice cream not soft serve this is the place for you. They serve Hershey's ice cream here so it's pretty good ice cream. All of the standard flavors are there including some exciting ones that are more southern like key lime pie. Now they also have a section where you can get chocolates and different things like truffles and stuff that's dipped. So that was pretty cool to look at. And they also have a gummy section . The section you just fill your bag yourself and then they weigh it at the end. I will say that I'm a gummy connoisseur and I always love me some peachy o's. And I went through the gummy section kind of pressing with the scooper to make sure that they were all fresh before I purchased them. A few were a little bit harder than I expected and I skipped those ones. But I got a ton of bags of different things so most of them were good to go. And I almost forgot they do have taffy that was also fill your own bag and could be weighed at the end. The taffy is something that tripped me up. Because I couldn't really test it like I could. The gummies and they were 100% harder than I would like my taffy to be. You could definitely heat it up in your hands before you chewed it, but it was hard. The ice cream was good and most of the gummies were good. So I would come back.

    Fun photo ops too!!!

One of our favorite Pensacola beach stops!! This shop could not possibly be any cuter. The icecream is pretty good, with some rotating flavors and free samples. The staff is usually kind and attentive as well!

If iced coffee is listed as an option, it would help if the staff were more familiar with how to prepare it. Our server had to come back and ask for clarification, and what I received felt more like a flavored iced coffee with a shot rather than a true iced double espresso. I also had to add my own cream, which made it seem like hot coffee might be more their specialty. The food itself was solid, though a bit on the pricey side. The scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and toast were decent. The poached egg with salmon on grilled eggplant and arugula was tasty, and the home fries were a standout--unexpectedly excellent. Service was attentive and kind throughout, which I appreciated. However, the wait time after ordering was noticeably long, and there was a 3% convenience charge for using a debit card, which was noted on the receipt. I don't typically give less than 4 stars, but this feels like a place that could easily improve with some small adjustments.

They have a cool layout with both indoor and outdoor seating. They have a cool area downstairs too by the water with tables for people to wait at. The place just embodies a beach restaurant. Food You had me a "Fried Green Tomatoes". I am a sucker for FGTs! So I was instantly drawn to this location. We visited first to get food to go. We enjoyed the food so much we returned to more times! The kids really enjoyed the kids meals, and my wife tried several seafood dishes and seemed to enjoy all of them. As a vegetarian my selections were limited but the stuff i did try was good. The Drinks We ordered a few of their mixed drinks and I wasn't really impressed. They all looked a lot better than they tasted. They did have a really good beer selection and I was able to enjoy a few beers I had never heard of. Service Definitely the Highlight of our visits, their servers and bartenders really seem to care! They spoke to everyone, they interacted with our kids, they never forgot sides, they moved with urgency, I could go on and on. Kudos to Shaggy's staff as a whole for really making our visits special. I definitely recommend giving Shaggy's a try.

It seemed as though the dinner crowd started to thin out around seven to seven thirty. When we were seated, the first available was a two seat high top next to a column in front of the bar. The wait was expected, but the column was claustrophobic and it was a high traffic area. But that was the only downside. We had the Gator Bites and the Three Shrimp plate. The Gator was new to us, it was fried, and tasted like chicken. There seemed to be a mix of white and dark meat, but I am not sure as we have never had Gator before. The Three Shrimp was 15 Shrimp prepared three different ways: Bacon Wrapped, Coconut, and Butter/Garlic. The shrimp were served on a bed of fries with two hush puppies. The sauce they served was an unexpected surprise and I could have used two containers. I probably liked the Bacon Wrapped the best because of the glaze that was on it, but all three were really good. I really liked Shaggy's but would recommend timing it either before or after the dinner rush. Also, if you are dining for two, I would be sure to request that you not be seated at the high top in front of the bar with the column :)

I've been long overdue for some rest and relaxation. I'd been to Pensacola years ago visiting some…read morefriends and loved my time there. I decided this would be an excellent place for a little break. I am a Hilton Diamond member. I appreciate the quality and service that come with the Hilton experience. This trip did live up to my high expectations with a few minor improvements. I was able to check in and select my room ahead of time on the Hilton app. I did stop by the desk to grab a set of key cards for my party. The lobby is on the smaller side. The space is warm and inviting. The lobby has a very small shop for incidentals and a Starbucks kiosk. Off the lobby is their main restaurant Salt. I will write a separate review about the restaurant. Our room was located in the tower which is accessible around the back side of the restaurant to get to the elevators. The tower has 17 floors and only two elevators servicing the tower. During peak times, there could be a considerable wait for a ride up or down. We had a two queen suite with the additional bunk beds. There were three guests total in our party and we were very comfortable. The bunk beds are tucked in near the entrance. Walking in there is a generous sleeping space with two beds, two closets , nightstand, and dresser/tv stand. Definitely room to spread out. The beds were comfortable, the linens soft and cool. My only issue are those feather pillows that seem to be pervasive to every Hilton I've been to. One pillow isn't enough and two are too many. I just need to start bringing my own. Walking back, we had a well appointed bathroom with separate tub and shower perfect for parents with small children. I would have liked more hooks or a towel rack for hanging bathroom linens. It was ok for three people, but any more than that could be a challenge. The water pressure in the shower was great. The toiletries were also very nice, with a bright fresh scent. Walking further back, we had a nice sized living space with sleeper sofa, chair, coffee table, small dining table, and a reasonably functional kitchenette. There's a sink, generous sized mini fridge, and microwave. We were able to have an Instacart order delivered with a small amount of provisions. My favorite part of the room was the balcony. We over looked the pool and had stunning views of the beach and the water. We did encounter some issues with housekeeping during our stay. Service was unpredictable and sometimes non existent. I realize a hotel this size it can be difficult keeping up with checkouts and daily service. One day in particular I had to approach the front desk staff three times over a period of 3-4 hours about service for our room. The housekeeping staff I interacted with spoke limited English and so it was a challenge to approach them directly for assistance. The best perk about our stay is the amount of access to some kind of water. The back of the hotel walks right down to the beach. They have a very nice sized pool and separate kiddie pool. Plenty of loungers and umbrellas. The bar Sal de Mar is steps from your chair. Plus, with your stay you get access to the pools at three of the adjacent hotels: Holiday Inn, Fairfield Inn, and Hampton Inn. We were able to spend the day exploring all of these amenities. We recommend checking out the Holiday Inn and Fairfield Inn pools. Both have a fantastic layout, and features. The only downside was not being able to charge my bar tab to my room! My only frustration with the pool was the towel situation. There were never enough towels to be had. I stopped by our first evening after we were done swimming and they were completely out of towels. I figured it's the end of the day and they probably ran out. I was up early the following morning to walk the beach. I went to grab a towel and was told they didn't have any. I would assume that they would have been washed overnight and ready for the next day. I went to the front desk and was put in touch with the pool manager. She explained to me that this has been a challenge for sometime. It's not just this hotel in particular but most of the other hotels have a similar problem. One thing I did notice is that the pool attendants do not clean the pool deck at the end of their shift. There's trash, towels etc strewn around. We also did late night swims several nights and saw towels on pool chairs that had been sitting all day. I passed through early the following morning and those towels were still sitting on the chairs and ground. They would benefit from someone doing a quick walk through at the end of the night. I also noted there wasn't a clearly marked area for returning your used towels. Other than this suggestions, this is definitely something that needs to be addressed further up the in the organization. All in all, my stay here made for a fantastic vacation. The staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The amount of amenities were fantastic. They lived up to my expectations of the Hilton name.

If you're paying more than $150, then it's not worth it. The balcony doors are rusted and now use "new locks" that are rusted as well. 5/10/2026: Grand Marlin is top-notch!…read more We had an incredible experience here on May 10th. Our server, Brittany, gave excellent service and was incredibly accommodating. Since the three of us in our group aren't big eaters, we asked to split a portion of everything we ordered, and she didn't blink an eye. We started with the BBQ shrimp, which was fantastic! It's not a heavy, traditional BBQ flavor--it's more of a rich, New Orleans-style sauce. With six shrimp total, it was perfect for splitting, especially with the delicious bread served alongside it to soak up that amazing sauce. Nom!! Two of us split the wedge salad, and Brittany happily accommodated our special request for ranch instead of blue cheese. Our other friend had the kale salad and thoroughly enjoyed it. For the main course, the three of us split the filet mignon, which came with a dollop of mashed potatoes. The char on the steak was absolutely fabulous, and the potatoes paired with it perfectly! The restaurant is fairly dark and can get a bit noisy on busy nights, but we enjoyed our time immensely. Grand Marlin has private rooms and is easily the most high-end restaurant on Pensacola Beach. Our total was $178.00 before tip, which is well worth it. The attire ranges anywhere from dressy to beach casual, they have several great seating options for special occasions, and there's even a gift shop with some great finds. For anyone who remembers, this used to be the Boy on a Dolphin years ago. As an honorary Pensacolian since 1975, I consider myself a bit of an expert on all things Pensacola Beach--and you won't be disappointed here! Pro tip: Get a group photo by the bay before leaving. Even at night, it shows off those perfect Pensacola views.
