Ate here on a Saturday night got to pick our seats and Kayla was our server. Place was clean def sports friendly which my son enjoyed. Placed our order pizza came with wrong toppings which happens and Kayla was great she offered d"us fries etc till new pizza was made. Didn't take long new pizza came out and it was AMAZING!! Possibly the smallest wings I've ever seen in my life. They actually use the term "teeny tiny" on their website that I only just found. Rip off city folks. And they only sell wings in groups of 12, you can't order 18 because how small their wings are the 12 they sell is really like 6-7 normal wings. And it doesn't stop there, the little amount of celery that comes with the wings is a joke. Last week I got 2 pieces barely 2" inches long for 12 wings. I've been eating here in and off for over 10 years only because of the lack of anything in the area to go to but when my pinky finger is bigger than the average wing it's time to end this relationship. Go anywhere else. Tornetta's, it's just wings, mikes brick oven pizza, little Philly, little Italy. It's suburban Philly all the places I mentioned have good pizza and cheesesteaks as well. We walk in a little after 9pm, they told us there was no dine in service, only take out, then the bartender or whoever was standing behind the bar tells us that they have a 50 person high school reunion coming in so we probably can't sit at the bar either. Chill place with good service. The wings were described as small and mighty on the menu so I knew what I was getting as far as size. It happens I do actually like the small wings even though they aren't as meaty but they do give you 12 and I paid the extra $1 for flats only, which I appreciate the option. Could have used a bit more sauce but I wasn't going to pay an upcharge for that too. I got the spicy buffalo sauce which I really did like although anyone who wants SPICY might be disappointed but it was a true classic buffalo sauce likely made with Frank's Red Hot. Blue cheese dip was good too. The price of the wings was a little more than I'd expect for the area for 12 very small wings even before any optional upcharges. Oh and I did order them well done which I'd recommend if you want them crispy. The brisket sandwich was said to be really good. The pierogi were fine but probably wouldn't get again. long time patron, first time food poison I live nearby and the ice house has been a staple in my life for decades. however I'm writing this poor review (unfortunately) after spending over $50 only to wind up with food poisoning. I tried contacting the restaurant several times over several days this last week - always asking and requesting to speak with management to discuss what happened to me... you'd think as a business they'd leap at an opportunity to help a long-time customer but I can't even get someone from ice house to send a reply e-mail or acknowledge the fact I even bought their food and became violently nauseous and sick. I went to Pottstown to show how much I care about you..... Ice House, I have heard great things about Ice House. I wish I hadn't heard great things because I went in with high expectations. Plus missing the turn onto High St didn't help my demeanor. It was a good cheesesteak but I was expecting a great cheesesteak. My cheesesteak looked much different than pictures of other Ice House cheesesteaks that I have seen. It was still a very tasty and good cheesesteak. I got it with sweet peppers and Ice House sauce. They describe the sauce as a marinara, my limited culinary skills tell me it was a vinaigrette'y marinara. It was a great vegetable sandwich w/cheesesteak meat. Overall all pretty good experience. I will never patronize this restaurant again. We went today to pick up cheesesteaks and witnessed unfair treatment of what appeared to be a man very down on his luck. He was turned away from purchasing a 6 pack because he was wearing a jacket hanging open without a shirt. It comes with lettuce, carrots, mushrooms, raw onions, radishes, cucumbers with the skin cut off, turkey, ham, roast beef, big pieces of cheese, and green peppers. Oh and broccoli. My girlfriend loves breakfast here. I'm not a breakfast guy but I usually just keep it simple. Today I wasn't feeling it but we went anyway. She had the meat lovers skillet as usual. I asked for a cheesesteak. It was 11:00 mind you. That's within lunch hours. I was told they don't serve lunch until 11:45. Ok I get not wanting to start making pizza or Stromboli at 11:00 though they do during the week. But when you serve cheesesteak omelets, cheese steak skillets, and the King Street sandwich which is steak and eggs on a hoagie roll. How hard is a normal cheesesteak.
