I really appreciate how the rink is set up. The center is clearly marked off, which helps keep people practicing doing middle work from drifting into the main traffic flow. It makes the whole floor feel more organized and safer for everyone. The rink itself feels like it's on the larger side, so there's plenty of room to skate without feeling cramped. Adult nights are especially fun. They lean more into electro and dance music, which keeps the energy up. Pricing is reasonable, and I love seeing how they give back to the community. The last time I was there, they were collecting food donations for a local pantry, which says a lot about the kind of business they are. There's also a back room with video games and a smaller practice space that's separate from the main floor, which is a huge plus if you want to work on something. Around the rink, there's plenty of seating for breaks, with storage cubbies underneath, which is super convenient. Overall, it's a really solid rink with a great atmosphere and a strong sense of community. Definitely worth checking out, especially for adult night.

This was a fun little outing in downtown Denver, right off the 16th street mall. The string lights…read moreand decorations (which aren't super visible in my photo) make this a very cute rink. A group of six of us went on a Sunday afternoon, and it was crowded, but we didn't have to wait long to get our skates. The way it works is that the ice skating rink is free, but you have to pay to rent skates. If you own your own skates, then, the experience is completely free! To rent skates, you wait outside in front of a little booth and get a wrist and then go to the window next to that one and say which size you'd like. Despite the rink being crowded, the wait for skates was very short. Service was friendly and efficient. The skates weren't the highest quality, and they use ski boot like buckles rather than laces, but I can't complain given the convenience and price. The ice rink gets smoothed over/cleaned using a Zamboni every so often, and when that happens, you can stand by fire pit stands (I'm not sure what they're called?) or sit on the benches right outside the rink. We stayed for about an hour and a half to two hours and had a good time. This is a great activity for families and friends alike!

A great facility in Breckenridge, Colorado!…read more Two sheets of ice (one indoor, one "outdoor"). The outdoor rink has a roof and is exposed on one side, but with the green tarps in place - the weather element was negligible (at least in October). Seating for the indoor rink is great. The outdoor rink only has a few metal bleachers, but you can walk around the rink to spectate from the side of the player benches. Be prepared for some mud and wind though (it rained the weekend I watched games). Their is a snack bar inside that carried plenty of junk food options and one of the local saloons setup a burger and brat stand in front of the main entrance (smelled great, but I did not try anything). Quite a bit of parking, but I expect it is harder to find a spot during ski season.

I was towed along with the grandkids, Uncles and Aunts to an "outdoor skating rink". I was looking to find the cute little skating rink envisioned in those quaint ski resort villages of movie yesteryear. Instead, I thought we were walking into the local hockey training facility when I was pointed in the back for the outdoor (coooooold) recreational area filled with kids, parents, and a couple of uncles dancing to a "Blades of Glory" skating scene. Sheesh, can't take these guys anywhere. The skating round and round quickly found that 10K feet is hard to skate like at sea level. A lot of gasping for air was going on. Also, the uncles and aunts commandeered the learning blocks from all of the young kids, and that mostly led to our dismissal and pointing us to the door. Staff were cool. They need a bar. Dicks

My wallet appreciates the low $6.75 admission cost for the 1ish hour public skate session. Add another $6 if you plan on renting skates. +2nd star is for the hours. They are one of the few rinks that offers several public skate sessions throughout the day, even on weekdays!! +3rd star is for the league game hours. Sounds silly but when the latest game I have to worry about my BF playing is at 8 pm, I'm a happy girl. Over all the ice is alright. It has it's good days and it's bad days. Weekends are definitely crowded!! I tend to go on weekdays during either the 10 am session or the 1 pm (all depends if I sleep in!) to avoid the crowds. Though during the weekdays you run the risk of school field trips. For the adult rec hockey league experience I would be tempted to lower my rating if this was all that I was basing my review on. I have definitely experienced better. The stands almost always have trash strewn about. Several of the refs just don't seem to pay attention to what's happening on the ice, while another was on a power trip one night calling I don't even know what (he extended a penalty by two minutes because the door to the box was slammed closed, WTF?! You have to slam them to close them.) It seems they let things get a bit out of hand with the games. They offer an online payment option for fees that the team really enjoyed. I'm sure that I'll continue coming here because of the hours public skate is offered, but I look forward to my BF's team moving to some new ice.
