Ahh Good old iceberg!! It's been a long time since we've visited an ice berg. Actually, since they moved the one out of Taylorsville for the new 7-11. Yeah, since then. But this area has one. It looks fairly new, maybe a few years old. The drive through was empty when we went and the ordering process was smooth. We get to the window and we waited maybe 5-6 minutes the most. They had lights lined up all around their roof tops and it made me feel like I was in some sort of spa. Ha! Could you imagine a spa serving ice cream? Don't steal my idea. Anyways, I forget how big the regular sizes are. It's double cupped so you don't have to worry about leaks. But man, I could only finish half of a regular sized shake. I mixed peanut butter ice cream with recess. YUMMMY!!! If you're looking for a late night treat, check this location out. It's worth the drive. read more

I was so bummed! I ordered a red raspberry shake with cheesecake in it and it was one of the most terrible flavors I've eaten. It tasted like red dye and bubblegum. Zero real fruit flavor. I was so excited to try it, but would never order a fruit flavor again. read more

Family night eating out night we chose to come here as we really are fans of their shakes to begin with. We ordered: iceberg burger, three kids meals, grasshopper shake, and chocolate shake. The Iceberg burger was just A-OK, nothing really to come back again for. I asked extra onions in my burger and although they did oblige, the onions were in square shaped which is strange because usually they are in circles. The kids meals were just alright, again, nothing impressive. My chocolate shake is the one thing that never disappoints, it always satisfies and the texture and flavor of it is just my favorite. The other shake - the grasshopper, which consists of mint and Oreo, was a bit disappointing. The vanilla ice cream is mixed in with mint syrup, the Oreo cookies were pulverized (too small), and the vanilla ice cream wasn't mixed in all the way with mint syrup. Proper grasshopper shake includes real hot fudge mixed in, and this shake was dumped with chocolate syrup. The service was actually way better than the food - I will def come back if it was just for the service! Iceberg shakes rock! My rating today is solely based on the shakes. This is a family tradition sun or snow for us and some siblings. Whenever they come into town, one of our first visits is to Iceberg for their towering shakes. I still remember the first time we ordered shakes (MANY years ago at another location) and the shake magician walked over to us with these large cups with ice cream several inches above the rim. With big eyes I hesitantly said, "Um... we ordered smalls," to which she replied with a knowing smile, "oh, this IS a small." So next time, just for the experience, I ordered a larger size and needed help to finish. The shakes are creamy, and filled with the favor add-ins. I love me a cherry shake, Chocolate cherry, raspberry, peanut butter, and lots of others. If family is not in town, then you know we will be taking pics of us eating our shakes and texting them for a jovial moment of rubbing it in. read more

Unfortunately, I don't think I will be back! Ordered their cheeseburger and the meat was dry, overcooked, and didn't have much flavor. The bun wasn't toasted at all and just too much bread for the size of the patty. The only flavor was from the fry sauce on the burger which was too much and dripping everywhere. Their fries were okay but needed more salt. Their shake didn't have much flavor (ordered cookie dough and peanut butter). I couldn't taste peanut butter at all. I had five bites and threw it away. read more

Came here to get a Nutella shake and a cookies and cream shake on a Thursday night. Surprisingly, there is always a line here, so we had to wait for about 15 mins before getting our shakes. The shakes were well-mixed and thick. I love it! The downside is that each shake (even the kids size) is over $5, so look for coupons if you come! (there seem to be quite a few!) read more

ICE CREAM ONLY review Pretty solid shake. If you get anything with caramel be warned it is more liquified. I opened the lid to my praline caramel shake and it ran all over and down the cup. The spoon they give you doesn't quite fit through the hole very well. But the shake still tasted amazing! And they did warn me it's runny due to the caramel. I also had a Reese shake which was incredible it must have had chocolate cone dip in it too. Loved the thickness and flavors. Loved that they had a drive through as well! Great new location. I love the drive through and easy to read menu. I wish they had outdoor seating though. Their over-the-top shakes are where it's at but don't forget their new seasoned tots! Ranch or Cajun tots were so delicious, it gave my typical quick "ice cream and fries" meal a good umph. Remember that their Mini shake is huge but still good for one person if you love ice cream. I really wanted to give a better review but this was the best I could do. we noticed they opened this location a several months back. we drove by this last weekend while visiting family and it looked like the place was closed from state street. we noticed two cars parked out back a figured it was most likely employee cars and that they might be open. we enjoy supporting new or slower establishments. overall most of the food was great. The hamburgers were a little wet and smashed but still worth 3-4 star. The two employees were definitely trying but we're struggling a little. Overall we hope they can stay in business and it's worth stopping in to give them a chance. read more

i've been to this location before and typically the service/food is so-so. however, this time around was just bad. i went through the drive-thru and the worker seemed to be rushing me and just irritated (i can understand people have bad days, but this was much) at the end of our order she read back what she had down and it seemed as if it were an entirely different order and we had to re-order all over again. then at the window both staff in drive-thru were hardly communicating with us and if anything was said to us it short and snappy. when we got home our order was wrong and things were missing. we didn't bother to call or go back because we were just done interacting with the staff read more

More than 25 years ago, we would go out of our way to get shakes for the kids at the original one on 3900 South. Now there's one in Pleasant Grove! It is a great place for shakes! Just be prepared for the ice cream shake to be a good 2 inches above the double cup. I also like their Fresh Lime and Lime Rickey. I can also recommend their chicken strips! Still good food for a fair price. Just know they can get busy on a Saturday evening and late night. read more

I have seen a few of these "Iceberg Drive Inn" places here in the state and finally decided to give it a go. This location doesn't look like it's been open for too long honestly. A few of the locations I've seen in Salt Lake county seem a little bit more "vintage". Vintage meaning older and maybe even original. The girl was not the happiest to be there but it's work so I guess I get it. I just got your average cheeseburger, fries and coke. One of my favorite things about being in Utah is the default to get fry sauce when you get fries. The burger tasted good, the fries were good and everything was exactly how I wanted it. I am not gonna lie, I was really struck by how cute it looked in there. It was nice and clean but also gave obvious "diner" vibes. I love it! Definitely a cool place to visit. read more

Wow! I was pleasantly surprised by the cookies and cream shake from iceberg. Although there was a little wait (as expected during busy hours), we were very happy with this location! The smallest sized milkshake was quite big for me, so I didn't get to finish it all. I ended up freezing the leftover shake in the freezer, and it surprisingly stayed soft and creamy in the freezer after a month! The only thing is that it's quite expensive for a shake. read more

Picked up drive thru order last night, they have a decent turnaround time overall. One thing I found is that this place is one where you want to order the iceberg burger because they use a different bun and meat on the Jr burger and it's worth upgrading. I'm a big fan of their Cajun tots because they are nice and crispy. They don't have it on the menu but you can still order them! read more

Came all the way from Texas to visit for spring break! Everyone told us Iceberg was a must for our to do list! We came and it was by far the best food/experience! The owner was so nice and explained the menu so well, the staff was so thoughtful was well once the food was ready and they explained everything to us! Our family is so beyond happy with the service and experience we got from this locations Iceberg!!! It will forever be a new must stop and eat for all the trips to Utah to come! read more

This was by far the worst time I had visited Iceberg. Normally there is great service but this time, the two teenage girls working at the window spent at least 15 minutes just chit chatting with some friends at the window in front of me just to eventually give them a small chocolate ice cream cone. It doesn't take that long to make an ice cream cone!!! very unprofessional and very unaware of other customers. I hope that next time I go to Iceberg, those girls aren't working. read more

Should be an option to put 0 Stars* Long drive thru line, it was finally our turn to order and nobody responded for 5mins, instead of coming on the speaker and saying please hold at least they didn't. We were going to leave but someone ended up getting behind us before we tried to leave. It was our first time here and absolutely the last time coming here. I always wondered why the line would always be backed up when passing by and now I know, because they don't take the drive thru orders in a timely manner. I would say it's probably faster to go inside but after this drive thru experience I just won't be coming back to an iceberg location ever again. Horrible service indeed. The onion on the burger was a bit large, it was almost an inch thick and I think I would've preferred it cut up just a little more. The fries were pretty good but tasted a bit greasier than I would've liked. I did like that it came with a fry sauce. All in all, I really liked Burger Pioneers. He made some suggestions and we went ahead with our order. I got. the tri tip steak and my wife got gnochi. Oh another thing about how i like my food. I like the ingredients, steak, potatoes, vegetables, etc, seasoned and not the other way around. I find a lot of places over season their food. Not here. the steak, veggies, and mashed potatoes were lightly seasoned, just enough to enhance the flavor but not overwhelm the core ingredient. the steak was tender, the vegetables perfectly cooked and seasoned. I didn't even try and figure our what seasonings they used, I just enjoyed the meal. Short of this part of the meal, fantastic. With the gnochi, we had a little bit of an issue. There was a problem with how they were cooked, they were a little stiffer than they should be, but the sauce they were in was fantastic. BTW, they are not gluten free, so this is my wife's perspective. When they asked how our meal was we mentioned that to them. They looked at the gnochi and agreed. they then didn't just correct the issue, but went above and beyond. They asked if we wanted something else, made a suggestion since we couldn't decide and prepared that for us. They also did something else while we were there. They tried to make more batches of the gnocchi, not for us but so that they could see what went wrong. Then came back and told us what they had done and the results. The service was some of the best I have ever had. They had a good selection of gluten free options, depending on your sensitivity your options might change, but there are plenty of options and a few that are not on the menu. The owner suggested a burger on mashed potatoes, even though they have a gluten free bun. My gluten sensitvity is pretty high, so he was providing as many options for me as possible. All in all, I really liked the food, the service, and the attention to my food sensitivities.
