    Mini cookies and cream shake
    Layne D.

I was craving a sweet treat and saw that this place has rave reviews. That's all I needed to stop by! This is a casual spot where you order at the register and they call your name out when your order is ready. We ordered a mini mocha shake with Reese's and a mini cookies and cream shake. The girls working were really nice and patient since it was our first time. They whipped up our shakes in record time. Another bonus is the shake size, a mini was MASSIVE. I barely made a dent in mine. Price was super reasonable. As for the shake itself, it was just okay. Maybe the mocha flavoring wasn't the best choice? I would skip it and just try a classic flavor if I returned. We didn't try any food, so maybe that is where they shine too.

Recovering from surgery and not wanting to cook, I ordered Iceberg food for the family thru GrubHub on Friday Sept 27th. Two combo meals, two shakes, and one grilled cheese and one burger for a whopping $81.94. Lesson learned. But both orders of Onion Rings were burned and should never have left the food prep area. I called just to make the manager aware. I was greeted by a recorded message that their phones were busier than usual during this "Covid 19 outbreak" and could only leave a message. I asked for a call back which never came and offered to send pictures so I suppose posting my pictures here will send a more clear message.

Decent burger place with over the top shakes. We're big fans of Woody's, but they're closed on Sundays. This is a little pricier but still a very good alternative, especially on Sundays.

The service in general was ok. The line to order was huge and the cashier was fast and attentive. The servers were less attentive, maybe cause they were really busy. We ordered a large grasshopper shake with extra Oreos and a large Snickers shake. The snickers was super good with lots of chocolate pieces and crunchiness. In the other end, the grasshopper shake was lacking Oreos. It was almost closing time, the floors were extremely sticky and dirty. The soda machine area was a total mess. This location looks new and have plenty of parking since is inside a strip mall.

I've been meaning to try an Iceberg shake for a while now, and I finally stopped in and got one today. My shake was delicious, and huge! I ordered a "mini" shake, which came in an enormous cup that would probably be a medium or large at other shake places. I went for a caramel shake and it was very caramel-y. Definitely did not slack on the flavoring. The decor inside the restaurant is cute and cozy and has an old-timey diner feel. The employee who took my order was smiley and friendly and she brought out my shake within just a couple minutes. Pretty sure I'll be back to Iceberg next time I'm craving a shake.

    This is the mini!

I don't remember Iceberg's menu being this limited but since I just came for the ice cream it wasn't a huge deal. My daughter was happy with her corn dog and fries, my husband enjoyed his dipped twist cone and my mini shake was as amazing and enormous as I remembered! The doors need some work as they are loud and take forever to close which causes a big problem in the dining area on a cold and snowy day. It's worth the stop and pretty reasonably priced.

Wow - this treat was the PERFECT snack to enjoy by the pool. I ordered the almond mini shake, which was so creamy and delicious. The mini size is HUGE (20 oz). I would definitely order this again!

This is a new area we are trying to get up to speed on since this now affects our daughter. This is a great option for dessert if you have this type of concern. I've been so sad that they had closed years ago. Upon seeing that they had reopened we had to get in and try my old favorite Peppermint Chocolate Spray. I craved this for so long that I was afraid it wouldn't live up to my memories. Great news though. It is exactly how I remembered and we were told the recipe hasn't changed at all. We tried to stop here the night before, but the line was about 80 people long. We came back Saturday midday and quickly learned why. While the parking lot was still packed, there was no line once we got inside. And once I started sampling the ice cream, it felt like it was just me floating in the clouds. Across all three flavors, the first thing that stood out was the texture. The Golden Passion Fruit was bright, the Banana Nutella was rich, and the Caramel Cashew was rich. Every scoop was remarkably dense, silky, and creamy. The Golden Passion Fruit was dairy-free, which I'm not entirely sure how that technically qualifies as ice cream. While I have spooned plenty of diary free deserts into my mouth, I have never ordered a dairy free in a commercial creamery so this was going to be a first. But after that first sample, the thought of daily free never crossed my mind. It was dense, rich, smooth, and immensely flavorful. It tasted exactly like the passion fruit I've picked off the trees just minus the seeds. It was bright and was incredibly concentrated. It was outstanding. While this wasn't my order, the person who did order this made the mistake of letting my try their double scoop dish. It was tough to give it back. The Banana Nutella tasted exactly like it sounds. The base was thick, creamy, and custardy with the banana and hazelnut flavors clearly coming through. The Caramel Cashew was also a standout. The caramel brought a deep buttery sweetness while the cashews added a roasted, nutty richness that kept it from becoming overly sweet. In the same dish, those were like rival siblings: they could hang together when they have to, but would prefer the attention be focused solely on them. Scoop sizes were standard and appeared consistent across all the orders. The young crew seemed well trained on portion control and sample limits. They were strictly by the book with two samples maximum. Luckily, someone in my group only wanted one sample, so I was able to claim their unused allocation. I wasn't ready to stop tasting and understand their limits. This may be the highest concentration of cream and dairy richness I've ever experienced in a commercial creamery. The texture was exceptionally dense, silky, and indulgent. As the legend goes - King Arthur had a round table because all the knights were equal. But as we know in real life, some are more equal than others. The Passion Fruit and the Caramel Cashew were definitely more equal, but please don't think the BN was a slouch. All deserved to be on the podium. When you start in heaven, everything else is hell. I HATE ;-) Blacksmith Ice Cream for it may have permanently ruined my perspective on ice cream!

In this case, I think it is for the better, as you can have ice cream delivered straight to your door! A month or so back I placed an online order right around their same-day cut off time of 4pm. I was so impressed when a bagful of ice cream was dropped off at my door within less than an hour! We enjoyed the following: Rocky Road features a mild chocolate base and small bits of nuts, but I never found even ONE teeny marshmallow in the whole quart (I just looked up the description to make sure I wasn't mistaken and it definitely mentions those squishy white delights!). Fresh Peach Gelato boasts local peaches from Kuwahara. Tangy, but just-sweet enough. Not quite as creamy as others, but that is par for the course with most fruit based ice creams. Oreo has mostly fine Oreo pieces, but a lot. If you had asked me, I'd have guessed my preference would be larger chunks, but I'd be wrong. This is delightful! New York Wildberry Cheesecake gelato has a great, natural cheesecake flavor. The swirls of berry are rather sweet, but tempered by the tangy base. Chocolate Dipped Strawberry was a surprising household favorite with it's uber creamy pretty-pink base and stracciatella style dark chocolate. They offer a variety of flavors, with some seasonal. All gelatos were a bit harder than ice creams, which is no surprise given they have less cream/fat in them. I am sure if left at room temperature for five or ten minutes (as you are supposed to do for all frozen treats), they would be perfect consistency, but I never have the restraint to wait that long. We bought everything in pint ($5.50) or quart size ($7.50), but you know those long rectangular containers seen at gelateria's? YOU CAN BUY A WHOLE ONE FROM BON BON ($30)! Can you imagine how perfect that would be for a party? There is a $30 minimum, which is extraordinarily easy to meet, and a $5 delivery charge. Go support this wonderful local business crafting such delicious treats!
