Fun little place. Some outdoor seating that is covered & uncovered. Beer on tap too. There's a small stage I think for some live music. I believe they allow dogs too. Lots of long tables inside the establishment so it is very community oriented. Everyone should be friends. Lots of sugar skull and skeleton decorations. Service was efficient. Stopped by on a Friday night during the street fare. The Frostbite IPA was cold and tasty. The chile quesadilla with carnitas was plentiful and delicious. More than 5 stars. Stumbled across the Icebox when passing through town and couldn't pass it up from the outside. The bartender was helpful and very friendly and the whole vibe was great! Classic rock music! Was great for a long time and my family and I went often. Great beer and good food. Appears to be under new management and has really fallen off. We were there this week and had horrible service. Waitress just abandoned us after we got our food. We sat without drinks, napkins, etc and she never came back. Finally went or bar and paid. After paying I asked to speak to a manager and she said "I am the manager". If this is the new management there is no reason to go back. read more

Yummy beers and a fun vibe in the downtown area! They don't have quite as many tap options as the Icebox on Picacho but I still found exactly what I wanted to drink. The place is huge so felt a little empty despite there being about 8-10 people in the bar area when we were. Probably would be an awesome venue for an event or gathering. Haven't tried the food so can't speak to that, but the beers are solid. Also had very friendly and helpful service at the bar. We'll be back when we're in the downtown LC area! read more

After a visit to downtown today, we decided to order takeout from the Boneyard Cantina. We shared an order of rolled tacos (ground beef) and an order of carne asada tacos. An order of beans came with one of the taco orders. We also shared a piece of their key lime pie. Everything was very good. I think our favorite of the two entrees was the rolled tacos. Bone Yard for Brunch. If you are looking for a place for brunch in Las Cruces that isn't your run of the mill brunch, might I suggest The Bone Yard by Ice Box Brewery. Ice Box Brewery is an up and coming brewery in Las Cruces New Mexico. There are currently thee locations with a fourth on the way in Hatch New Mexico across from Sparky's. As a self appointed craft brew expert, I can honestly say that Ice Box Brewery makes the best beer in Las Cruces (until Mesilla Valley Brewing Company opens). As for brunch, there are several very good choices. Today I headed the breakfast quesadilla with bacon. In the past I have had the Smothered Breakfast Tots and Huevos Rancheros. All are solid choices. Bone Yard also does a Bloody Mary bar with garnishes like roasted peppers, roasted garlic cloves, bacon, olives and Jicama. Boneyard is also well known for their friendly crew. If you haven't tried Bone Yard yet, Sunday is as good a day as any. read more

I stopped in after a Saturday Farmers Market on Main Street and really enjoyed it. Service was slow, even at the bar, but the food made up for it. The Boneyard is an Ice Box brewing concept so you'll find Ice Box beer on tap here. Ice Box is a solid brewery in my opinion. As for the food, the only thing I love more than tacos is mix and match tacos! I enjoy being able to mix it up and try more than one kind instead of being forced to order 3 or 4 of the same. Went for brunch on Sunday. Worst brunch I've ever had. The Bloody Mary bar is a joke. I ordered pecan pancakes and you could count the pecans on the 3 pancakes. 2 of the pancakes were burnt. My side of bacon was beyond burnt. 1st time and last time going there. Nothing special. read more

On our way to Texas traveling from Arizona we decided to stay over in Las Cruses, NM. I use my trusty YELP app searching for what else... a local brewery. What pops up is Icebox Brewing. Further research shows they have a couple locations. These weary travelers need food with their beer and The Boneyard Cantina by Icebox Brewing was just the ticket! Well during these pandemic times traveling from state to state you never know what to expect. NM restaurants are only serving takeout or outdoor seating. Lucky for us the patio had available seating! We had the three tacos for nine bucks. Many options are available and very tasty too. My husband said the fish tacos are his favorite!! I paired my yummy tacos with an aged bourbon barrel stout. Oh my stars what a yummy brew! So much so I had to have a second one. We had a chance to see the inside of the unused brewery as we walked to the back patio. So sad this great gem that just opened early this year hasn't been used to it's full potential. I understand that a stage and trivia night are in the plans. Rather than throw in the towel, theses guys rolled up their shirt sleeves and negotiated with the city to use the city walkway as a patio! That's using your noggin! Came here with a couple of friends here and of course we ordered a few drinks since they have great beer here. I ended up giving my card since they said they needed a "card on hold" but won't charge anything til the end of we needed to split the bill. Long story short, I ended up paying cash and my friend paid with her card. Went home and looked at my bank account and saw they had charged my car $20 but I paid $50 in cash for my meal. That sounds sketch. If this is a serious mistake I definitely I understand but the anticipation of waiting to call on Monday sucks. Another reason why I rate it so low is because I ordered 3 different kinds of tacos, Al Pastor, Carne Asada, and fish tacos. The sauces were great but the meat and fish itself , not so great. Maybe I'm just being a taco snob since I'm from California where I think they have the best tacos. Other than that, if I were to come back, I'd just be for drinks. read more

Another amazing brewpub downtown. Now we are making progress! We had the Frostbite IPA and the Session IPA both fantastic. Bitter, cold, delicious! My raspberry/lime seltzer was so refreshing on a hot day. We got the churro dessert which was so good. The churros are light, not greasy and come with a not-so-sweet whipped cream and a tasty ganache. Order the churros! ( I hope they increase the portion though) too small but super delicious. I moved away from Las Cruces 12 years ago and love seeing all the new development downtown. The Boneyard was the first place we stumbled upon.
