I highly recommend Greg and ICEMAN HVAC. My AC had stopped working and was blowing warm air which made it hard to sleep. I contacted multiple AC companies Saturday morning for same day service because I wanted to compare rates. ICEMAN HVAC responded quickly and I was able to schedule an appointment for the same day. The service fee was $75 which was the lowest rate I found. Greg was the technician that came out to my place. He called me prior to let me know he was on his way and what his ETA was. He showed up on time which is was nice to see. Having dealt with other service companies in the past I was very appreciative of his timeliness. Greg let me know why my HVAC stopped working and provided me an option to repair or replace. After considering the age of the system (16+years) and having minimal Mickey Mouse maintenance from the previous owner and none by myself, I decided it was the best value to replace. He dealt with the permit office who requested not only the HVAC permit fee but wanted a structural permit which would require me to hire an engineer. After multiple visits, calls, and emails to the permit office, Greg was able to provide the office with pictures of the roof and details of the new system which would weigh less than the old to bypass this unnecessary permit. After the installation he came back for the permit inspector and HERS testing. Topping it off, Greg replaced my outdated contractor control with a Nest. Now I can control the AC and heater from my phone. read more

My house was built in 1952 located in the heart of San Fernando Valley. I have the original floor/wall gravity furnace located in the middle of my house. Lucky I have two crawl space entrances to get to the heater but still it's a major job. The plan is to remove the heater but at this time I just had a simple cap off done. Highly recommend Greg if you need help with HVAC. Our AC stopped working and it turned out we need compressor replacement. It's a 5 year unit and compressor is still under warranty. Since it is a different process to work with a supplier to get the replacement under warranty. Lots of HVAC Contracters didn't want to bother and asked me to pay $2000-3000 out of pocket without mentioning there is warranty option. I'm glad I found u yelp it took a while. I'm giving this company 5 stars I was referred to them by my neighbor. I have had more than 3 different local companies come out to fix my heater. Every time they "fix it" charge me an arm and a leg few days later it stops working again. It was so frustrating most companies don't care about fixing they just wanted to sell me a new unit. 1st company didn't even know what was wrong they said I just needed maintenance charged me and left it stopped working the next night. 2nd company didn't even want to fix anything they just wanted to replace 3rd company was a no show. I was venting to my neighbor I was upset. He recommended that I give iceman a call. I called and we scheduled a few days later. I got a text and a call letting me know they are on the way. We have a new 2 y/o Goodman that its heating recently turns off after running for 5 minutes, thought we needed to change filter. We selected another HVAC service C on Yelp with hundreds of reviews and pricier than others ($175 for diagnostic and replace the filter) equates to "reliable and skillful." The appointment was fine, the tech told us that there was another issue would be fixed for another extra ~ $200. Service C contacted and made appointment for next day. Promptly confirmed appoints multiple times on that day, then... no show. I contacted them, said they were behind schedule, no tech could come out that day .... Story short, We decided to go with Greg from Iceman. He is licensed, doesn't have many Yelp reviews yet but all are 5 stars. He promptly answered our call. He visited next day, spent 1.5h to re-diagnose, fixed the issue, and charged $65 because he said it was a simple job. We almost missed out on a very good HVAC service.
