They pipe the audio directly into the room, which makes it feel very personalized. I also loved that you can control the temperature yourself. I was a little nervous to start, so I went with 140 degrees, but about 40 to 50 minutes in, once I felt more comfortable, I was able to turn it up. Having that flexibility made the whole experience much better. The service is great and the staff is super responsive and helpful, especially if it is your first time. The facility is very clean and it is easy to get in and out. Parking would be my only note, so I would give yourself a little extra time for that. I would definitely go again and could see this becoming a more regular part of my wellness routine.

They provide you with a small eucalyptus towel to use at the end of your session, which is a nice touch. I would say I wish they had a larger eucalyptus towel to use for the entire body. They also have 3 parking spots, which is nice. You can book through the Mindbody app, which is a convenient option. I hope they open a location in BH or Weho. I will definitely be back!

Sweating it out is ideal to get the blood flow going to process the uric acid from crystalizing and settling in the joints, but hard to sweat if you are having trouble walking. Vivi, Danielle and all of Stephanie's girls make you feel so calm and at ease with the whole process. Doing the Normatec leg compression while waiting for the sauna is a great way to get the legs going. Once inside, they put on meditation music specific to your needs. I needed something strategic to plot my next move and they put on this 'abundance' meditation playlist that really got me in the zone. They have a list for all needs. I honestly can't wait to go back again. I feel like this might save my life in the least dramatic way possible. Very grateful for Stephanie's shop! Highly, highly recommend you give it a shot. The spa is private; the only people in the entire space are you + the amazing esthetician, Heather. The lobby space is beautiful, green, and inviting. They only use Organic to Green brand products which have very clean ingredients (a huge plus for sensitive skin)! Upon arrival, Heather explained the treatments and we started with body dry brushing + coco oil body treatment. Then, she gave me a scalp scrub + hair mask. This process was probably around 20-25 minutes. Then, I was given one hour total to enjoy the private lounge, infrared sauna (set to 133 degrees F) and steam shower. I spent 25 minutes in the sauna before taking a cold shower using their products, including a lovely body scrub. I also ate a few complementary snacks (mini KIND bars and fruit bars). After that, we concluded with their Signature Facial (~60 minutes) that included steam, aromatherapy, extractions, microdermabrasion, face mask, and much more. All throughout, Heather was very kind and answered all my skincare questions. Would absolutely recommend. I look forward to coming back! Not to mention, the price is really good if you buy the Groupon for the Bungalow Experience. For a total of $160 (Groupon was about $85 with the summer promotion, plus a $75 tip based on the full treatment price), I had 2.5 hours of pure relaxation. I started my day stressed out, and now I feel so much better. TLDR: amazing private spa experience using organic products at a reasonable price! Highly recommend!

I'm a Deluxe member at Burke Williams, and while I've visited the Woodland Hills location many…read moretimes over the years, this review is specifically about the Santa Monica location. I live on the Westside, so Santa Monica is my home spa and where I go at the end of every month. I usually spend four or five hours there, have a couple of services, relax in the quiet room, and give myself an afternoon to completely decompress. I genuinely love this spa. The facilities are beautiful, the atmosphere is relaxing, and the people who provide my services are consistently wonderful. That said, after coming here month after month, there are two things that drive me absolutely crazy. First: THE PHONES. There are signs throughout the locker room/spa area stating that cell phone use is not allowed, yet every single time I'm there, women are on their phones. This is a LOCKER ROOM. Women are changing, showering, getting dressed, and walking around completely naked. Nobody should have to wonder whether someone nearby has a phone with a camera pointed in their direction. Almost every visit, I end up going to the front desk and asking an employee to come back and remind grown adults to put their phones away. Burke Williams really needs to find a better way to enforce this policy because, at this point, the signs clearly aren't enough. This isn't simply about maintaining a peaceful spa environment it's about the privacy of every woman using that locker room. My second complaint isn't really about Burke Williams at all. It's about some of the guests: PLEASE TIP YOUR SERVICE PROVIDERS APPROPRIATELY. I am continually shocked by what I hear people leaving as tips. A $250 massage and a $15 or $20 tip? A $350 facial and a $20 tip? On my most recent visit, I watched someone check out after receiving more than $700 worth of services from two different providers and leave each of them a $20 tip. These massage therapists and estheticians are skilled professionals providing services at a high-end Southern California spa. They work hard and take wonderful care of their clients. If you can afford to spend hundreds of dollars on luxury spa services, please budget enough to appropriately tip the people providing them. I regularly see the same providers, appreciate them tremendously, and tip them accordingly usually $50-$60 per service. And yes, I am treated exceedingly well. There's a reason for that: I value the people who take care of me, and I make sure they know it. Despite these frustrations, I love Burke Williams Santa Monica. It remains one of my favorite places to relax and recharge, and I'll continue being a Deluxe member and coming every month. I just wish this location would get much more serious about enforcing its own no-phone policy. And to my fellow spa-goers: put your phone away, respect other women's privacy, and for goodness' sake, tip your service provider properly. Luxury services and bargain-basement tipping do not belong together

They have since remodeled and both the interior and exterior looked beautiful: clean, tastefully decorated and spacious. There is a new lounge area outdoors for women only. It looked European. I got the 50-minute relaxation massage and my therapist really listened to what I wanted her to work on, and she did a really good job. They have a promotion now where if you join, you basically get $50 off per treatment. If I didn't already have a membership with another spa closer to me, I most likely would have joined.

The Yoga Space: Minimalist, with warm wood tones, all sun-lit by a giant oval skylight overhead. The Class (Flow with Bailey Kai): This was a music-driven, cue-based flow that works for all levels. Bailey's teaching style is beginner-friendly for anyone who is looking to explore yoga in a beautiful setting with great music. She guides the movement first, then names the pose in English. It allows the body to learn easily, which is a great for new students. The class unfolded as one long, continuous flow that gradually built. Near the end, we were offered an optional peak pose of Birds of Paradise. As we down-regulated with grounded stretching, the playlist slipped into a moody, hypnotic feel of "Want It" by Mk.gee (gentle, inward, & beautifully timed: https://youtu.be/ZXVCmYWCOwI?si=U1tWC20pIELUMylK), followed by grounded stretching and savasana. I brought a friend (one of my favorite yoga teachers;-), and she appreciated some of Bailey's creative cueing. Always a good sign when a teacher enjoyed class. This Class Is Perfect For: - Beginners who want clear, movement-based guidance - Intermediate students who love a smooth, continuous flow that gradually builds, with add-ons and a peak pose - Anyone wanting music-driven movement without added heat in a beautiful space Final Take: OPEN with Bailey Kai delivers an accessible, long flow in a beautiful sun-lit space. Perfect when you want to generate your own heat and move in a steady, continuous rhythm. Practical Notes: Street parking nearby and a $5 lot across the street for OPEN clients. Mats and towels provided. Water station, bathroom, sauna, and cold plunge available.
