    Braised pork

Yami Buffet: Where Lunch Becomes a Full-Blown Flavor Affair You walk in expecting a basic buffet. You walk out wondering if you just had a culinary awakening. Yami Grill and Buffet 8870 Kingsridge Dr, Dayton, OH 45458 Let's break it down: Salad bar: Small but mighty. That ginger dressing? Creamy, punchy, and suspiciously addictive. I'd bottle it if I could. Fresh fruit: A sweet little intermission before the flavor chaos begins. Dim sum: Yes, actual dim sum on a lunch buffet. Shrimp dumplings so good I considered canceling plans just to eat more. Sticky chicken wrapped in mystery leaves? Texture and flavor so perfect I didn't ask questions--I just grabbed seconds. Ramen bar: Pig tongue, pig feet, pig ears--if you're feeling bold, this is your moment. Made-to-order bowls that deliver flavor and bragging rights. Hibachi station: Every meat, every veggie, sizzling like they're auditioning for a cooking show. Fresh, fast, and made just for you. Braised pork: Tender, juicy, and possibly enchanted. If I ever get a last meal request, this is it. No notes. Pepper steak: So tender it'll make you question every other version you've ever had. It's the steak equivalent of a mic drop. Tofu dishes: Don't skip them. Packed with flavor and clearly out to prove they're not just filler. These tofu cubes came to slay. Mystery fish dish: Spicy, savory, and giving major kimchi vibes. I don't know what it was, but I want it again. Sushi bar: Fresh selection plus made-to-order rolls. Recommendation: crispy spicy tuna roll. You're welcome. Atmosphere? Clean, spacious, and perfect for small groups, big families, or your entire bingo squad. Staff? Friendly, fast, and probably telepathic. Price? Lunch buffet $14.99. Military, first responders, seniors: $13.49. Parking? Easy. No circling like a vulture. Final verdict: Come hungry. Leave happy. And maybe a little emotionally attached to the braised pork. Dinner review coming soon--because yes, I'm already planning my return like it's a sequel.

We won't return to Yami Buffet. The sushi and sashimi are fine, but most other food seemed of questionable freshness, inauthentic, and low quality. The wall next to our table had tons of food smears and splatters. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned or painted since the Golden Corral closed. Several items were dried out and inedible. The Peking duck was both fatty and overcooked. At the end of the meal, my party of three were making bets on whether we'd get food poisoning. (Thankfully we didn't.) Just avoid this place!

Hot and delicious food. Great hospitality. Definitely will be back soon. Price is kinda on the high side however it's definitely worth it.

Absolutely excellent sushi from the selection to presentation and flavor. We went for lunch and had…read morejust sushi then had to return for dinner just to try some other items. Service was perfect, greeted right away, friendly and attentive throughout our visit. The sushi presentation was beautiful with a lot of attention to the details. Minimal rice, just enough to surround the filling and hold together, not too much to overpower the texture. All three rolls were different with unique flavors and textures. The ones with multiple fish selections on them were done perfectly balanced with enough of each to taste them all. We also got the crab rangoon which were the sweetest little pillows filled with a creamy crab flavored goodness. For our return dinner visit we again got sushi and crab rangoon but also got two entrees so we'd have leftovers the next day for traveling. The fried rice isn't quite what we expected but the shrimp and beef were cooked perfectly and the flavors were spot on. I highly recommend Ozu852, especially for sushi, and will definitely return when in the area.

We decided to come here for lunch on Saturday after a long morning of errands - my husband was…read moreoptimistic based on reviews glowing it was a "hidden gem". We love sushi - travel all the way to columbus just to have some from the unofficial "japantown" at kenny center Upon arrival at 2 pm, not super busy but the store appeared bright and well decorated. We were directed to pick our preferred seating. Menus were brough quickly, drink orders we taken and brought out quickly. Sprites, came with a cup of ice. This was were it went downhill. My husband is allergic to shellfish, and we eat out understanding there is a chance of cross contamination based on what we order. He had a mild reaction - we determined his reaction was from the glass with ice, which indicates it was not washed well. Not a good sign... We ordered house lo mein, king salmon nigiri, tuna nigiri, tuna roll, and one chicken and vegetable hibachi. Sushi? The rice was long grain and unseasoned... it fell apart as my husband picked it up. The fish was.. ok.. not wowed. Even the king salmon was...just salmon and not anything amazing. My tuna roll never made it. My husband said this was the first time he had bitter ginger... he spat that back out - ginger is suppose to be a palate cleanser... Lo mein? Was ok. It was not greasy, which is what I usually encounter. Noodles were soft, but ok. Flavor.. lacking.. and there was a notcieable amount of sauce at the bottom.. so it was too runny. The hiabachi? The fried rice, saddest fries rice ever. It was hard middle and .. flavor was offputting.. this is coming from a girl that was raised to eat rice everyday in many forms. I love durian, and this rice manage to offput me.... the flavor was just weird. The hibachi chicken and veggies were the best part..sauce flavor was great and the veggies were cooked very well and chicken was juicy. So overall... would not recommend due to cleanliness (based on contact contamination from a cup) and... food was just meh
