A Pork filled egg roll incorrectly labeled as "Vegetable Spring Roll"

On a recent evening after a hard day at work, I selected a buffet item that was labeled as a spring vegetable roll. After taking a bite, I immediately realized it contained pork, which was not disclosed anywhere. I am of the Jewish based faith background, and eating pork violates my religious dietary restrictions, so this was not a minor mistake for me. I notified staff and management right away. Instead of taking accountability, the label identifying the item was removed from the buffet, and management refused to offer a reasonable resolution. Being told to accept this without a meaningful apology or genuine effort to resolve for religious reasons felt dismissive and inappropriate. With a buffet, customers rely entirely on signage to make informed choices. When food is mislabeled, especially when it involves pork, it creates serious trust issues for anyone with dietary restrictions, whether religious or medical. Additionally, much of the buffet food appeared lukewarm rather than hot, with some items having a slimy texture and very little flavor. While I can only speak to my personal experience, the food often seemed like it had been sitting out for a while rather than freshly prepared. The way this was handled left a very bad impression. I would urge anyone with dietary restrictions to be extremely cautious here, as accurate labeling does not seem to be taken seriously.

I usually don't write reviews, but this place deserves one. Ichiban Buffet was a complete disappointment from start to finish. The food looked like it had been sitting out all day -- dry, cold, and tasteless. The sushi was rubbery, the seafood had a weird smell, and even the rice was hard. Nothing felt fresh. The service wasn't any better. Staff walked right past empty plates without clearing them, and when we asked for help, we got an attitude. Drinks took forever to refill, and when they finally came, the soda was flat. On top of that, the place just felt dirty. Tables were sticky, the floors looked like they hadn't been mopped, and the bathroom was awful. For the price they charge, you'd expect at least edible food and basic cleanliness -- but you don't get either here. Save your money and go literally anywhere else. Ichiban Buffet is one and done for me.

Ok so this place is awesome considering the price for a buffet !!!! It was about $16 a person. The food options were plenty !!!!!! And even the dessert side had great options the coffee ice cream so delicious!!! The service was great she cleaned our table fast and was on top of drink refills. The parking is a little hard when it's packed there is a lot going on in that plaza . The best part is the hibachi part you pick what you want from the bar and bring it to the grill for them to cook right there so like I said for 16$ a person what a great deal. The food was good too!!!! No complaints and definitely try the custard bun it's delicious

    Delicious!

I love sushi! The many options I found here were very satisfying. Service is great and all looks very clean.

Not my favorite sushi buffet for dinner. Better off going for lunch. Fresh fish, food good. Parking during season is a nightmare.

Run of the mill cheap Chinese food buffet. Their sushi selection is incredibly limited and very suspect. Take your business somewhere else.

This was the worst place ever! Not worth the $40. Food was old, horrible service and there was no AC. I will never return.

VERY GOOD ALL YOU CAN EAT SUSHI!…read more Walked in to TemakHouse on a whim because my boyfriend and I were looking to have sushi for dinner. His conditions were: 1) All you can eat 2) Nearby My conditions were: 1) Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice was on the all you can eat menu 2) Good reviews on Yelp I happened to really like everything we ordered, and everything they served us. . . It was funny that every time we ordered our rolls, even though they were the same roll, they came different every time. For example: we ordered the 'Fancy Roll' twice, and one time it came without cucumbers, and the other time it did. (It's supposed to come with cucumbers.) (I maybe thinking of another roll from the menu but this is an example that happened.) Another thing to note is that this is a Brazilian x Japanese establishment, which my boyfriend and I didn't know. Basically everyone was only speaking Portuguese, even the hostess greeted us and farewelled us in Portuguese. I'm giving TemakHouse 4-stars because they had wonderful service, great food, lots of options, everything was pretty to look at, and clean, my only criticism is the prices, and the inconsistentcy in the sushi rolls.

I came in for a delivery pickup, gave the name on the order clearly, showed it on my phone, and was still asked to repeat myself multiple times despite the information being right in front of the host. That alone felt dismissive but I stayed patient. What really caught me off guard was when I went to take the bag, the host grabbed it and held on with what I can only describe as a grip I've never experienced in any restaurant interaction. I've done hundreds of pickups and I have never had someone physically resist handing over a confirmed order like I was attempting something wrong. I wasn't rude, I wasn't aggressive, I simply came to do my job. The lack of basic respect shown toward delivery drivers here is genuinely shocking. These are the people keeping your third party revenue alive. I raised my concern with management and received a dismissive response with no real accountability taken. The reviews here suggest the food may be worth trying but if this is how the staff treats people who are there to support the business I can't in good conscience recommend it. Incredibly disappointing.

I have lost a lot of weight and was very selective with how much I took until I ran across the boneless spare ribs. These are usually not available at other Chinese buffets during lunch time. I was surprised to see them. They were delicious. Our waitress kept our water glasses full and took out empty plates immediately. The service was outstanding. My friend enjoys lo mien. She said that Hibachi Buffet was her favorite. I saw pieces of cooked salmon and decided to try a piece. I am not a lover of cooked fish and was going outside my comfort zone. It was edible but I still am not a lover of cooked fish. Too bland for me. Their hot and sour soup was tasty. I returned to savor more boneless pork spare ribs. There were plenty of dishes to select from. I will be returning soon.

Appreciated my 20% tip, even though its serve-yourself. Thought I'd be generous. People are trying to make a living. The food was less than perfect; hence my two-star rating. The sour soup was great. The white fish was good-it was warm. The rest of the food in the buffet was mildly warm to cold (mostly cold), some-what bland, and basically unsatisfying. Piece of breaded chicken was like a shard of leather. That stayed on my plate, ugh. Although the food 'looks' appetizing, I left, well, unsatisfied and disappointed. The bill was $32 for two, without the tip. Although Panda Express is more of a fast-food thing, but the same idea as this restaurant, PE would have been much more satisfying and cheaper. BTW - the ice cream was not flavorful like you would expect ice cream to be in a restaurant. It was okay, but nothing to write home about.

The owners Paulo, Fernando and Stephanie, are ALWAYS on the floor guaranteeing the perfect flow, and the happiness of the customers. To those people that are complaining about the salad bar, that has 30 different options or more, keep in mind that if you want salad the restaurant for you is called Just Salad and its much cheaper too. This place is all about the darn meat and the service. The churrasco masters come to your table NON-STOP. Have you ever been to those chains like Fogo ou Texas, where they come by your table once every 15 mins. WELL THAT IS NOT HOW THEY RUN THIS SHOW, you can barely finish eating the piece you got and there is 2 churrasco masters coming your way, its non stop rodízio. Lastly and the most important the quality of the meat. All other restaurants serve shitty cuts for lunch and prime cuts at night! THIS PLACE DOESNT EVEN CARRY SHITTY CUTS! They serve the prime cut all day, everyday! That should be the business you are aiming to spend your hard earned dollar at. Don't be fooled by the chains or other smaller brazilian steakhouses, here in south florida, no one provide the quality and the service that Pampa Gaucho does.

I made a reservation, and I'm guessing on weekend nights, this is the way to go. From the outside, Pampa Gaucho Churrascaria doesn't look like much, but inside it is quite lovely. Tables have white linens and candles. There is a large, inviting salad bar in the middle of the room with many choices of greens, toppings as well as cheeses, shrimp, eggplant, crab salad and more. There are also some hot bar items: black beans, rice, polenta, large grilled shrimp, mashed potatoes, and plantains. There's an option to just have the salad bar. I opted for this. They included salmon and grilled pineapple for me. There was plenty of food and it was all well made. So if you're a vegetarian or pesco-veg, you'll still be well taken care of while your carnivorous table-mates go to town. And that they did. There was filet mignon, flank steaks, sausage, short ribs, chicken, Parmesan encrusted pork, and probably way more. The dining room bursts with activity as servers visit the tables with this wide assortment of mostly rotisserie meats. Desserts are not included, and there are many options on the menu. While I tried to convince the others for the flan, we went with the tres leches. It was fabulous! So try and save a little space for dessert if you can. If you're a meat lover or looking for a fun celebratory meal, this place is for you! The servers were very nice and helpful. We very much enjoyed our evening here.

Lunch for the carved meats buffet which included ribeye, skirt, top sirloin, chicken rolled in bacon, sausage, and my favorite, an extremely juicy leg of lamb. Our server was excellent at carving the meat and made the experience extremely enjoyable. The cloth napkins and glass stemware gave the restaurant a touch of elegance. The only disappointment was I had a Restaurant.com certificate for the Red Crab Seafood & Grill located at 3887 W. Hillsboro Blvd that they said was not good. I had purchased it in September 2024!!! When I went on the Restaurant.com website after I had left the restaurant, the certificate was still there. The certificate was good and should have been honored. Also like my first visit, this place found a way to shoot itself in the foot. "Gisela" warmly greeted me. She sat me in the same first booth as last year. No sign of my waitress Jennifer from last year. The first thing I noticed different was a nice salad bar. Gisela asked if I ever had been there previously. I replied "yes." She then said I must know how they do things there. As it turned out, I did not. Later, she informed me that they now are under new management from my first time there. They no longer have a traditional menu. Unfortunately, I had read neither their website nor the recent reviews since last year to know of the changes and stupidity. So now it's a Brazilian steakhouse. Since I never had experienced a Brazilian steakhouse style of service, I had difficulty understanding Gisela trying to explain to me how it worked. I requested more time to analyze the menu. I also should add that the ambiance is pleasant but a little dark as is the menu in certain places, making it difficult for me to read. I think I had left my reading glasses in the car. So Gisela waited on a couple seated behind me which had arrived after me. They ordered the Brazilian meat all-you-can-eat and helped themselves to the salad bar. I saw no "salad bar only" option on the menu. Gisela said I could order only salad bar. However, I had a feeling I would be charged the same as the combo with the meat service. I decided just to go along with the program by ordering the same thing as the couple behind me for $24.99. She brought me a glass of water. I have zero complaints about the food. The salad bar included meatballs and noodles and enough variety to order just salad bar if they encouraged it. I wouldn't see Gisela much more until time to pay. Within minutes of returning from the salad bar, a guy emerged from the kitchen with his first of many skewers. I accepted a piece of chicken with bacon as did the couple behind me. So my best analogy is a Chinese dim sum place. They come around every couple minutes to offer you another item. You pay à la carte for dim sum as the waitress checks off any item you accept. However, Toreros is all you can eat for one price, not à la carte. The man speedily emerged every two minutes with another type of meat. It was fast service considering I was one of only three customers. I felt like I was eating fast to race him so I could have room on my plate before his next return! I prefer to take my time and not be rushed. I didn't think to ask for an extra plate. By the time he emerged at the end with a rack of lamb, I felt I should pass as I was getting full. I returned to the salad bar for some tasty asparagus, watermelon, and other stuff. Some reviews allege their food was not fresh. My food tasted fresh. I did wonder whether the meats had been prepared a while ago since the guy began serving me quickly after my first trip to the salad bar. They must cook it ahead of time on the assumption that they will have customers eventually. The guy put the traffic light sort of thing on the table. He tried to explain what each light means regarding service requests. I missed the part about which light meant "check please." So I found Gisela bored at her podium. She asked me cash or card? I had cash on me. I did not know the price would be cheaper paying by cash. I replied, "card." She brought me her portable machine. The usual screen popped up with the tip percentages. I was a little puzzled when she said that was the screen to tip if I wanted. Like, why wouldn't I tip? I assumed she just was being humble and courteous. So I tipped 18%. She hadn't done much but the place had few customers, she seemed nice enough to, so give her some money. The total popped up at $40 plus change. Initially, I declined her offer of the receipt. I returned to my car. I sat in my car in the parking lot. I tried to calculate in my head how the hell my tab came to $40 for a $24.99 buffet, maybe a $4 tip, and $2 tax? Reluctantly, I walked back in and asked for a receipt. Gisela retrieved her machine and printed it out for me. I returned to the parking lot. Only then did I read and learn what many reviews have mentioned. They charged an extra $1.18 for paying by card. They added a whopping $5.03 service charge of 18% for my party of one! All that without really telling me before I thought I was being generous by tipping the girl who brought me a glass of water $5.38.
