First let me say- we are the folks who wont send back a messed up order at a place bc we hate to waste food. Sent husband today to get sushi bc we're in the middle of moving house. He went to ichiban bc he wanted "better than gas station sushi". Second time giving this place a chance- BIG mistake! First time food was mediocre: soggy tempura and so-so sushi, but chicken tempura was passable. THIS time- omg, can I give a negative star? Chicken tempura was tasteless chicken chunks on a bed of brown gravy with ONIONS!!! Rice had a strange aftertaste and sushi was less than stellar. We had it takeout or we would have sent it back to the kitchen and demanded a refund! BROWN GRAVY with LOADS of ONIONS!!! We barely ate any of the food, it was so bad! Never again. read more

I have only eaten here once - but from what I remember, I liked it. Traveling to Ft Leavenworth quarterly, you find yourself often driving to KCMO for dinner. There just is not a lot going on (dinner wise) in Lansing-Leavenworth. Fortunately, I found this little sushi spot. It is a pretty common "westernized" sushi place. But that's ok, because I'm a western fella. The service was fine; no issues there and nothing to report (negative or positive). The ambiance was decent. Again, a very typical westernized weapon of a Japanese sushi place with very heavy Korean influences, and I think I even saw some Thai options? The menu looks like the establishment-just everything Asian lol. But again, I don't mind. As long as it's all clean and sanitized and it was. I enjoyed the food. I always like a good old Philly Role, Spicy Tuna and all that. Add cheese wonton on the side? I'm sold. For a landlocked location like Lansing Kansas, I felt like the sashimi was as surprisingly fresh. I mean, it wasn't sitting on the rocks in Osaka kinda fresh... but it was surprisingly fresh and good for being in Kansas. Good for them! That's a whole star right there! Was In town for training and decided to stop by here with the people I was training with. They start with salad and soup. Both were on par with the good hibachi restaurants back home. Hibachi chicken tastes like they boiled the chicken and then took watered down sauce and put it in the box. Veggies with this tasted raw and flavorless. Fried rice is a flavor combination of pepper, soy sauce, and MORE pepper. My soup tasted like a 4:1 ratio of water to soy sauce with slivers of mushroom. Did a take out order. Their online process is fantastic and user friendly. Ordered Hibachi Filet Mignon with some Gyoza. Every piece has gristle and fatty ends. A fillet should be clean cut with minimal fat. This tells me one of two things: either the meat quality is bad or they used our to go order to offload the meat they didn't want to use at the hibachi table. I would not order take out from here again. Salad and soup was adequate and the fried rice was also lacking from when I did dine in option. In their defense when we called and complained they did remake it. I will edit this post depending on their remake. 2stars EDIT: They remade the filet portion and it was much better. the first was clearly not their fillet upgrading to three stars.
