ZERO STARS. Old stale food. This is NOT Chinese food. It's put together quickly and taste horrible. Terrible customer service. Dead atmosphere. I was served old food I can tell by the taste. I simply asked for an exchange over the phone and got hung up on. I will NEVER GO BACK. Trash!

Sometimes I just drive around and find a Chinese place I haven't tried before. Last night, I did the same. I saw the sign for Nice Food a bit late and had to double back. It was late and I wasn't sure if they were open, but the sign said they were open until 10 on Friday. I stepped in and finally saw someone in the back. They aren't very talkative...which is fine with me. They were quiet in a friendly way. I ordered Triple Delight combo (comes with fried rice and egg roll) and I added an order of 6 Crab Rangoon. Since I was the only person there, it only took a few minutes for my food to be ready. It came to just over $11, which isn't too bad. I headed home to see how the story would end. First, let me just say THANK YOU for actually giving me sauce for the Crab Rangoon...so many times you don't get this. I got a huge soup bowl of sauce without asking. The Crab Rangoon was good and actually had crab in them. The wontons were a little tough. They were very close to awesome...which is still pretty good. Moving on, the Triple Delight was really great too. I loved how the vegetables were super chunky. You don't just get the soggy gross broccoli tops, but you get long spears of broccoli. I like the stems best, so this was great. The shrimp were really plump and tasty and you get big chunks of the other meats too. I'm not a huge Egg Roll fan, but this one was really good. It was a little big, which made it kind of hard to eat. The fried rice was impressive. So many places call rice with soy sauce in it fried rice anymore. This had BIG chunks of pork in it. They had some great prices on the sandwich board outside... like $3.50 for chicken lo mien, but next time I think I'll try combo fried rice. You know it's pretty good when you are already planning what you'll order next time. Just a note... they do take credit cards, but charge a small fee to cover their transaction fee.

Good food, good prices, lots of food for your money! We ordered sweet and sour shrimp, orange chicken, Kung pro chicken and chicken lo mein combination platters. Came with pork fried rice and a huge eggroll for $7.20. First time here but we will be back! Menu updated August 8,2018.

Beef with broccoli. This is the pint and it's more than enough.

Food was absolutely terrible, wet and no flavor, very little meat. Staff was very nice, save your money, don't come.

Best bean curd family style in the entire world. I promise. So good. I would sell crack to get some bean curd from this place.

It's a fairly small unassuming place with 50 years of history. The chef Annie received her own day of celebration from the Wyandotte county mayor. They do a hefty amount of carryout business - and unless you had Paul Bunyans appetite you'll be carrying out leftovers for a day or maybe a few days. Portion sizes are HUGE! Prices are reasonable and the selection is immense. I went with the beef and shrimp lomein and had to get a shrimp and chicken hand made egg roll. I also got a bacon jalepeno Rangoon as well as a chili fire one. - they have 6 different kinds of Rangoon. Lomein - meat was tender, veg still has some crunch. Flavor was great! As were the egg rolls and Rangoon. Anyway. If you're in the area or even to just try something different or get take out for date night. Hit them up. * if you're looking for fancy - this isn't it. Food tastes homemade, as it should, but the most amazing thing is how wonderfully you are treated and celebrated. We went for a work lunch and left as family members. #1 item definitely the wontons, any flavor, but take some of the dessert ones. You will not regret it.

Tucked away in a small corner of Lenexa, Monkey King Chinese BBQ & Noodle Restaurant feels like one…read moreof the most authentic Chinese spots in the Kansas City metro area. Their menu consists of a lot of dishes, and some are quite unique .. you don't usually see items like bird's nest dishes at most Chinese restaurants around here except for maybe Bolings. Me and my husband visited on a Saturday night around 8 pm and really devoured our meal. The menu can feel a bit overwhelming at first, but you honestly can't go wrong with stir fries at any Chinese restaurant. For appetizers, we ordered chicken egg rolls, which were hefty and filling. For the main course, I ordered the chicken in black bean stir fry, and my husband got the shrimp Kung Pao chicken stir fry. We paired both with steamed rice. The black bean chicken was rich and earthy, with that deep, slightly funky flavor from the fermented black beans. It was very umami, salty and complimented nicely with the fresh, crisp vegetables and well-cooked chicken. I really liked it. The shrimp Kung Pao was spicy and tangy, with perfectly cooked shrimp (the fried shrimp covering was chefs kiss) and crispy veggies. Overall, we really enjoyed the food. The egg rolls were about $4 for two pieces, and the stir fries were around $17+ each. The portions are quite large compared to other places in the area, so the pricing seemed reasonable. For 2 main course dishes your bill could easily reach up to $40. Otherwise, The restaurant was clean, the staff was kind, and service was quick. It also wasn't too crowded when we visited. I would rate the service 4/5, mainly because we had to ask for silverware, condiments, and tissues separately. The food, though, is definitely a 5/5. Highly recommended! I will definitely return to have more dishes like beef chow fun, the soups and last, but not least BIRDS NEST!!
