My son and I went there this weekend, we just moved to Mineral Wells. I was a little leary because I never see a lot of cars but when I went on Google it had great reviews. So, we went around 230/3 in the afternoon on Saturday. The person working was friendly enough. I am not sure if that time of the day is considered dinner menu or lunch menu, but we were charged dinner menu prices which is fine enough except we received day old rice that was reheated and stale. The vegetables were good and the meat was tender. The salad dressing tasted like straight up mayonnaise. I want to go back and give them another try before I just drive to Weatherford in the future because I really hate that I got old stale fried rice. If I hadn't had that I think the meal would have been worth dinner menu prices. read more

The wife and I were hanging around the downtown shops and stopped in for lunch. We had an appetizer, calamari, and it was ok. Not much flavor and chewy. However, the sushi made up for it. I had the Spicy Girl and it was very good, very flavorful. The wife had chicken and rice and she said it was really good. If you want good sushi in Mineral Wells give it a shot. read more

We are new to town and was interested in trying this Asian place. It was ok. But just ok. We got the Bento Box- kinda of expensive for the amount serves but it gave us a good sampling of what they offered. Their California rolls were good. Their tempura was good but they left the stickers on the veggies- which means they didn't wash the veggies before battering and frying. The protein was tough and a bit salty The building is nice and the ambiance is clean and quaint. It sure if we would go back but I'm this little it is the only Asian style food around. So I wanted to eat at an Asian restaurant for my birthday while we were on the road from Plano and we looked on Yelp for an Asian restaurant that's just on the main road. We found this and I was so happy. I ordered Crunchy sushi roll- deliciousssss. Then I ordered Pineapple Fried Rice with combo meat-- it was savory and just really tasty and large portion too, I had to ask for to go box. We also ordered Korean bbq chicken, hubs said it was really good too. And I won't forget the DEEP FRIED CHEESECAKE, for my birthday dessertttt. I love itttt, so yummyyyyyyyy. The food was mediocre at best. The calamari was over cooked, my husband's beer was warm, the water glass was chipped. The food WAY overpriced. I had a cup of soup and a side salad. Delicious! This was my first time here, having arrived at nearly 2pm on a Wednesday I did not expect quite so many people! I was immediately greeted and seated. It was a few minutes before I was able to place my order; however the server was working her tail off with all the tables the entire time. We discussed my preference (rice noodles and SPICY), and shortly after my sides were delivered. My meal was quick behind. The spice level was perfection, food was hot and plentiful. Arrived around 6:30pm on a Friday evening and the parking lot was EMPTY! Thought maybe that wasn't a good sign, but based on the Yelp reviews, we were willing to try it, and was glad that we did. I wouldn't call this "fresh caught" sushi, but it was very good. I tried the "Cowboy" sushi roll plate and a side of spicy tuna rolls, all presented very nicely, as most decent sushi restaurants will do. The portion was bigger than average, and I struggled to eat it all. My friends ordered the "Super Crunchy" rolls, which I sampled and really enjoyed. If you're not into "raw fish" sushi, try the Super Crunchy plate. With shrimp, crab, cream cheese & masago (tiny smelt roe), it's pretty darn good. Service was fairly quick (about 15 minutes from the time we ordered to the time we got our food), and the server was friendly. All in all, a very pleasant experience. We will be returning. By the way - if you like crab rangoon, order it as an appetizer. It was the freshest I've ever had and was a hit at our table. read more

Friendly staff. Sushi is just ok, about on par with what I'd get at H.E.B or Albertson's. I've tried all noodle dishes and they are very greasy, sweet, salty. The curry I'd defent enough, but I always worry about it because I get a "look" when ordering it, as if it's an item never ordered....so... is it frozen? Pre-packaged? The miso type soup is a little off. The restroom was an off putting smell (and I've been here more than once, so it's an issue). The teriyaki type beef was mediocre. Perhaps I'm spoiled, having had authentic Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese foods, but this place is just mediocre despite the locals raves about it. Even my children don't like the place. I give a 3 because again, the employees are nice and hard working, and the food wasn't bad, just mediocre and after a few tries, I've not returned because I'd rather just go without "asian" food in town. read more

I was just in Mineral Wells and saw this place and had to stop in. Everything we had was top notch and so delicious. For appetizer we had the butterfly kiss sushi roll, the best sushi ive had to date. For entree I had the seafood soba noodle and wife had chicken pad thai. The entrees came with a cup of onion soup, nice flavor all aroud. The desserts we had, fried ice cream and fried cheesecake, very good combo. The atmosphere was nice, trendy and new. The waitress was very friendly and professional. Service was rather fast. The total cost was 48.00 with water to drink. We will be going back, it is our new favorite. I love this place! You would never think the little town of mineral wells would have some of the best sushi, but it does. Having eaten at Ichiban several times and having had great food and service, tonight has convinced me to no longer take my patronage there. The waitress was rude, inattentive and unprofessional. The Yakisobas we ordered were greasy, and not prepared well. My young son had to be sick in the bathroom from the seafood Yakisoba. The Yakitori that was ordered for our group of five was rubbery, and the Korean BBQ was dry and unappetizing. Upon receiving our green tea ice cream, it came covered with some creamy topping and a cherry. If I had wanted a sundae, I would have gone to Braum's 1/4 mile down the road. This place is absolutely incredible. I have had sushi all over the world, and I am completely baffled that I can get sushi this good in Mineral Wells. So delicious. Order the downtown roll (personal favorite), and the stuffed jalapenos for a new take on Japanese cuisine. Their Chinese food is equally delicious.
