Folks you are absolutely missing out if you have not been to Punjabi Dhabba Indian Restaurant (across from QT). It is under new Mom & Pop ownership. Forget the rumor mill of the former owners. This couple is an honest hardworking couple. If you haven't eaten Indian cuisine come and try the Chicken Biriyani and the Tandoori Chicken. My wife's favorite is the Chicken Saag. Basically a creamed spinach (but more) and chicken. Don't miss out. It's the best I've had this side of Dallas. (Sorry but I forgot to get pictures of the food but look at our plates. Empty!!

We've been curious about this restaurant for a while. Even drove by once. We're not at impressed by the location, right next to a sketchy looking hotel. But a friend did go, and said surprisingly good, so Thúy and I decided to give it a go. Well, in a nutshell, very tasty, with good service. Portions were on the generous side, and we had plenty to take home. No more driving to Irving when craving Indian.

DO NOT LET THE LOCATION DETER YOU! I'm gonna be honest... at first I said absolutely not, but my man convinced me we should give it a shot based on the other good reviews. Is the location a little sketch? Sure. Which is why it gets 4 stars instead of 5, BUT the food was amazing! I've had Indian food at many other locations and this was top notch. My boyfriend had never had Indian food before and he loved it! He had the Tendoori Chicken (medium spice). Great flavor and incredibly tender! I had the Chicken Tikka Masala (medium spice). Flavorful and hearty. Smooth and creamy. The chicken was tender. Both dishes were served with white rice. We also ordered butter naan and garlic naan. The naan bread was so soft and delicious. The staff were welcoming and they were very attentive to our needs. Great service! We will most certainly return!

Ordered takeout here! A bit pricy but the portion is a good amount and was pretty good. The gps location did not lead me to the correct one, but it's right across the QT gas station right near a rundown motel. Worth trying. I got the saag paneer and tikka masala with a side of rice and garlic naan. All very good! It stayed very warm in the packaging and they packed it tight. Didn't taste the spice too much so don't be afraid to go a bit higher on the level when ordering if you want spicy.

First time visiting Punjabi Dhabba with the roommate. The place looked nice and new. We were the only ones there when we arrived. The guy was friendly but little bit pushy for a goggle review. I ordered butter naan and chicken tikka masala (spicy). I like my butter naan and my chicken tikka masala was spicy. It was not the best I had but it was good. My roommate ordered garlic bullet naan and Punjabi style goat curry. Now we don't want to offend anyone but my roommate described his goat curry as goat lasagna and garlic bullet naan as garlic bread. He described the food as Indian/Italian food. It was little bit too far a drive from Fort Worth to be worth it.

Found the hidden gem on my way to Dallas the other day... so I decided I would stop when I was heading back through going home. I'm always looking for good Indian food and believe me...I found it. The service was great and the food was so amazing and fresh. I got the chicken korma and garlic naan. I honestly can't wait until I have to go to Dallas again so I can eat here again!

Samosas, chicken tika, garlic naan. And all first rate.

Oh yay. Indian food in Weatherford?!? Yes please. Oh my its legit good food. Ive been to some of these highway Indian food places but there was a place setting it was really good and left that "there is a warm puppy in my tummy" feeling. They had awesome Indian music videos on the tube. Eat It.

You must try this place. Do not let the outside/location deter you. We started off with the samosa chaat the flavor was phenomenal. We also had the garlic naan ,muttar paneer, and tandoori chicken. We enjoyed everything we had in the service was great. We will definitely be back.

So nice to find authentic Indian food without going deep into the metroplex! The food was delicious. It is a newer restaurant so business is still slow for them. The customer service was good, just know that they don't speak English very well so be patient. They are pleasant and eager to please!

The food itself was just OK. I wanted a little bit more from the biryani, and the rice was a little bit mushy. On the upside, the chicken was seasoned very nicely and cooked very nicely. The space is very large and welcoming. It is a lot of food, we got one biryani for two people and still have left over for another meal. Medium spice is relatively good/accurate.

My wife and I had dinner in Santo at Sanjha Indian Cuisine restaurant Hwy 281 & IH20). The only…read morething I can say is that it gets better every time we eat there. Not to mention it is operated by the most wonderful Indian family. Tonight we feasted on Butter Chicken (spicy), Vegetable Biryani (med spicy), and Chicken Palak (medium spicy). The Butter Chicken is chicken cooked in a clay oven and cooked in butter, Indian yogurt, spices, and tomato sauce. Great over basmati or jasmine rice. I ate mine with the Vegetable Biryani. I typically eat chicken or goat biryani but am so glad I went this route. Huge flavor profile with the veggies. My wife's favorite is always Chicken Palak or Saag Paneer. Basically a creamed spinach with chicken or cheese. But that's a wholly inadequate description of a beautiful dish. Vegetable Biryani is Basmati rice cooked with vegetables and spices. These are typically good dishes to try if you're not used to Indian cuisine. We step up our spices a bit. This seems like an expensive meal until you realize we make at least two more meals out of this deliciousness!! We ended our meal with Gulab Jamun (2 pcs) and Kheer. Gulab Jamun is roughly akin to a donut hole sprinkled with a coarse sugar and topped with a simple syrup. Kheer is cooked rice in milk with sugar. Again, another wholly inadequate description. Folks. You are not doing yourself right if you don't give this beautiful, well kept restaurant a chance. It's only one building north of IH20.
