    Yellowtail jalapeño appetizer

So normally this place is spot on and my go to. I was sad to see that my favorite appetizer was half the size of normal. I even double checked the photo to make sure I ordered the right thing

One of two sushi joints in town, finally had an opportunity to visit. Plenty of parking lot, walk in and the hostess will ask you if you want a table or hibachi - I asked for a table. Reviewed the menu and with the following items: - one order of Spicy Tuna - Sushi & Sashimi Combo- comes with 5 ps of sushi ,10 ps of sashimi and spicy crab roll, soup and salad is included. The sashimi was a lot better than what I had expected, given that we are in middle of nowhere in Missouri. Love the way they presented the fish on top of ice and in a bowl. Spicy tuna - was not a fan. They added the crunch pieces, which to be, it's only used so you use less tuna fillings. This was the same with the spicy carb roll. I didn't really get to taste the tuna or the carb in the rolls, the crunch over powered the rolls. Miso soup needed more flavor. Its was very bland, they can add more miso to give it a better seasoning. Salad - standard salad, nothing to write home about The service was great, the waitress checked-in often. They need to clean their soy sauce bottles, the bottle neck area was very sticky. Overall, decent sushi in middle of nowhere.

Wow! Party of 7 showing up with no reservation seating in mins. Our waiter, James, was fabulous! Everyone had a different drink, different meal and different rolls. He never wrote anything down, everything was delivered correctly! The food was fabulous, everything was perfect. Service was top notch!! Highly recommend eating here for lunch. Recommend to make reservations if you would like to sit around the actual grill and have to entire experience. We decided to sit at a regular table instead of waiting for grill seating.

A few takeaways, the sushi was phenomenal and the portion sizes were very good unless you don't like eating a good amount of food. The service was fantastic and my server was James, guy is pretty awesome when it comes to helping you decide because I had a few questions on what rolls were most popular/ what he would recommend. The ambiance/ vibe were very quiet and peaceful but that will always depend on who else is dinning there but I got there before any rush of people so i definitely recommend to go around 4 or 5 pm. Overall definitely one of my favorite places I've visited during this trip to st Robert.

Being derprived of sushi for 5 months at military training left me in some type of mood. A mood where I was kinda dying for sushi on my one and only family day. Expect a lot of graduating soldiers here if you are attending a family day and decided to get sushi for lunch or dinner here at Ichiban. Lucky for me, Ichiban was right outside that place I called home for 5 months; Fort Leonard Wood. I was able to obtain quality sushi, some hibachi lunch and my favorite green tea. Everything was really good. Service was quick and friendly. This place felt, looked and is a Japanese Restaurant, a good feeling after 5 months of no eating out. Made me feel at home. Japanese for family day? Solid option. If you're in the area for reasons other than family day, I'm sorry you're in this boring area but at least you have Ichiban!

Pretty good food and includes sushi and hibachi in the back of the restaurant. We started off with the Beef Negimaki which had great flavor but it did have a lot of sauce that they were sitting on. We had the Alligator Roll, a Deep Sea Bomb Roll, a Futomaki Roll, and a Tiger Roll. All were really good and good portions for the price. Service was pretty prompt and we had a friendly and attentive server. Plenty of parking as well.

Lovely sushi place. Friendly staff. Exemplary sushi rolls. We enjoyed our cocktails: Lemon Drop and Lime In the Coconut. The sushi rolls were SUPERCALLIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUS! My friends ordered the King Sushi Roll, Shrimp Hibatchi, and the Rainbow Sushi Roll. I had the Yaki Beef sushi Roll. Medium rare angus steak, crab, onion, and avocado with spicy crunch tuna with Chef's special sauce. The rare steak was perfectly cooked. I love my steak medium rare yet the rare steak was absolutely spectacular. I ordered a Salmon Roe / Ikura Sashimi and it was unique in flavor and texture. The Deep Sea Bomb Roll has eel, avocado, soft shell crab, and cream cheese. It was the surprise dish of the day. I would definitely come back here...with a bigger stomach and appetite.

Just updating my previous reviews- it's been a hit or miss with their service lately. One day is amazing and the next I'm searching for the waitress to fill up my cup of water or even order my meal. Mind you, I come here very often and get carry out orders even more. Their food is still better than a lot of other restaurants here. It's worth a try and just come prepared that the service might be a hit or miss!

Came in with my sister, for a sorry, i didnt buy you anything for Christmas. We had Damian, he was polite and attentive. Got the sashimi sampler, it was ok, not too big on sashimi. We also got the love boat for 2. Chef selection on the sushi and you get to pick 2 rolls. Also came with the exact same sashimi selection as the appetizer. That kinda sucked. Dont think id order the boat again, the sushi wasnt at all what i normally get. Had to order 4 smoked salmon and 4 unagi. By the time it came out I was full. Unagi was a bit mushy, ended up feeding that to my dogs.

Before I could even get my glasses out of the case, our waitress--who also doubled as the bartender--was standing by, ready to take the order. Lucky for her, we already knew what we wanted. Drinks landed fast, followed by salads with the right dressing (a small victory in this world), and the steaks showed up before I'd even made a dent in the seat cushion. Mine came out just right--good sear, the right touch of smoke--and that baked potato was the soft, fluffy sort that needs nothing but a little butter and guilt. Our server managed that perfect balance: always nearby when we needed something, never hovering like a drone at dinner. All told, Colton's makes it easy to sit back, enjoy a properly cooked steak, and feel like you're being taken care of by folks who actually enjoy what they do. I'll be back.

She became more engaged when, I believe, she saw we were not having the best experience so I give 4/5 stars for noticing but also because she was more attentive and gave me an extra plate quickly when I asked bc of the steak swimming in clarified butter that was supposed to be in a separate dish for the lobster instead of floating around the plate. Ribeye was actually really thin. You can see in the pics, about the same size as a thin ribeye from a recent grocery purchase I made. It was actually cooked well - for the size I would have expected overdone. Biggest issue is when I cut a piece and started to chew I had the shockwave from teeth on bone. A little chunk of bone was still in the ribeye. Pic included. I told her after we paid so she could warm the kitchen staff. Ribs - fine. Lobster - rubber. Could have thrown it across the room and it would have bounced at least twice. See pics. Also, the butter issue. Sides - side salad was crisp and the cucumber was fresh. Mash was interesting, and that could be because it's processed potato, a gluey issue from over-mixing, or that it was also taking a swim in the spilled butter. Fries were very tasty. Mac was okay. Overall spend with drinks was $109 with a 20% tip. I would not say it was worth it. We basically ate the salad and bread and called it a day.

I am not super familiar with German food, but like to try things that are different. I wasn't sure what to order, so I ordered a Schnitzel Trio for $22.95. Pricey I know, but was here on work training and knew I'd get a per diem of sorts. They first brought out a small salad with a couple German style green beans, and other cabbage themed side dish. All was tasty. The trio came with a Cordon Bleu schnitzel, Jäger Schnitzel, and St. Maritza Schnitzel, and instead of a choice of potato, I chose the Spaetze which is like noodle. It also came with a bowl of brown gravy with mushrooms, which is poured over the noodles. All of the schnitzels were good with the Cordon Bleu and Jäger Schnitzels being my favorite. The gravy made the noodles, otherwise the noodles by themselves would not have a lot of flavor. It also came with a roll, but roll was hard and pretty dry. Overall, it was a nice experience and I left full. It is a bit pricey and not somewhere I go on my own as I regularly live on a frugal budget! I had the trio and a water and the total bill was $24.84 before tip! Great friendly service and I hope the continue to do well. It sounded like they just opened for more days out of the week.
