The food was great. The 12" honey hot pizza and 12" meat lovers was the perfect amount of food for 2 people with about half a pie left over. The crust is amazing but I would recommend the thin crust. We have ordered a few time from the St Robert location and have been pretty happy with the portions. Tonight we ordered a 12" pizza and an insalata caprese salad. I paid $13.99 for the salad and added Italian sausage for $4.99. I got about 8 basil leaves, 2 Roma tomatoes and a 1/2 teaspoon of sausage. This is our second visit to this location. Food & service is always good. Tonight we had salads & the meatball appetizer w/breadsticks. Their cranberry, goat cheese, walnut salad was amazing. In town for graduation at Fort Leonard Wood and ordered pizza for the fam last night. Service was terrible. I waited forever to pick it. The bar tender was making drinks in no hurry to go get my order even though I had a confirmation that it was ready. She even went to get someone else's order who walked in after I had been waiting over fifteen minutes before going to the back to get my order. The pizza itself was really good! The wings were so so; I've had better. I think I would try another pizza place in town before going to PaPPo's again. No matter how good the food is, service still means a lot. read more

Came in here for dinner on Tuesday night and got the calzone while my friend got chicken Parm sandwich and a salad with goat cheese. The atmosphere is like a bar and grill with lots of seating and a bar to watch sports etc. Our waitress was nice but didn't check in on us often. The food here was great. I loved my calzone which was cooked perfectly, crispy on the outside, gooey with cheese and toppings on the inside. You also get a side of marinara sauce for dipping. My friends sandwich looked pretty decent but her salad was perfect and huge. Overall, try the calzone, you won't be disappointed. This place is incredibly nice compared to the surrounding businesses! Great place for a date and also one of the few places with some real vegetarian options and vegan cheese options! I know who gets a salad at a pizza place ‍ I ordered the large house salad with added tomatoes and basil and then realized it doesn't come with fresh mozzarella so I had to add that too! The ingredients were all clearly crisp and fresh! After all the additions it was delicious with some salt and pepper on top! This salad was huge and was perfect to take about 1/3 of it back for lunch the next day! The pizzas looked delicious and the service was super friendly! Normally I love this place. We were so excited when we saw we could order two pizzas (two veterans). We didn't really have the money to get pizza today and just got pizza from them a few days ago. Their sign said a free 8in pizza per service member. I got to them to get the pizzas and they changed their minds to in store only. We could not dine in with sick children in the car. So I paid instead of just declining. Came out of pocket for something we couldn't even afford. The lady wouldn't even own up to the businesses mistake and make it right. I sat at the bar and went with a combo of wings, pizza, and cookies. Ordered 6 wings with Buffalo on the side. The wings were nice and crispy with good flavor plain, but dipped in Buffalo sauce was good. They have a bunch of other options, but since the base(plain) wings are good, sauce would be your choice. I'm a big pizza buy and went the day before to Alex's and wasn't really going to order pizza again, but looking over their menu and great pizza variety toppings, I had to give it a shot. I went with the: italian tomato & cheeseolive: oil glaze, minced garlic, mozzarella, fresh basil, roma tomatoes & fresh mozzarella ovolini on a thin crust. This was Really good and could taste the fresh ingredients. If I lived here, I would go down their pizza menu and try a different one every time. For desert, I had to go with the brown butter chocolate chip cookies topped with sea salt. Hmmmm...I've had homemade brown butter cookies and they are great. My rating for Pappo's is "abysmal". 0 stars if that would be an option. We went to Pappo's for dinner last week, expecting great salad and pizza. Maybe they just had a bad night. Our server was "promoted" from his position as a busser 3 weeks ago. He kept telling us what a great job he was doing. Oh.....if that really was the case. He definitely needed additional training. The salad was as we expected, but the pizza? Awful. We ordered a Sicilian. The crust was burned and the dough was raw. We sent it back, because who wants to eat raw-but-burned pizza dough? The 2nd pizza was burned--see the pictures below. We left and are unlikely to return. A shame though because we really liked Pappo's and we have a considerable amount of store credit from our points. And....with little kids in the restaurant, the TVs were playing "Naked and "Afraid". Some parents might think that is OK, but some might not. read more

After reading some of the reviews, it was hard to gauge if we should eat here. Since we were at the Hampton Inn, which is across the parking lot my friend and I decided to give it a try. The goat cheese salad was actually very good. It was recommended by the waitress and she made a good suggestion. We also tried the pizza. It was good pizza. I've had better, but if you're looking for a slice of pizza, this is in a bad place to go. I saw other comments regarding the loud music that was being played. That was definitely not the case when we went there. There was music, but you can easily have a conversation and not be distracted with music or TVs. We have had such great take out experiences with PaPPo's!! The food is hot and full of flavor. We usually get a hand tossed pizza with various meats and veggies. I tried the wild buffalo pizza but I didn't like it. The thin pizza crust had a nice crunch. The cookies were good, but very salty and takes a while to make since they're baked upon order. The server was good too. I think my food experience would have been better if I had gotten my own pizza instead of sharing with my family, but I wasn't hungry enough to eat a whole one by myself so I won't hold it against the restaurant. read more

This Soldier visited PaPPos Pizza and Pub. The locals stated it was amazing. Being from NYC, I figured I give it a try! The place looked great as it felt like a restaurant/sports bar. Ashley attended to me and recommended me Big Wave for a beer. It hit the spot! I ordered Ravioli for appetizer and a meatball pizza for an entree! Everything tasted amazing! My service through out the night was stellar as everyone on hr staff made me feel welcomed! I met some locals and transients as well, making my visit pretty awesome. I came here twice so far and it's been a hit or miss. The first time was on a Wednesday night, very packed to the point where they weren't accepting carry out orders. We were told it would be an hour wait but surprisingly was maybe a 20 minute wait. And this was expected because it had just opened the week prior. Beer was great. And the food was great. The only issue I had was that the appetizers were a little overpriced for what you get. I would be use to that if I were dining at a high end restaurant but it's a pizza joint. Service was surprisingly good for how busy and new they were. And our food came out in a timely manner. Now the second visit was the opposite haha. Grant it, I came with a large group. Majority of our orders came out cold as if it was sat there for hours. It was packed but not nearly as packed as it was the Wednesday night I was there the first time. One of my friend's ravioli appetizer literally came out empty. She bit into it and there was nothing inside. And again the appetizers are definitely overpriced. I got mango habanero wings and the sauce was amazing but it came out cold and the wings were a bit on the big side. I also ordered the eggplant parm pizza which was fantastic. The waitress was very accommodating, she had just clocked into the shift after working another job prior to coming in. And was very apologetic. Service again was great but the delivery of the food was not. However, we were taken care of and their customer service is truly what helped this review. We waited for the opening week's mad rush to be over to check out Saint Robert's' newest pizza joint. So, the lunch crowd was a nice manageable size and we had no wait for lunch. We were greeted with lots of smiles and friendly faces and a good menu to choose from. I tried the steak and cheese sandwich with salad for a side. My wife ordered the 8 in pizza. One thing for sure is you get lots of food got your money. The side salad, I chose the ceaser, was huge! That ended up letting me take home half of my meaty sandwich since I was so full. My wife couldn't finish her pizza either, so we will have a nice lunch with those leftovers in the next few days. The place has that new car feel where everything is clean and interesting. This will be a great place to watch football once we all get vaccinated and can enjoy crowds again. Looking forward to going back. Ok read more

Great Pizza; Great Wings. I highly recommend a hand tossed pizza of Any variety. The meat lovers, the kitchen sink (some of the stuff is fresh veggies) and the bourbon pulled pork pizzas were all fantastic. The wings were great too. Cherry Kahlua and bouton bbq wings? I can't remember. Things to stay away from. The marinara sauce and the ravioli appetizer. Ravioli was awful. The service was silly bad. But the servers were nice. I don't know if it was the bar or the waitress but it was comically bad. Stuff out of order and such. Highly recommend the nitro hot cocoa beer. Worth every penny. Yes it tastes a bit like cold hot cocoa. If I get to go back I'll probably stick to wings and pizza; best wings and pizza anywhere near Fort Leonardwood. Better than tk's. Update: this is my second time coming and it was worse than before. My family and I were disappointed. Overall the food taste good but the service and quality control with the food needs improvement. 1) we ordered 5 Buffalo wings and 15 mango habanero. Instead we received 5 mango and 15 Buffalo. 2) my sons pizza came with pepper flakes but didn't ask for pepper flakes. He mentioned it was spicy, but I thought it was the sauce. I tried it and looked at it, there was pepper flakes everywhere, it was so spicy. 3) we only got 1 container of ranch. We ordered more but it never came. 4) never got a refill on the water for the 2 hours we were there. 5) they put the pizookie in a to go box with the caramel and chocolate separately. Not sure why they did that since we were still in the restaurant. 6) my build your own pizza didn't have all the I gradients we ask for. I got the 14" pizza and need to pay extra for every ingredient. At that point I'm paying extra for stuff I didn't get. 7) my wife sprinkled pepper flakes on the pizza but the cap was loose, so all the pepper came out. Finally, like I said before the food was still good, wings are delicious. They just need a supervisor or quality control to make sure the food is done correctly. read more

Went out with the boys to grab some pizza and ordered the large Kitchen Sink with normal crust and the Hawaiian with thin crust. I'm not a fan of Hawaiian to start (no offense to those who like fruit on their pizza), but it's wasn't very good. The Kitchen Sink was bomb -- the perfect amount of meat, cheese and doughy goodness.
