Good sushi but don't order takeout. My girlfriend and I used to love this place prior to the pandemic but since they switched to a takeout only model, we refuse to order from here anymore. This place is a little jewel. Went here for lunch with a coworker. They have an unexpectedly varied menu, all freshly prepared. Loved their California rolls, Wonton Soup, and other assorted items. Order delivery on a weeknight evening. We got a couple rolls couple bowls of soup and a Kani salad. We were quoted for the delivery time to be about 55 to 65 minutes and it came in about 30. Which is good but also annoying to be quoted a time totally wrong. All in all the food was decent and went in the area I would call back in order again. read more

We have been regular customers of Ichiban sushi for 5 years. Sometimes takeout orders weren't perfect, but we kept quiet. Once again, a Tuna Tataki was in our order and the fish was "smelly", not fresh. We called the Ichiban and said that we got a spoiled and extremely stinking, not fresh fish. A chef couldn't help but notice that the fish smelled , which meant he prepared the order (with smelly tuna) intentionally. A manager had proved to us for a long time that we were wrong, that we didn't understand anything about fish and that everything was fresh. As a result, we had severe diarrhea that night. In return, we were offered "a credit for two Tuna Tataki for the next order." A very, very strong disappointment in the lack of professionalism of the restaurant management. New to the area looking for a sushi place and this was the option based on location. I ordered a spicy tuna roll and a paul roll. OMG !! They were both so freakin good. I ordered ahead and picked up the food and ate it at home and knew that was my sushi spot from now on. The ladies inside were very nice, and there is parking. The wait staff are very friendly and I've gone so many times that they already know the routine of me and my co-workers (I.e. what we want to drink, separate checks). I think their lunch specials are fairly priced and have good variety. I usually get the 2 maki roll special that comes with soup and salad. I always order salmon avocado and the salmon has always been very fresh! They also offer bento boxes as well as hibachi specials. It's an intimate restaurant that's good for small groups. The tempura was cooked perfectly, the rice was excellent, and the fish was extremely fresh. Even the toppings and vegetable fillings like cucumbers and avocados were expertly cut and handled. The service was wonderful as well. Very friendly, helpful (pointed out which rolls were which when gave us our plate), polite, and prompt. The restaurant is very clean and orderly. BEST sushi in the area. The Yelp ratings say it all! Fresh sushi, attentive and friendly service, great speciality rolls, and a clean restaurant! Started with the gyoza and the dumplings were sooo nice and crunchy. Being Chinese, I can say these dumpling were on point! Our sushi combination consisted of: - Tokyo roll (tuna, crab, avocado) - Spicy scallop crunch roll - Spider roll (fried crab, avocado, lettuce / topped with masago) - Honeyriver roll (shrimp tempura, avocado, cucumber / topped with eel, avocado, eel sauce, masago) Each roll was absolutely delish. Presentation was on point too! The Honeyriver was my fave for the night. I'd swap out the Tokyo roll in the future for something more unique but still good nonetheless! Meal was already too good to not get dessert. So we ordered the fried vanilla ice cream...Out came your typical ball of fried and breaded vanilla ice cream. Couldn't ask for a better meal! Hold onto your chopsticks, this place is the real deal. Previously Yuki Yama Sushi sat in this location and I was pretty heartbroken when it closed...but come to find out that it's just been renamed to Ichiban and it's back with a vengeance...FRESH and high quality sushi served. When I say fresh, I mean I'm ordering sashimi and "basic" sushi rolls with no mayo or anything extra that would mask the taste of fresh fish. You cant find this too often round these parts. So this is pretty fantastic. I've also tried the katsu (fried chicken or pork cutlet), pretty awesome and the plating is so eye pleasing. I've gone here with a few people and everyone always comments on how good the miso soup is (it really is) and the salad (ginger dressing is awesome and it's not watered down!!). The service here is stellar, it's family owned and everyone's so friendly and accommodating. A meal wont be complete without some mochi ice cream to seal the deal. Happiness all around. Ichiban means #1 in Japanese and this place is definitely number 1 for fresh sushi in my eyes. I love every dining experience I've had here...and there's been quite a few! read more

Normally we are very picky about sushi but this place did not disappoint. Our favorites were the yellow tail and salmon - they had so much flavor: mouthwatering! We also tried the beef hibachi, which was cooked to perfection and had yummy vegetables in the sauce was well. On top of the amazing food, the customer service was above and beyond. Ben, the owner, is extremely friendly and personable and the rest of his staff are quick on their feet. It is great that Ichiban delivers as well - will definitely be ordering from them very soon! We had the pheonix and the shrimp tempura rolls. Both were delicious and fresh! We also ordered chicken teriyaki for my kids but I had some and it lacked a lot of flavor! Like very soupy, just reallly reallly bad. I'm giving four stars because it seams to be targeted as a sushi spot and the sushi is GREAT! Its a small restaurant, with a welcoming staff. I had shumai to start, which didn't have much flavor but our sushi rolls made up for it! I got 3 specialty rolls (red bull, Mexican, and honey river) and they were all excellent! I customized one of the rolls which they didn't have a problem doing it, and it came out just how i had asked. I'll be coming back! read more
