Great group place located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. In terms of ambiance, it's standard hibachi setup/decor. We came as a group of 11 and were seated in the back to have all-you-can eat sushi. You can also order off the menu if you have diners who don't want sushi, which a couple kids did. Everything we ordered was fresh and the place is great for families with young or older children. We ordered a lot of rolls. While everything was fresh and excellent, the standouts were the Margrena Roll & Fire Fighter Roll. We reordered more of them. The shrimp tempura appetizer was solid and the seaweed salad was good but I've had better. I really enjoyed the experience. It's a deal in terms of sushi and worth trying. Avocado, Kani, and seaweed salads were all fresh and cool and a nice complement to the fried appetizers. Halulu is always a great time. We do the hibachi dinner sometimes and do the all you can eat sushi. If you want both in your party they sit you in a regular table section in the back vs. a grill top table. Either way the food is great. The sushi is very fresh and tastes good. With all you eat sushi there are really good choices and sides and desserts are included. I usually fill out the sushi menu as soon as I sit down because it gets busy. We dined in for my son's birthday. We were a large party and requested all you can eat sushi. We were not allowed to order one hibachi and all you can eat sushi together. However, they were kind enough to put on a mini fire show for the kids. The all you can eat sushi is amazing! It's BYOB with a liquor store and shop rite next door. They even went above and beyond and sang my son happy birthday with a sparkler candle and gave him a blow up hat. The appetizers are a mockery of what they're meant to be. Shrimp tempura was crunchy yet mushy and tasted weird... like they used breading in the batter or something. Tuna tartare made me want to walk out. Cut up pieces of tuna with a watery sweet sauce. All of the sushi was miserable. Whether it was the salmon with its opaque and slimy appearance, to the excess of rice to get you filled up quickly. The rolls were a disgusting combination of soggy, bland, slightly crunchy, somewhat sweet, and difficult to swallow. One roll was huge and gross and made me gag. This place is mainly advertised as a hibachi restaurant, but their sushi is really where it's at. Most sushi places suffer with quality when they try and do an unlimited, pay one price service. However, this is by far the best value you will find as far as high quality sushi at a low price. I can honestly say that there is no drop off in the quality or freshness of the sushi here even though they offer unlimited, pay one price for a full menu. The price is very reasonable-- around $22 per person depending on when you go. They also offer the premium signature rolls that would typically go for $15 each at other restaurants. They don't skimp on anything here. There are also a ton of other items available for the the pay one price sushi menu such as: fried rice, dumplings, soup, salad, spring rolls, tempura, edamame, teriyaki, lo mein, ice cream, etc. The biggest problem you will have is that you will get full before you can try everything you want. You will just have to do as I do-- keep going back until you get to try everything on the menu. Rating: 3.5 Stars They offer all you can eat sushi or hibachi, we went the all you can eat route for $22.95. We have been to numerous all you can eat places before, and this one is good. Most of their special rolls are just shrimp tempura and/or spicy tuna/salmon with some other ingredients, so there's not much of a variety when it comes to their special rolls. The other thing we weren't a fan of was the fact that they really cover the rolls in sauces. When we were eating the rolls, we were making a mess because of the excess sauce on it. We were contemplating asking for some rolls without it because it would ruin the taste of some of the rolls. On the positive side, the restaurant did really well with socially distancing. All staff were wearing masks, gloves, and we saw them thoroughly disinfecting the tables/chairs after people left. The sushi was good, not the best we've had at an all you can eat place, but it was a good place to try. I felt that the regular sushi rolls were better than the special rolls. My favorites were the spicy salmon and spicy tuna roll. I don't usually eat sashimi, but their sashimi was good and fresh too. We also loved that when the waiter brought our sushi boat full of rolls, he took the time to point out which roll was which. Super helpful as we were there as a group of 5! Could use some improvement... we did the all you can eat sushi...The appetizers were delicious. The sushi came in a big boat and the waiter took time to point out which roll was which (nice touch). When it came to ordering a couple extra things there was some confusion. The paper already had our previous writing on it and we should have gotten a new one. They ended up missing our smoked salmon all together and we had to ask again for it. And instead of shrimp tempura, which I had circled, we got chicken, which we couldn't eat. Over all the place is small... The carpet dirty. The waiter kept stacking dirty dishes on an empty able that looked super messy and should have a place for all the dishes in the kitchen. I was in the area with a friend and we were in the mood for some sushi. Thus was the only place with decent reviews in the immediate area. This place is located in a strip mall and the decor could definitely use a bit of updating, but the employees were nice and welcoming, so we decided to try it out. Upon sitting down, I was surprised to see they were an AYCE sushi spot. They also have a section for hibachi, which is cool. No one was eating hibachi the day we came, so I can't comment on the amount of smoke others have complained about. For AYCE sushi, I was surprised how good the food was. Everything we tasted was fresh and flavorful. They gave good portions, and although the rolls were big, they weren't the type to try and immediately fill you up with rice. After lunch, I was bummed to find out they don't have green tea ice cream, but I was glad in a way because I got to try the red bean for the first time and really enjoyed it. They were kind of enough to separate the rolls on different plates, due to my friends dietary restriction, which was nice. Love this place! We come here at least twice a month. I have been really enjoying the outdoor seating and the all you can eat sushi menu they are offering. You get a variety of options and the quality is very good! I especially enjoy the way the sushi plates are presented. I am a visual eater so presentation is important to me and they do a great job. I would recommend you try the Tuna tartar - wonderful flavor served with sweet soy sauce and fresh matchstick chopped cucumber. Also their crispy dumplings are delicious! Seaweed salad is also Yum! Their hibachi is also fantastic. Have not been able to have it for a while due to COVID but looking forward to doing so once indoor dinning resumes!
