I've been going here for a while now and it's mine and my family's go-to spot for all you can eat sushi. The prices do seem to go up every time we come, but the food is usually spot on. Some days it can be better than others, but overall it's still the best sushi spot hands down. They're super quick and efficient and are always ready to take your next menu to bring out more food without hesitation. I can see how it might come off like they're rushing you, which could make some people uncomfortable, but I don't think that's their intention at all.

i absolutely loved it here. great service, incredible food! only downside is, the size of the restaurant. it is really popular around here and gets so loud so easily! but the food is so freaking good. will definitely be back!

My boyfriend and I came to try a new sushi place and we enjoyed Miga! We were sat at the bar immediately. Our food came out very fast, within 15-20 minutes and servers were VERY attentive and quick. I got aged tofu as an app and it was good! Could use more dipping sauce but the tofu was nice and crispy. I also got a sweet potato roll, which is a classic and was yummy. My tofu skin & avocado roll was the real star though, never had tofu skin and it was super unique! My boyfriend got pork gyoza and said they were good! He also got the Beauty & the Beast roll, tuna avocado roll, Alaska roll, and yellowtail jalapeño roll. His favorite was the Beauty & the Beast roll and his least favorite (just said he could take or leave it) was the yellowtail jalapeño. Overall, a good spot for sushi, I'm sure the all you can eat deal is great - that seems to be what they're known for. But my boyfriend and I both agree it was a good spot to try out and we didn't regret coming

Been back a few times since trying Miga for the first time in 2023. My friends and family love this place! All you can eat is the way to go, and we love trying different rolls. Personally I think it's a great value for all you can eat - just come hungry!! Service is alright, I think they could be a bit more proactive and check in more frequently. Ambiance is decent - nothing crazy but I don't mind, the sushi is great!

Very good deal here for about $33 a person on a saturday night and BYOB. I think the value is there! the sushi was pretty good and service was pretty fast. They did forget a couple of things we ordered but you can order as many times as you like so it was no problem. If you want to eat a lot or try some new things it's a great place to go with friends so everyone can get whatever they like and makes splitting the bill super simple! Would recommend and definitely make a reservation it was packed when we went

Finally tried Miga and it didn't disappoint. Ample and easy parking. Ordering was a breeze. Water's delivered promptly. Everything was fresh and delicious. We were in and out in less than an hour with the all you can eat option. 5% discount for cash.

It's always a little hectic when walking in here on a busy Friday or Saturday night, but with reason. The sushi here is incredible and some of the best. You can taste how fresh some of the ingredients are. The place is very casual and BYOB. If you opt for AYCE sushi, come hungry! The Denville Roll is a must try!!

The sushi was awful for the price. Go to Yama down the street! Tuna should be dark and this is pink. I threw it out!

My wife and I are exploring to find our new sushi home as we moved up to Morris County and this is a great contender for it. Food: we ordered harumaki to start (spring roll) and it was pretty good, but the sushi is what sold us. We ordered the Beauty and the Beast, Ms. Tiger, and Sexy Roll which are had a great mix of taste and flavor. Service: I was impressed at how much of a well oiled machine this was. Besides our waitress, we were checked up on by another three waiters/waitresses. Definitely great! Ambiance: chairs and tables cover the floor as the sushi making station sits perched in the middle. Definitely a unique style.

It is BYOB, for those who haven't yet tried it. Same experience this time, as they are so welcoming and appreciative of your business. It was lightly attended at 1pm, only two tables taken. They provided wine and beer glasses upon our request, and gave us plenty of time to peruse the menu and make our choices. I chose three cold sushi rolls, and the lobster "cooked" roll for my meal. My tablemates selected a combination of hand rolls, specialty items. Everyone was very much pleased with the time to delivery, presentation, taste. I asked for extra wasabi and was given a generous portion in a bowl. Everything was just perfect, and they surprised us with a plate containing three salmon roll pieces that were "on the house." That so rarely happens, and it really made a great impression on us. Although we agreed to meet at another sushi place next time, it's purely to experience the cuisine of a different venue and no reflection on Yama Sushi. I highly recommend this place to sushi lovers in the area. Sadly, I forgot to take any photos this time!

Normally with a drink in hand I wouldn't mind, but this was tough with a group of kids. Speaking of kids - ours were being wild, and all of the staff was really nice about it. It seems like they are pretty used to kids running around, and luckily they have a huge indoor dining space with a fountain to keep the kids occupied. Let's just hope that no kids actually end up in said fountain, lol. Overall this is a great spot for hibachi, and despite a long wait time I'd come back again any time that hibachi craving hits.

And when I sat down inside this ultra-casual restaurant - I'm pretty sure that it's a converted residential house - I only saw my fellow diners ordering sushi. So don't come here for ramen; come for an incredibly tasty, inexpensive sushi experience. I had an amazing roll, and let me tell you, the presentation is stunning. It came out sizzling on cast iron, while my server spooned garlic sauce over the top to cook it and add dazzle. Filled with avocado and spicy tuna, the portion would be perfect for sharing with someone. I also had a dynamite roll, which more or less melted in my mouth. I was less wild about the Christian crosses at every table. I'm a secular person. All in all though, Asahi qualifies as a hidden, off-the-beaten-path gem of Parsippany.

If you like garlic, withhold expectations and absolutely give it a go. The contrast was an unbelievable experience--it was crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. There was sweetness, balanced by a tiny touch of spicy from the tuna plus heavy garlic in the sauce. The roll is served on a scorching hot cast iron tray, contrasted by the cool sushi inside. Every bite was a battle of soft and crispy, sweet and spicy, hot and cool--we finished it and immediately ordered a second roll. *As a nod to another review, I will acknowledge that the room got a little smoky immediately after the Amazing Roll was served and the waitress/hostess did elastic-bungee the door open for a few minutes to clear the air, but the air was clear and the door was shut soon after. If I were to change anything about our experience here, it would only be to stop at the two other occupied tables on my way out to preach about this roll and highly recommend they give it a try. I was so shocked when I saw it that I completely neglected to get a picture, and for that I apologize. Please accept this picture of the write up as a token.

I had the Korean Kimchi soup ($17), a fabulous concoction of ramen noodles in a slightly spicy miso broth served with spam, kimchi, a soft-boiled egg, bamboo, wood-ear mushrooms, and corn. My dining companion had the Tokyo Chicken soup ($16) with udon noodles in a slightly spicy miso broth served with sliced teriyaki chicken, a soft-boiled egg, bamboo, wood-ear mushrooms, and corn. My carb-conscious dining companion seemed mildly surprised the chicken filet in her soup was breaded, rather than grilled.. but adjusted expectations accordingly. Both soups were served quickly and were fantastic. The portion sizes of our soups were very filling and the prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food. We will definitely be back! The parking lot in front of the building facing NJ Route 10 can fill up quickly, but there is plenty of space in the parking lot behind the building and there are entrances in the front and back of the building.

In a nutshell, they prioritized catering-size take-out orders over seated customers, and tried to pad the bill after we handed our credit card. We had a 6PM reservation for 2 and we were the only people in the restaurant. We had a 7PM business call scheduled, and being the only seated customers, assumed we were good on time. A table of 3 and table of 2 walked in after we were seated and placed our order. We merely ordered 2 rolls, each and 1 order of salmon sashimi. Our meal took more than 1.25 hours to be served, because the restaurant was pumping out To-Go orders. Not small To-Go orders, but large round catering trays of sushi and specialty rolls! Our meal was served in "dribs & drabs," not all at once as we usually experienced here. One order of sashimi, wait 10 minutes, then one roll, wait 15 mins, then one more roll... still waiting for two more rolls. The rolls were loose... not like we were used to. Something changed at Asahi. After waiting another 25 minutes, we told our waitress that we preferred our entire order served all at once. Her reply was "it's out of my control how it comes out," with a shoulder shrug. We asked for the manager, and complained that Asahi is making its seated customers wait over To-Go orders. The manager said sorry & tried to give us free dessert. We didn't eat it and we told her we were now late for a business call, because it took an hour and a half for 4 rolls and an order of salmon sashimi. To make matters worse, they overcharged us. Our bill was approximately $88. and when the waitress took we card and ran it, the waitress added a $20. speciality roll that we didn't order or have, increasing the bill to $113. The manager had to fix that, which delayed us further. The food and service were great 3 times prior back in 2025, but this experience was so bad, we will never be back.
