I've come to this place for a few years now . The last time It was 5months ago it was way better than now. I came in on Saturday it was not the same anymore service no comment the servers look like they are not enjoying their job they look miserable. Management needs alot of work I know the owner franscisco he's a great person I come because of him his food is amazing I believe there's another owner he needs to step in and help him he already has alot in his hands with making the food he can't do everything he needs the help from the other owner I've come here and have never meet him this buisness has alot of potential and as I've notice Saturday not organized there's some servers that work more than the other's. When the rolls come out some of them just walk by and look and leave I saw them do that to my food I was about to get up and get them myself if it was a bother for the girls to just grab them and bring them to me . Bulgar language as well so unprofessional . I had gone Tuesday the same week to pick up order for my sister for dinner and one of the girls so rude just rolled her eyes so rude I let it slide . So I came back on Saturday and I was not a great experience. Needs alot of work 5months ago I would say understaffed but better service and a little more organized now I don't know if Management changed I haven't seen some of the good servers alot of new staff not trained right. Probably family I know not franscisco's family because I know his wife was a server before really friendly and nice always smiling very curtious and welcoming but as far as I know she was the only related to franscisco. Im leaving a very honest review. First off to-go orders so many people call during the weekend like a lot at least Friday-Sunday any other day you should get your call answered if you call and they don't answer it's also probably because they are on the call how do you expect them to answer. Sometimes there only 2 servers and that's it maybe a busser how do you expect to get your call taken if they are busy? Next I'm gonna talk about service it is ehhhhh that's all I really have could use improvement of course. Next food it takes awhile sometimes SOMETIMES, there's 20 something tables if it gets packed there's like 100 rolls or more to be made with to-go you think they are fucken robots or what it takes time to make the rolls this ain't no fast food place. Also they changed chefs why are you expecting the same thing that's like expecting a off brand soda to taste like the name brand soda it just doesn't. Next thing is prices there is inflation shit cost more product cost more therefore your meal is gonna cost more go to arigato and compare the rolls and prices, please look at the difference before you leave a review. I was debating in putting a review about my experience this weekend. This place was recommended by a friend of mine. I decided to go for dinner this past weekend I have to say my worst experience ever. The food was great it was amazing but the service was horrible It was very disorganized I've worked in restaurants before and busy one's too. And I have to say they need alot of work I don't know who's running the place but the owners have to change alot. There's alot of unexperince young people there was alot of people working I wouldn't say they are understaff i would say they are overstaff just not given the right training they where on their phone where customers can see them . I'm giving this restaurant one star . Not for the food it's delicious I have no complaints sushi amazing. I went to eat with my family on Sunday worst experience ever the place was a mess service was the terrible they were not organized at all. I don't know who is in charge of the service but I feel like he or she needed training first. The sushi chef had to go out and was taking the food out and taking orders. It's a shame with such good food and worst service ever I've never seen it at It's worst . They had alot of people working and they still were struggling. Before it was short staff but they kinda managed it a little better . Now I'm sorry to say I'm not going back. I'm so disappointed by this place and I've been coming here for years! Their rolls are for the most part amazing and decent in size BUT the hassle of even trying to get ahold of the restaurant to order is not worth it. Their hours of operation are not up-to-date, every time I try to call them to place an order I CAN NEVER GET THROUGH! Last time I couldn't get through and so I stopped by on my way home and come to find they were closed! This was on a day where they've indicated they are normally open. If you go there to place an order (because you can't get through to them on the phone) you end up having to wait 45 minutes to an hour! Absolutely horrible and I will no longer be coming all the way from Marina to give my business to them. read more

Okay first of all I love this place sushi can't go wrong here everything fresh my to go sushi place BUT last night total disaster bad service . Some of the servers where just standing in the front other's where running like headless chickens . I'm sorry but the owner's need to get new management or a new plan . They where not organized at all from what I can tell. We got something fom kitchen i I got it cold of course. This was my far of worst experience I don't like to write bad reviews but they need to fix this . This is a Mexican restaurant and definitely not Japanese. The owner and sushi chef is Mexican and he doesn't know how to make sushi. He covers it up with seasoning and sauce but the rice being used is plain white rice not sushi rice. The tempura was served cold and the gyoza was dried out and was probably old and reheated. This is another attempt by someone to own a Japanese restaurant that is clueless about the proper preparation and cooking methods of authentic Japanese cuisine. The sushi I ordered was absolutely delicious, and our waitress was very kind. All the dishes arrived on time, and the place was very clean and well-kept. However, my sister's dish never arrived, even though we were all really hungry. After waiting a long time with no updates, she ended up canceling her order. Food and service were overall great our waitress was Jeanette she was very informative on the rolls and had awesome recommendations! She recommended the Hangover roll, Cadillac roll [popular one there] and Coco Loco roll, by far best sushi I've had around this area the service was excellent and for a busy place the waitress took our order quick and food was perfect. I currently live in Boston, and this topped anything I've had there. I've also visited China, Japan and Brazil for work and this is on par with the best...in Prunedale!!!!!! Great food, great service, and an outstanding staff. Excellent experience. Would recommend this to anyone. The sushi here is really good and fresh, and the ambiance is nice and welcoming. However, the customer service was disappointing. I understand it got busy, but we weren't checked on for a long time, and it took a while just to get our check and a to-go box. Come in here at least once a week all I have to say is that the food is Awesome and over all the people are great. They seem to have changed the waitresses but everything is still good there very friendly! The Cadillac roll and the hangover roll are really delicious highly recommend those to anyone coming here for the first time! :) read more

The food is excellent, the service is quick, and the prices are affordable. The restaurant is well-lit and clean, unlike some places that use dim lighting for aesthetic reasons but are actually just hiding dirt. I would definitely come back to this restaurant again. read more

Great fresh sushi reasonably priced and they have fresh wasabi which not every sushi place has. I can't remember its name but my favorite roll has salmon and thinly sliced lemon on top. The ramen is good too just not very traditional. read more
