The heat roll with two pieces eaten already
    Amy N.

This place is amazing! We got the tuna tataki and Korean fried chicken to start. Both were amazing! Then we got the ramen, orange beef, and heat roll. Everything was delicious and the service was so great thanks to our server Conrad! We got the Xango for dessert which was so good! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is modern and trendy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I highly recommend them!

I was excited to try this place but overall it was quite disappointing. Lots of parking but all paid. I think the street parking is cheaper if available compared to actually inside the city park garage. The menu is quite diverse. Gyoza were meh for my palate.. No crispy bottoms. I got the chicken katsu curry. Server mentioned curry was not spicy at all, which is unfortunate, but I still wanted to try it. Taste was just very basic. Might have been less flavorful than a roux cube. The katsu was fried nicely. Wish it came with beni shoga, but it doesn't. My friend got the gyudon and the proportion was far too much rice for the amount of beef. I also tried one specialty roll, the bakka roll. I love salmon but the ikura was a bit fishy and ruined it a bit. Service was ok. A few whiffs. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place had little fruit flies/gnats flying around which is never a good sign and super annoying when you're trying to eat.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Prices aren't bad actually when looking at cost alone but I guess it doesn't make up for rest IMO.

It's always a pleasure to visit one of my besties in Florida. She and I are foodies from way back! The excitement in her face when she was telling me about this establishment was contagious. The chef, Hiroyuki Terada is world renowned and has a YouTube following of over two million. He deserves every bit of praise....the food here is phenomenal! We opted for their most popular ramen dish, Tonkotsu. Simmered 12 hour bone broth with tender Chashu. Garlic fried rice, the Takoyaki appetizer. Every dish was absolutely delicious, flavorful and filling. The portions are generous. To finish the meal we shared a dessert, Xango. A deep fried cheesecake crepe served with vanilla ice cream, drizzled with caramel sauce and sprinkled with cinnamon. O.M.G....PERIOD! Afterwards we spoke to Chef Terada and let him know how much we enjoyed ourselves. He was as warm and inviting as his food. He shared stories and even took pictures with us! An extra special thanks to our server Sandy. This gentleman was on point in every way....friendly, professional, knowledgeable, funny and gracious. It was evident he truly enjoys his job. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This aesthetically pleasing establishment is literally a hidden gem. Tucked within the City Park Mall in Riverwalk Center, attached to the North Parking garage. It seems like such an obscure place but once you find it[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]..... This is on my list of best culinary experiences for the year, thus far. Make it a priority to stop in the next time you're in the Fort Lauderdale area. Thank me later......

After the fantastic experience we had a couple of weeks ago, we came back with our daughter and son-in-law. It was spur of the moment that we decided on this. I called on the way here to see if we could make a reservation since it was a Saturday night and we weren't sure how busy they would be. I was asked what time we would be coming and I told the hostess it would be around 7:15 pm. (It was 6:50 pm when I was calling). The hostess said that they don't take reservations after 7 pm. When we arrived, the hostess asked if we had reservations. I told her that we did not and were told that they couldn't give us a reservation after 7 pm. [[HIGHLIGHT]]She brought us to a table in front of the bathroom.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had walked past an empty table on the way to the table we were sat at but figured that that section was for reservations since that's the area where we sat the last time when we had a reservation, so we didn't say anything. Our waiter didn't seem as attentive to us as he did with some of the other tables. Not sure if we were "out of sight, out of mind". We had to flag our server down to ask for take out containers when we were done with our meals. The containers were brought out and we had to ask for a bag and our check. While we were waiting for our check, a big group of young adults (about 6 people) headed to the restroom that is only for 1 person and hung out behind us waiting for their turn. That was the last straw for my husband who got up and went to our server to get the check so that we could pay and leave. The food was excellent but the rest of the experience was very disappointing.

Wow! The food here was fantastic. I went my daughter who had just got back from Japan. She was so impressed. It didn't disappoint. The flavors were so on point. I can't rave enough. My daughter is already planning to go back this weekend. The service was excellent.

This spot just reopened just over a week ago and it was truly amazing! So many things which we tried turned out to be our favorites. Every single thing! 5/5 Beef Tataki $15 Seared perfectly rare and served with Ponzu Sauce. 5/5 Vegetable Tempura $10 includes Shiitake, Eggplant, Onion, Asparagus. Very light and battered fried. 5/5 Harami Skirt Steak $32.00 came perfectly MR and the Japanese rice that accompanied it was so soft. 5/5 Chicken Teriyaki $15 dark meat chicken for the win with their homemade teriyaki sauce. This was absolutely hard to beat. I was here a couple years ago and there's new management, but one things for sure...the food is even better than I remembered it to me! 10 stars I could say myself!

Came here for lunch. Service: Seated quick. There were 2 other groups eating. Server was nice, and didn't have to wait to be served. Server didn't provide the lunch special menu outside, but overall was attentive to our meal. Sushi: Rice to fish ratio was off. Too much rice imo. Salmon skill roll was soggy, and lacked flavor. I was expecting the salmon skin to be crunchier. Salmon/Avocado roll was just ok. Again, rice ratio seemed off and the sesame seeds on the outside took away from the main ingredient which should have been the salmon. Ramen: No complaints. Not spectacular, but not bad. Just average. Broth was salty like an instant ramen at home and lacked that "umami" flavor. Combination Fried Rice: Solid overall. Lacked salt/umami, but no complaints. One and done, would probably not order again for I ate here Chicken/Pork Katsu: Pork Katsu was disappointing. Bread layer fell off the meat. Pork was dry. Chicken katsu was better. Salad had no dressing. Takoyaki: These were good. Just the right portion of filling and flavor was expected for Takoyaki.

Food and service are great, friendly staff and delicious menu. Portions are huge for ramen and the pineapple sake is so good for someone who doesn't usually like sake. Will return when I visit Fort Lauderdale again.

My only complaint was the location was a little hard to find. [[HIGHLIGHT]]But once we found it the venue was lovely. It felt like a step into a little ramen shop in another country.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Everything was clean and well lit.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The TV was playing the new head chef's YouTube channel, which was an absolute delight!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We learned that they had just reopened after getting a new owner and a new head chef (master sushi chef Hiroyuki Terada). Adam was our waiter. He was incredibly helpful despite being new and working with a new menu. Food came out quickly and everything was delicious. 10/10 will absolutely be returning.

    Mentaiko Udon
    Kex Z.

TLDR: Pretty mediocre tasting overpriced Japanese restaurant. Initially I was expecting more diverse Asian food as some of the review mentioned like Peking duck etc. However, it seems like the owner has changed and the restaurant is now fully Japanese. Regardless I stayed and ordered several items to try. The beef tataki appetizer was disappointing. It says it has yuzu ponzu sauce but soy sauce overpowered other flavor, I can barely taste the citrus flavor from yuzu. Mentaki udon flavor is very unique. I'd say it's an acquired taste. I'm not a fan, but neutral feeling. I also tried fried rice, and the flavor is pretty mediocre, kinda salty, and somehow fried rice took the longest time to serve. Nothing tastes bad, but with its price point, I am expecting something better (restaurant level, not some home cooking level).

Ichimora just reopened again with a very known You Tube Chef from Diaries of a Master Sushi Chef. They have a limited menu now but everything we tried was so taste , a true Japanese cuisine.

I visited Ichimora after their reopening and everything was impressive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was cozy and clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was super friendly, welcoming, and attentive We tried a bunch of dishes and everything came out fresh and well-made. The Mentaiko Udon was creamy and flavorful, and the Vegetable Tempura was light and perfectly crispy, not greasy at all. The Beef Tataki and Bourbon Chicken both had great flavor and cooked perfectly, and the Tatsuta Chicken was juicy with the perfect crunch. The Pork Dumplings were super good. My absolute favorite dish was the Chicken Fried Rice. It had so much flavor and seasoned well. This dish beats any fried rice i've ever tried. Words cannot describe how delicious this dish was, therefore, you have to try it. For a restaurant reopening, they're already doing such an amazing job. I'll definitely be returning!

We didnt know this place was chef Hiroyuki Terada san's new restaurant. We needed our asian food fix while visiting Fort Laudadale and we found this spot on weekday evening. This was one of the best Japanese cuisine experience we had in recent years. Every thing is so good and both ramen and sushi were top notch. We tired sumo roll to start and it was so fresh and perfectly prepared. Also chicken leg plate is something I still think of. Soft and tender - it was traditionally prepared in home cooking style. This place should be more known and its been only opened for 2 months. I truly appreciate that both our server and Terada san took care of us. Would love to come back. Hopefully they will expand and open another location in LA area.

Parking was easy, with a metered lot conveniently located across the street. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and requested outdoor seating so we could enjoy the waterfront views and watch the boats pass by. The atmosphere was relaxing, scenic, and definitely one of the highlights of the experience. Our server was friendly, attentive, and had a great personality. Table snacks was a small bowl of popcorn. To start, we ordered a Pearl Bourbon Smash and a Dragon Margarita. The Bourbon Smash was so good that we ordered a second one. The Margarita wasn't my favorite, but I finished it and followed it up with a Sensei Old Fashioned. For our entrees, we ordered the Korean BBQ Bulgogi and the Korean Steak Chimicurri (spelled that way on the menu, so I'm not sure if it was intentional). The Bulgogi portion was generous, and we really wanted to love it, but unfortunately the meat arrived cold. That was disappointing, especially after being told that everything is made from scratch. My husband's entree was served about 10 minutes before mine, which wasn't ideal. Generally, guests dining together should be served at the same time. I encouraged him to start eating so his meal wouldn't get cold, but unfortunately it already was. My steak arrived hot and was cooked slightly more than the medium temperature I requested, leaning closer to medium-well. Despite that, I still enjoyed it. It was served with jasmine rice and maduros, which complemented the dish nicely. Overall, we had a lovely dining experience. The waterfront setting, pleasant service, and enjoyable cocktails made for a great outing. We would definitely consider returning, especially to combine dinner with one of the boat tours. To top it off, our server gave us a bag of cotton candy. I felt like a kid. I haven't eaten cotton candy in years

Our waiter checked in on how we were liking our meal and even turned a hot latte into iced without any problem. The outdoor patio is beautiful as it overlooks the beach right across the street. We went for breakfast which has a small but amazing menu. As a vegan myself I had to order off the "sides" portion of the menu and I ordered an English muffin and a sliced avocado - very affordable ($5 total). I also ordered the fruit platter ($10) which came with an array of yummy fruits including pear, melons, pineapple, oranges, grapes and strawberries. There was more than enough for our table of three! My daughter had the pancakes which came with a warmed jam, syrup, and whipped cream. She said they were very fluffy. My husband had the chaffles which are croissants pressed in a waffle maker. They came with the same sides as the pancakes. And again he said they were so light and fluffy. We rounded off our meal with iced lattes - mine made with oat milk - and they were outstanding. I usually do not like iced drinks but the weather called for it and I was not disappointed! Overall Takato's breakfast is A+ and the view takes it over the edge of greatness! I hope you get a chance to enjoy it as much as we did! We returned to Takato for dinner and what an amazing meal we had. My one warning is to ask about portion size as many dishes are worthy of sharing size. We ordered an array of food. My son loved the kimchi short rib tacos (2 to an order). My daughter had the duck bao and California roll - both received two thumbs up! My husband had the wagyu sliders which he thought were an appetizer but ended up being a good sized meal served with french fries. He said the burger roll was a bit dry and could have used a sauce. The fries received rave reviews. We also had the mushroom gyoza (5 to an order) and these were delicious. I had the Takato salad without cheese and it did not disappoint. It came in a big bowl with crispy tofu. And I also enjoyed the vegetable sushi which provided a light fragrant taste with a crunchy texture. Takato hits the mark on all fronts and will definitely be a place to which we return whenever we come to Ft. Lauderdale!
