We went here for a girl's night and it was absolutely amazing. We didn't have a reservation and they were kind enough to seat us at the sushi bar. Our server was great and James, behind the sushi bar, had us laughing all night. The squash blossoms are a must order and the Belly nigiri sampler was so good we forgot to take a picture. They do not have a liquor license but do have a great array of sake and beers to choose from. I look forward to going back.

    Hamachi Crudo

The food was absolutely incredible! All of it was so fresh and so delicious. We especially loved the Japchae and hamachi crudo, but all of it was still amazing. The beef short rib melted in your mouth, while the kimchi dressing was a perfect amount of heat for the crudo. No flavors ever competed against each other, but sung in harmony. Five incredible dishes under $80, even with two big eaters. Along with great food, the service was impeccable. They were kind and attentive to our needs, even with allergies. Recommend for foodies on a budget, looking for an amazing experience.

We had a very good lunch here. The restaurant is located in a funky "hip" area and the artsy decor and high priced menu are reflective of the surroundings as well as the high price of fish these days. We were able to snag a parking spot on the street right outside as it was still early. They have their all day menu. And now, there is also a lunch menu which is accessible via QR code. If you can visit for lunch, and take advantage of these offerings, it will be a bit less expensive. We started by sharing an avocado and cucumber salad which we loved. This was small chopped pieces of cucumber mixed with similar sized pieces of ripe avocado mixed in with crunchy green seaweed -- all in a sesame vinaigrette. So refreshing. We then each had a makimono -- a sushi roll. I got their JB tempura roll. It had salmon, cream cheese, and avocado and was tempura fried. And topped with eel sauce. My husband got their triple roll. It was done inside out with salmon, tuna, and white fish. There was also avocado and masago. He said it was very good -- as was my choice. We had friendly and personable service. Glad we finally had the opportunity to try this place. It had been in my bookmarks since they opened about two years ago.

A true elevated sushi and Japanese experience.. everyone has toro and edamame but not like this. We started with the Miso Edamame which was absolutely terrific. Shishito peppers were a special fried in tempura with a ponzu style sauce on the side. The truffle and toro roll was by far the star of the show. Two flavor combinations I never would've imagined would work so well. I can keep going but I'll let you try it for yourself... everything was fantastic. Only complaint was it was a bit loud but when we went there were two large parties so not removing a star for that. Service was quick and attentive. Will definitely be back next time we're here..!!

Cute place! Comes from the chef who started Phat Boy sushi! Tuan is the chef and Tatum was my server. She was great! Sushi was fresh! Not 5 stars bc it was difficult to find the parking situation is confusing!

BLT Bow Bun - Loaded with flavor with texture that your palate will love.

Found a new Asian/Japanese restaurant that may now be my favorite in Fourt Lauderdale. While its location is somewhat tucked away, we found the atmosphere to be very vibrant and welcoming. We ordered a half dozen small plates and each was excellent. The edamame was the best I have ever had. The sashimi was fresh and super delicious. The BLT bow bun may also be the best bow bun I have ever had. Service was equally excellent and our waitress Maria was top shelf friendly and classy. What a great meal. Thank you.

Located on an unassuming side street just south of Sunrise Blvd in Fort Lauderdale, MISO Japanese Tapas is a restaurant that you must try if you're in the area. Warning: the food is not cheap; you will spend at least $50 per person including tip, but it is worth every penny. There is good food, and then there is exceptional food. MISO stands in the exceptional category with some of the best food I have ever experienced. The restaurant does not have any signage outside other than on the door. It's easy to miss it. Once inside, you will notice a clean and modern decor. The menu is one page. It offers sushi, appetizers, meat, and vegetables, all in tapas form, meaning that all plates are small samples. Two to four may satisfy one individual. The service is above average. Our server was attentive and extremely professional. He gave us a tour of the menu when I said that I was unsure of what I wanted to order. The food is something that cannot be described. Everything was great, but the miso sea bass was something spectacular. Sea bass is always good but this will blow your mind. It was the best piece of fish I have ever eaten in my life. Overall, MISO is a must try if you're in the area. Yes it is expensive, but understand that you are paying for the highest quality food and a chance to sample flavor that you have never had or will have again.

Wowwwwwieeee! What an experience. I found myself wandering in this inviting space after a massage at The NOW next door, and golly did they treat me well! Tatem welcomed me in with ease and gave me a nice introduction to the very kind staff. I sat at the bar and found myself across from the wonderful owner Thuan, who recommended the most delicious plates. I told him how hungry I was and he hit the spot with the perfect portion size to leave feeling happy and comfortable. He whipped me up a stellar carbonara pictured here - something dreamt up from the man himself. Kenji hit me with the beef short rib tacos wrapped in seaweed to keep it all tight and right! Clara closed me out in world class fashion and I left a very happy man. Check out the funny sign on the bathroom wall when you go! Thank you!

We loved this cute restaurant close to downtown Fort Lauderdale. Limited free parking out front but if you park in a pay to park spot, they can validate for free parking. The interior is nicely decorated and had a good ambience. We were there at lunchtime and they have a special lunch menu. We were quickly seated by the server, Tatem, who was friendly and helpful. She made a few suggestions and we ordered the hi hello sushi roll, toro crispy rice, and lunch beef donburri bowl. The sushi bar is.open to the dining room and we saw Thuan, preparing our food. Everything was really delicious and the attention to detail made it even better. We asked to add kimchi to the beef bowl and loved it. The thai pepper on the sushi roll along with the crunchy garlic were so good. We will definitely be back to try more of their food. It would be wonderful to come with a group and share more items.

The sashimi appetizer was excellent as usual. Freshest there is. The fried oysters were excellent. The soft shell crab BLT was amazing.

Been meaning to check this place out for a while and so glad I finally did! The inside is nicely decorated, not too loud and nice ambience. Food was delicious. It's tapas style so you will want to order a few things, the salmon tataki was my favorite. I wasn't impressed with the crab wonton dish and probably wouldn't order again but the sushi rolls were delicious. Server was beyond helpful and nice (her name is Tatum). Will definitely return!

Delicious!!!!! Love this place so much!!! Fish is so fresh. The service is 12/10. The Kobe steak is really good too. And the uni pasta is unique and amazing.

The food was a hard no! I did not like the fish here at all! The rice also misses the mark.

Parking was easy, with a metered lot conveniently located across the street. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and requested outdoor seating so we could enjoy the waterfront views and watch the boats pass by. The atmosphere was relaxing, scenic, and definitely one of the highlights of the experience. Our server was friendly, attentive, and had a great personality. Table snacks was a small bowl of popcorn. To start, we ordered a Pearl Bourbon Smash and a Dragon Margarita. The Bourbon Smash was so good that we ordered a second one. The Margarita wasn't my favorite, but I finished it and followed it up with a Sensei Old Fashioned. For our entrees, we ordered the Korean BBQ Bulgogi and the Korean Steak Chimicurri (spelled that way on the menu, so I'm not sure if it was intentional). The Bulgogi portion was generous, and we really wanted to love it, but unfortunately the meat arrived cold. That was disappointing, especially after being told that everything is made from scratch. My husband's entree was served about 10 minutes before mine, which wasn't ideal. Generally, guests dining together should be served at the same time. I encouraged him to start eating so his meal wouldn't get cold, but unfortunately it already was. My steak arrived hot and was cooked slightly more than the medium temperature I requested, leaning closer to medium-well. Despite that, I still enjoyed it. It was served with jasmine rice and maduros, which complemented the dish nicely. Overall, we had a lovely dining experience. The waterfront setting, pleasant service, and enjoyable cocktails made for a great outing. We would definitely consider returning, especially to combine dinner with one of the boat tours. To top it off, our server gave us a bag of cotton candy. I felt like a kid. I haven't eaten cotton candy in years

Food: I really enjoyed my Trio roll it was full of yellow tail, tuna, and salmon, and I ordered eel sauce on the side. Service: The food came out quick, but I didn't like our waitress. She didn't speak English really well and couldn't understand us when we had questions for her. My friend ordered a side of noodles for her dish and it was literally just butter noddles and when she asked for a sauce to put on them (which she wanted in the first place) she said it was going to be an extra charge and she also didn't list any options of sauce so my friend had to come up with it off the top of her head.

Because we shared, it's hard to pinpoint which specific dish may have caused the issue. However, within hours of eating, we both experienced significant gastrointestinal symptoms. I personally started burping up the taste of pork ramen around 1am and have been dealing with ongoing severe stomach issues since about 2am. It's understandable that foodborne illness can sometimes be difficult to trace to one specific item, but since we shared everything and both became ill the same night, it felt important to share our experience. We hope the restaurant reviews food handling and preparation practices to prevent this from happening to others. Unfortunately, this was a very uncomfortable experience for us and we wont ever eat at this location again.

I asked the server how long they have been open and he said 8 months but I see Yelp pics and reviews dating back at least 3 years. Someone must have told him the wrong information but no matter, we are just glad we finally found it. We went with the classic Shoyu Ramen with nishu beef and black garlic. I was over the moon when they touted a 12 hour chicken broth soup base. Every ramen shop I have tried to get ramen from has a pork based broth which I do not eat. I'm finally able to have ramen and boy it did not disappoint. The noodles were perfectly al dente and had a satisfying chew with every bite. The broth was so flavorful with the bamboo shoots, bean sprouts and all the slow cooked fats and oil from the chicken broth and the nishu beef, which was tender, thinly sliced rib-eye meat, I suspect. All this topped off with a perfectly cooked soy marinated egg. What an amazing flavor combination. The takoyaki appetizer was also delicious. Biting into the crispy exterior, you are then met with a soft and tender interior filled with chunks of octopus. The balls sat atop Japanese mayo and was drizzled with delicious takoyaki sauce. All it was missing was the katsuobushi which would have elevated the takoyaki flavor. We also ordered the Mala Shrimp which was on the Chinese menu and did not come with rice. That had to be ordered separately. Food came out quick as we were the only patrons apart from another table outside and service was good until a large party sauntered in and the server became inundated with requests. All in all, we will definitely be back to try out other menu items.
