I have been a CA. licensed class B contractor for 50 years, and this is the very first licensed contractor that I have had to fire; he is also an absentee owner. His employees were all children, starting at 20 - 28 years old, and did not speak a word of English. Ask yourself just how much experience could a 20-year-old could possibly have? The taper was the best employee they had. They never covered any of the desks or computers, and were constantly asking me if they could use my ladder or borrow one of my tools. They hung over 45 sheets of sheetrock; however, the skim coating work was horrible. That was when they got fired. They will impress homeowners who know nothing about quality work, but they will never impress a licensed contractor. Avoid this company. read more

We used ICI Drywall for a home we recently purchased in Granada Hills and they were awesome! We initially just hired them for painting but as our Reno project went on, so did the scope of their job. They ended up smoothing out ceilings (we had popcorn ceiling before), some baseboard work in the bathroom, patching up walls, and installing 6 interior doors. They did such a great job that everyone who comes and visits has commented on the paint job and how nice and modern the ceiling looks. Gene and his team go all out and they are prompt. Communication with them was excellent and they did not leave until the job was complete (including all patch ups) and we were happy. Although they are not the cheapest (we got some lower bids) their price was worth every penny. You get what you pay for. We've seen paint jobs (from friends and family) which may have been a little cheaper, but it looked worlds apart from ICI's work! read more

I called ICI Drywall because I needed ceiling drywall put up in a room that used to be a garage space that had a very ugly drop ceiling. Gene and his partner showed up the next day and took a look at the room and understood exactly what I wanted and explained in detail what they recommended. They gave me a very fair bid price and we scheduled for the next week. I am not a morning person, and I work from home, so I was a little apprehensive about the possible distractions of having workers in my house for 3-4 days, but Gene and his guys were amazing. They arrived on time every morning and got right to work without any fuss. They were very respectful of my home and took great care to protect the floors and furniture. You can tell these guys like their jobs and are good at what they do. All in all, they added framing, put up the drywall, sanded, primed and painted. I would definitely recommend using ICI Drywall. I had them install a laminate floor upstairs in my house and they did it flawlessly. The workers spent quality time installing the floor in a pattern that looks incredible. I spoke to Gene who gave me the initial quote and it was a little lower than the other estimates I received. However, I really only chose them as I felt more comfortable dealing with Gene than the other company's owners. Upon completion, the price came in exactly as quoted with no extra or hidden fees. I had them replace the floor boards as well and they did a fantastic job sculpting them to fit around the doors and edges. The cleanup process was excellent as they left nothing behind and were very professional. I even received a follow up call weeks later to make sure I was satisfied with the job which was refreshing. Gene's team transformed our home in just one week. We hired ICI to remove popcorn and paint our ceilings. The work was done sooner than projected and we were only charged what was originally quoted. We did not move all of our furniture out of the house while the work was being done, so ICI took great care to protect our furniture, carpet, TV, etc. Nothing was damaged and they cleaned up pretty well when the job was done. I've been an architect for over 30 years and had the opportunity to remodel an old house in Santa Monica, CA. I was at a loss for a drywall company as I am from Las Vegas. Gene's response was fast and professional. He bid the job without delay. His workmen started the following day.
