I am so glad this bar/restaurant is still operating during covid! It's such a great place all around whether you want to meet up friends and enjoy great drinks and food or just go there solo to just chill with a drink or two. Customer service is taken seriously here and I feel like I just want to keep coming back because of it. All the employees are super friendly and the guy that wears the black hat is impressively great at his job. He seems to bring a certain level of professionalism to the place. The smoking ban continues to help reveal new places to hang out to me! This bar in my neighborhood has caught my attention a few times, but before the ban, I'd have never gone in there. The bar has 4 or 5 tvs tuned to sports (2 are flat screen), 6 or so video lottery machines, and a fair # of tables. But the real center of the action were the 4 pool tables. There was a pool league playing that night. Ambience is basic sports/dive bar. It is nicer than a dive bar though - it is obviously someplace people care. I didn't have any food, but the people who had burgers sitting next to me looked very happy. Fairly big menu of various and assorted fried things. Good strong FREE wifi too. Used my computer for about 30 min while I was there. Two ladies working were very nice. Paper was around, a fair # of tables - although most were near the pool tables. My husband and I have been here a few times for lunch and have been so happy with the food and service. You can tell they take pride in their business and it really shows. Their drinks are very good (gotten a bloody Mary here a few times) and the food is fresh with generous proportions. The place is very clean and well lit. They even have parking which in this area of Beaverton is a huge bonus! We look forward to coming back again. read more

Great spot to catch a game. New to the area and found the establishment open at 9:00 am. Met Bonnie and her staff (Leslie, Lisa and Shelly) as soon as I found my bar stool. They all go beyond expectations to find your game and certain you do not go thirsty or hungry during the event. The tv's are spaced out so you can enjoy from the bar, high-top or table. Felt like I was part of the family from m the first hello. I ordered a simple breakfast and my eggs and bacon were perfect...as well as the whiskey! Will be back. Always love coming here as the food is always delicious - and Bonnie and Lesa - just the best as are their wait staff - always reminds me of the old sitcom "Cheers" - where everyone knows your name! I had a crispy fried chicken sandwich that was AWESOME! Of course, the homemade coleslaw and potato salad just can't be beat! They have 4 good size TVs and a small one with red zone! Didn't eat here but the food looked pretty good as it passed by. I'm sorry for my late review, I visited Ickabods tavern about two weeks ago and fell in love with it. We went during the day so I cannot vouch for what it is like at night. There are three beautiful pool tables all in great condition (big plus for me, I love playing pool). The tavern is spacious and in a great location. The service was beyond great, the staff was very attentive and nice, they helped us on what to eat based on how hungry we were and it was perfect. When our food came out our server had brought our paper placemats, sat them down for us along with our silverware and kept making sure we were good on our drinks. Their chicken strips were some of the best I've had in awhile, they weren't the regular shape of out of the bag chicken strips, these were actual chicken cut up and cooked fresh. French fries were great. Only drawback was the ranch, not good at all :( I highly recommend the tavern :) we will be back! definitely will see how it is at night and let everyone know! read more

I started really coming to Ickabod's a little over a year ago, although I've known of the bar/restaurant for years and have visited a couple of times over the last decade. They are a block away from my work, so proximity is obviously huge for me. But proximity only takes it so far. The food is on point. Priced perfectly for the amount of food you get. Good solid food whether you want breakfast, lunch or dinner. You can eat healthier with a salad or a wrap, or go full blown and get one of the best burgers in the area. I recommend Ickabod's a lot and have never had so many people come back to thank me for the recommendation. It's one thing if you personally love the food, but to be able to send people to a place and have them thank you. Typically, I have to make sure people understand, yes, it's a bar...but they still have really good food! Clean, friendly, good food. read more

I've been enjoying Ickabod's for over 20 years now. Although things have changed over the years, one thing that has remained is a wonderful, friendly staff. The owner is an amazing lady and everyone else is very kind and welcoming. The food is reasonably priced and is delicious. There's an extensive menu list. Most recently I had fish and chips, which were excellent. The draft beers are nice and ice cold. They have pints as well as two sizes of pitchers available. In the last few years, outdoor seating has been added. This is a really nice feature. To be fair, one of the drawbacks of this is that some of the parking was lost due to seating. But there is still dedicated parking for Ickabod's in the lot just by the front entrance and there is plenty of street parking if that's full. One other thing that might be taken for granted is the fact that the restrooms are always clean. I've experienced some nasty ones in other establishments in the area. There used to be four nice pool tables, but they were removed during the pandemic and are not coming back from what I've heard. So, don't go to Ickabod's looking for a game of pool. That said, many patrons enjoy eating there more because of the additional space for dining. One other thing to be aware of is that currently Ickabod's is only open until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays and until 10pm the other nights. Be sure to get there early to have enough time to have lots of fun. Finally, I've met a lot of great people in Ickabod's over the years including staff and other patrons. I'd highly recommend Ickabod's to anyone looking to have some great food and drinks surrounded by friendly people. read more

Yes, it is a dive bar. Yes, it is in Beaverton. Yes, it has a name that brings to mind Sleepy Hollow and Headless Horsemen. This would've been the kind of place you'd walk out of smelling like you took a dip in a swimming pool full of ashtrays before the smoking ban. I met up with my father for lunch here the other day ...and he is the king of all those formerly-smokey and cheap dive bars. They have a decent menu of fairly typical bar food. I got chicken strips for around $6 ...definitely cheap, and well, pretty tasty. Also, the fries are great! Fresh cut and double fried, we ordered another basket to share after all our food arrived because we decided we didn't already have enough with our meals! There are pool tables, video poker, and arcade games. I also see that they have wifi as well as ample parking; good to know when I'm in need of a place to hangout with my laptop in the future. read more

So, once upon a time there was this one dive bar and it was much beloved by it's regulars, and the regulars were settled in a bit with each other as you do with family (not your immediate family, but the cousins you aren't entirely sure how you're related to), and it was open for many many years and then! It closed. And the regulars were sad, and cast out in many directions to find a new comfortable spot, auditioning many along the way. Is this that new spot? Well for many, it is. For me - no, but it is a comfy, homey joint with friendly bartenders and patrons alike. Drinks are a reasonably strong pour, fine for the price certainly, and the bar is well stocked. There was something like 15 different vodkas, for example. All the flavors, many brands. I'm not trying to go on a fruit flavored vodka tasting any time soon (although, why not really?) but I point that out as an easy example that you should be able to find what you look for here. There's an ambiance that's missing though, for me. A warmth, an instant familiarity, something.... the requisite diveyness I enjoy, perhaps. So while it might not be my new hangout, it is a decent place to stop once in a while, play some pool, see some familiar faces that have settled in to their new spot. I will visit. read more

Recommended by a close friend as being a friendly place with decent food. Just the opposite was our experience. When my husband and I arrived around 7 pm, we went to the bar to ask for a menu and a drink. It wasn't busy. The staff seemed preoccupied with each other (2 women) and when one finally meandered over she was very rude as though we had imposed on them somehow. We decided to take our business elsewhere.
