Tried this place out to get my nails done. I walked out very disappointed. I wanted almond shape nails and could not even explain how bad they look. I really, really like this place ! It's in a strip mall. It's very pretty inside and they have a HUGE colorful fish tank on display as soon as you walk thru the door. So many pretty, colorful fish swimming around. A great distraction if you need to wait for any reason. They have you check in via computer. They also offer a 10% discount for your birthday. I got the $38 pedicure and a manicure. They have the nail polishes lined up so that you can select your color. I chose a pretty sparkly blue gel polish. The regular polish sits right next to the gel polish of the same color so it's very easy to select what you want. I had SNS that I wanted to take off, so they wrapped my fingers in foil and acetone to break them down so they could be removed. They fixed one of my nails that had been previously damaged by putting SNS back on the one nail until it could properly grow out. The massage chairs you sit in are so comfortable and give a great massage. Ella did my manicure and pedicure. I would highly recommend her ! She patiently listens to what you would like then tries to make it happen. She did a great job on both. She even noticed that the polish I selected didn't look great with my skin tone, so she worked to get the right color and it looked much better. She really knows what she's doing ! The pedicure I selected came with lavender lotion and scrub along with a wax and hot towels. I was also offered a glass of wine. *Remember cash for tip! I've been here three times now. A gentleman did my first gel pedicure and he did very well. The last two ones I've had the same lady and it's been fine. It not as good as the man. I will try to request him next time. The environment is very clean, fresh and upscale. I love being greeted by the fish tank and the brightness of the main room as well as spaciousness. Definitely one of best environments in area for nails. I would like a little more time and attention to my classic pedicure. I have very dry feet so another minute or two of some rough heel scraping would be good and a longer foot massage. I haven't been for a mani/pedi in prolly a year so I was excited. I had an appointment and was greeted immediately. The woman performing my service was very aloof. I paid for the extra pedicure and my massage was weak. I noticed her reading the instructions before actually beginning and being unaware of what an American manicure was. i was finally offered something to drink by the woman giving my friend a pedicure. Addionally, my friend was next to me getting her done and was getting the knots worked out of her feet. while the woman giving mine seemed to be wandering around the salon a lot and taking frequent breaks throughout the service. next, I got a gel mani- I had to call her back twice to actually file the excess gel off the sides. Another manicurist offered to help but I didn't want to make a big deal since my friend that I was with is a regular. I will prolly go back but will make a request. lastly, I was charged the same as my friend when I actually got the detox pedicure and she got the "mom" something or other which is a price difference. I will say the salon is extremely clean and their selection of colors and service offerings are amazing. the staff is eager to please- I think I just got the staff member who is not as eager. I got the worst eyebrow wax from here. The aesthetician left them thin, and trimmed so much hair off that my eyebrows didn't look full. Ok fine, I can deal with thinner than usual. However, when I looked at my eyebrows later at home in the mirror, I noticed she waxed them in a way that it looked as though I tweezed them myself at home. She did not leave a clean line shaping my brow. What was the point of getting them waxed if it was going to look worse than how I would do them at home? It was haphazard. I've been to this location exclusively to get my nails done since last year. Not sure what the appointments are for, as I've waited almost an hour after appointment times to be served. Today I made an appointment for 12:30, the time the shop opened. I arrived on time and shop was already full of customers. And it wasn't a private party either. So certain people get bonus hours?! I was told that I would be seen right away, yet not one employee was available. I did not have time to sit with my feet in water for yet another hour! I got a gel manicure, which I usually do every 2 weeks. I went here on a Thursday morning and by Sunday, my polish was already cracked and peeling off. Overall great experience. Went during COVID times, everyone was wearing a mask and all tools were cleaned. I opted for a special pedi with lavender salts and wraps and it was amazing! They really took care of my feet. I have 3 different salons that I use when home. I give 5 stars due to the hours of this business & skilled technicians. Very clean & sanitary. Liners are used in the pedicure chairs. There are 10 chairs on each side of the salon. In terms of the convenient hours for me its great to be able to get service on Sundays prior to traveling for work. I don't use any specific technician- for me it's whomever is available. There's a large selection of gel polish which I like. Of late I've discovered that not everyone has the mood colors so I usually have my own in my bag just in case. Aside from the mood colors there's a large selection of regular colors. SNS is another selection choice too. I've had this done once by a different nail salon & don't like it but if its your preference then I'm sure based on the number of people waiting to have it done here it appears that they do a good job with that. The location is popular for children services too. The location can be difficult with parking due to the shared parking lot with Harris Teeter and other businesses. There are offered beverages but I usually just opt for water. The music is good-there's huge fish tank in the middle of the salon as well as smaller one by the register. Multiple TVs are visible from any chair being occupied. Some have close caption so you can read info being communicated on the screen. I like that I'm listened to. I don't care for too much massaging and this is complied with. Some places are so quick and others are so long giving services that I'm left wondering if it's the person's first day. It's a happy medium here. Not overly quick or too long. Enough to get the job well done. read more

My BFF recommended this nail bar. Im from MD so I was kind of skeptical since I was not familiar with good nail places. Let me just say..the nail bar far exceeded my expectations Its really setup like a bar with hige massage chairs. I like the fact that all of the pedicure bowls have plastic around it and is changed with each pedi. Can we say...being sanitary is KEY so I loved that idea. I got the OPI signature pedi which included paraffin treatment, massage etc....ohhhemmmmmmgeeee Amazeballs and my nail tech Katie was awesome. Didn't even clean up my incredibly long cuticles. So I had to try at home which made the length of growth look bigger. They put a gel topcoat on top of dip that is peeling and this is day 3. Clear base and coats feel thin and no sanding of color coat or activator used. Had a decent manicure last time but it broke and dip nails usually never break for me ...gave it one more shot but no luck. I also was put in my chair 35 minutes after my booked appointment so not even sure that the appointment was for. Will not be back . read more

I dropped my daughter off at iColor to have her acrylic nails removed and her nails polished. I didn't look at them until we had already left the area. I can't believe they did such a poor job and let my daughter leave like that. We used to go here frequently to get mani/pedis but after a few bad experiences we stopped going. I brought my 10 year old and 3 friends for her birthday. They barely acknowledged the girls and even after me mentioning several times that it was her birth today, no one said a thing. I had to ask them to give the girls drinks. The person doing my pedicure stabbed me twice and acted rude to me the rest of the time because I said owww! My tech never asked if I wanted a drink either and then none of the girls got help getting out of their chairs or putting their own shoes back on like everyone else did. I will not be back. I love this place! Staff is very friendly and the services are great. I come in every 3 weeks for a gel manicure and Ann always takes the best care to ensure I leave happy. She knows I am a fan of the neutrals and is ever ready with the newest color for me try out. I am very sensitive about getting my nails cut, but she knows me well enough and takes her time to ensure a pain free experience. Even when I basically cracked my nail in half, Ann was able to repair it in no time! The spa pedicures are very relaxing and they do a nice job with waxing as well. I highly recommend you book an appointment as this place fills up quickly on the weekends! While you wait they also offer coffee, wine and water:). I would not recommend this nail salon, after going for gel manicures or gel color changes 5 times. Each time I went in, it was like Russian Roulette for the quality and pain that I would experience. Some nail technicians were gentle, well, one of the five. If you get someone you like, ask for their name and make appointments with them. That was my mistake. *My other mistake** A hint for newbies like I was: Say NO to cutting your cuticles if it hurts! I would cry in pain, but they kept on cutting. I didn't know that I could say no until I talked to a friend, who lives in Clemson, but is more experienced in the nail realm. She actually told me the first time that I went that I shouldn't go back because I called her to ask why manicures hurt so much, even though they were so pretty. For the record, too, I always, always warned them that I have very thin skin and nails. It tried just color changes, but it cost almost as much as a manicure, since they charged me for the removal, which they advised me never to do on my own because my nails are so thin. They also continued to jerk my shoulders almost out of the socket when they contorted my arm. I pulled back and said no because I have a joint condition, which I explained, too, since it is related to the thin nails and skin, but apparently they couldn't paint without causing me pain. When they pulled on my fingers, my body would just keep moving and be pulled, whereas someone with normal ligaments would simply stay still. [I have since found somewhere else that is set up in such a way that doesn't hurt when they paint my nails. So, it was them, not me.] The straw that broke the camel's back was a cut that was treated with extreme disrespect. The technician left the acetone on for far too long (4 times longer than usual). I repeatedly warned her about my thin nails and skin and loose joints. She was really hurting me and as I was telling her that I didn't was anymore cutting, my cuticle was cut, and the blood poured out. I was forced to hold a paper towel soaked in rubbing alcohol on the cut for a long time, which stung and hurt. That couldn't have been the best solution. She also didn't put on gloves. Then she put something green on it to disinfect it. The bleeding still didn't stop. I went to rinse my hand and screamed at the sink. What I found really unacceptable was two technicians yelling at me and a new one of them BLEW ON MY OPEN WOUND. I pictured germs just going into the wound. I picked up my purse and walked out. And it despite Neosporin and gel polish somewhere else, even over a week later, I had a deep red spot at the base of my nail where the cut was. Later that day, when I went for polish somewhere else, the cut opened back up and blood poured out again. I didn't have to hold rubbing alcohol on it for the time it took someone to buff and take care of the other hand. The heat and burning lasted for days. I was afraid that I had been really infected. I will miss the hundreds of nail colors that they had to chose from and convenient locations because the next place I went had only a handful of colors, but at least they explained that my thin nails never even needed to have my cuticles cut, plus the color removal charge was included in the color change charge, so I didn't feel like I needed to pay for a manicure that made me wish that I wished that I didn't have hands. I know people can read this and say "skip manicures if they hurt," but: 1. You should be concerned about the sanitation if you get cut and how hostile they could be if you call them out on it 2. Handicapped people want to feel normal 3. Handicapped people have special events 4. Handicapped people want to feel beautiful 5. Looking better on the outside than I do in the inside can make me actually feel better or more confident. I didn't make my decision to walk out lightly because of the location and my limited ability to drive. But 1.5 weeks later, that finger still aches. read more

I visited iColor Nail Bar for the first time today for a fresh full set and pedicure. I had to get something cute for V-day. They did an AMAZING job on my pedi. Definitely recommend splurging for the deluxe one. She took her time exfoliating my legs and feet, and my polish came out perfect. My full set was shaped so well and my nails weren't too thick, which I love! They were moderately priced. I paid $88 for the set and pedi! Will definitely be going back here! read more
