Over the years, I have little to no trust in dentists and dental centers, not so much for quality of services, as much as fraudulent and misleading bills. So though I loved the experience the first time I went to this clinic I decided to wait for a while before posting a review. I am happy to say that I have been going there for over a year , and not only is the clinic state of the art and top notch in terms of dental equipment, but the dentist, Dr Nadia, is an expert in her field and did a fantastic job on my dental implants. I have been going there for over a year, and back to my main bone of contention with other clinics, this clinic has actually been honest and upfront! No hidden charges or lying about services performed! I state with absolute confidence , that this has been one of the best dental experiences in my life. I am afraid I did not have a good experience when making an appointment with this dental office that I chose because it is in walking distance to my Belltown Condo. This office was recommended by my insurance to get a cleaning done. However, I had to wait 3 weeks for their next available appointment, The day before the appointment I called to remind them to send the antibiotic prescription to my pharmacist (needed for persons who have had knee replacement) and was told by the receptionist that she didn't think it was possible for someone there to write a prescription today so I asked her to inquire and get back to me. Later that afternoon I received a call from one of the dentists that my appointment would not be for a cleaning, but for a dental exam and X ray and the cleaning would have to be rescheduled. At age 85 I did not want to go through the discomfort of X rays - all I wanted was a cleaning that I had put off for 2 years. I canceled and am looking for another nearby dentist. read more

I was a dental patient here a few years ago and loved my time there. I have high anxiety and have jaw issues, which means I can't open my mouth that wide. Dr. Valentine was extremely considerate of these issues and worked with me every step of the way. She would explain what tool she was using and how long she would use it for and check in with me periodically. I live in the south now, but if I ever move back, I would instantly return here. read more

Everything was great except that the male technician was cleaning my teeth and taking X-rays was SO rough. He had to retake each X-ray 4-5 times because he couldn't get the positioning right. Ended up causing me a lot of jaw and mouth pain. When he was doing the teeth polishing and water jet, my gums bled and I kept choking on excess water. Might come back but will try to request another technician. read more

I can't recommend this dental practice enough. I am a very "high anxiety" dental patient, having had some real horror shows, including the military mandatory removal of all four wisdom teeth for submarine duty which hemorrhaged, to a root canal which failed three times. I'm not a pain weenie or anything, but going to the dentist stresses me out more than just about anything. Dr. Aboulhosn has always made me feel at ease with any procedure and has been very patient in taking care of me. I think there's something to be said when I usually leave the dentist smiling because of her wonderful sense of humor while putting me at ease. More recently I embarked on the journey of an implant with Dr. Yassin. I had a root canal some decades back that had developed a bone infection and needed to be removed. I was a nervous trainwreck when I learned that on top of an implant and all that entailed I would also need a bone graft due to the damage the infection had done. It couldn't have gone more smoothly. My experience with doctors in general has been pretty mixed, either being treated in a condescending manner or hesitant to take up their time with questions. Dr. Yassin was very focused on allaying my anxiety, but even more importantly treated me with great respect and put me at ease, explaining the "how" and "why" of every part of the process. This made me very comfortable knowing what was going to happen, what to expect, etc. Basically, treating me like an intelligent adult. In other words, something that would have me as wound as a cat hanging off the ceiling became about as stressful as taking my car to Jiffy Lube. I wish I knew there were medical professionals like this about 40 years ago. I would have expected more from my interactions with doctors and dentists. read more

I really trust her to give me all the information I need in order to make decisions about my dental health, and that is important to me. I went to Icon Dental Center after finding them through Opencare, yay gift cards for dental work! They took my dental insurance and I signed up for an appointment online. I must say that this office is excellent, and I had a great experience from start to finish. First, I have dental phobias which they took seriously and worked with me on. Thank you! Second, every piece of equipment in Icon Dental Center from my tablet to check in to the sonic scaler they used for my teeth was the newest and most up to date technology. Third, awesome bedside manner- THE BEST. My dentist and my hygienist were kind, funny, and informative. I'm actually looking forward to going to the dentist again, how cool is that!? read more

To be hones, my first two visits were fabulous! On my third though, I did end up meeting Dr. Valentine, who's an excellent sales woman, though I don't know anything about her dentistry skills. I'm pretty healthy and don't really need anything other than the usual checkup and cleaning. After spending almost an hour getting an up-sale pitch after another, she put down an ultimatum and said that if I don't get any of unnecessary uncovered additional whatever treatments that I really don't need I can take my 'bad' business elsewhere. I do understand that businesses had it hard the last year, but I really just want to get treated by a dentist and not a salesperson :( read more

Like the average person I have a healthy fear of the dentist. I came to Icon because of its proximity to my home and it was the best choice. From offering early appointments at 7, to the warm and welcoming front staff, it was as good an experience it can be. Wendy and Dr. Sunny were very nice and empathetic for my visit. They were gentle yet effective for my cleaning. I didn't feel judged, pressured, or any of the negative feelings I've felt at prior dentists. I highly recommend Icon. read more

I have already reviewed Dr. Yassin (the genius) for all his expertise placing my implants. Today's review is for Dr. Nadia Aboulhosn and her assistants and staff: Karen & Yoreli and the front office specialist, Samantha who helped me with my insurance and scheduling. MY STORY: I developed a bad left canine tooth that became very sensitive due to a pit that developed in the center top from grinding years earlier. Dr. Nadia decided that the issue was not due to a cavity, so I could either get a root canal and a crown, or trust her advice and just go straight to the crown with no Endo. Since there was no cavity, I went with Nadia's advice. She set out to save as much of the tooth as possible while prepping it for the crown, all while avoiding exposing the root-pulp. I felt no pain during her work so her numbing skills were perfect, then she proceeded with 3 or 4 impressions to get it just right as this is a front facing tooth and aesthetics are important. She called in a favor to get my crown in less than a week since my tooth was so sensitive (she didn't have to do that) and the crown fit was snug and perfect, the color was spot on as well. UPDATE: I have no sensitivity biting on it so her choice of not needing a root canal was a very good one, at least so far. Amazing! Icon Dental uses the latest and greatest technology and is conveniently located (dental chairs have either a view of the space needle or Netflix). I highly recommend Dr. Valentine...she is friendly, informative and skilled at her trade. I have followed Dr. Nadia from Everett to Seattle. She has been my dentist for years. She explains everything while she's doing it. She knows I don't know any to getting my dental work done and tries to make my visit as comfortable as possible. Thanks to her, I am willing to go to the dentist.
