When I first started my research on a doctor for breast augmentation, like many of you, I turned to Yelp. I was a little worried about Iconic PS because of the number of reviews compared to the other offices, but I thought I'd try it out anyways. This was my first consult, and I was definitely nervous. I mean, it's my first breast augmentation. The staff, Lizette, Sabrina and Dr. D'Souza made me feel very comfortable, took the time to listen to what I wanted, provided very thorough information and were very patient with all my questions I had. I still wanted to get more consults so I went to a couple other offices, but none of them compared to my experience at Iconic PS. He took the time to measure and see exact what size & type implants would be best for my body type. Then he consulted with me what look I was going for and we worked together for a size. Then I got to try on implants sizes to get an idea what it would look like. I thought his method was unique compared to some other offices I went to where they just had me try on sizes from the get go. I am about 1.5 weeks post op, and I couldn't be happier with the results. If they look this good now, I can't imagine 6-12 weeks out. The whole experience from the consult, pre-op appointment, surgery, and post op has been so smooth. Dr. D'Souza is absolutely great with his patients but he also surrounds himself with other great staff at his office and the surgery center, which made the entire experience phenomenal. Post-op, he's available via phone and email all the time, so if you have any questions or concerns, he's there for you. His quality of service is something that you won't find elsewhere. My insurance gave me Dr. d'Souza's name for a medically approved breast reduction. I read as many reviews as I could and did some research. Dr. D'Souza's background was impressive, and with an office in Carlsbad I figured he would be a great option. My appointment was late in the day on a Friday, and the moment I arrived I got the sense that the staff was preparing to leave. The doctor came in visibly rushed, and he immediately gave me the sense that he was not in the mood to see me. He did a quick examination, and then told me if I use insurance he has to take out a lot of tissue in order to comply with their requirements. I am a Size F and he said I would probably be an A cup afterwards because he would have to take out so much tissue. He would also have to do a free nipple graft (which I looked up later and learned that no decent doctor does this procedure any more because of how awful it looks). He admitted that I would not be happy with the results, and then he told me to Google some pics to see how ugly the results would be. He then said if I use insurance, it is a lot of paperwork and it is overwhelming for his staff. It could take months to get approval and patients start to get angry at his staff. He made no bones about it- he was 100% not interested in having me as a patient. If you are looking to use insurance to have an approved procedure, do not bother with this doctor. He only wants out-of-pocket patients so he can earn top dollar and make things easier for his staff, which includes his wife. Do not let this man touch you. UPDATE: A week later, I went to another doctor that my insurance gave me. This doctor had the same credentials and even attended the same medical school as Dr. D'Souza. The difference is he has been practicing for 30 years instead of 5. This doctor laughed and said DO NOT do a free nipple graft. He did a more thorough exam and said I dodged a bullet by getting another opinion. I decided to go with this second doctor, and my insurance approved me in ONE WEEK. read more

I came to Dr. D'Souza with interest in a breast augmentation in November and I have had thee best experience I could ask for. Every single one of the staff is super friendly and welcoming, his awesome wife Sabrina is an absolute sweetheart, and Dr. D'Souza himself was an amazing doctor! I'm not going to lie, it was a bit uncomfortable but thats to be expected being only TWO days out. I had two of my best friends who had gotten their breast augmentations done elsewhere years ago, and they were ASTOUNDED I was able to be there. Both of them just thought I was a freak when it came to pain tolerance or that I got great meds; but nope - I didn't take any of the pain meds prescribed, I was going off Tylenol Extra Strength from start to finish! The only things I had to refrain from was reaching up super high, and lifting more than 10 lbs which was easier than requesting days off from work so my boss was a happy camper to help. Today I am 6 weeks post-op and my incisions are looking better every day, I was just able to start wearing underwire bras, and last but not least - my boobs look AMAZING! The office staff reached out to me immediately after I filled out the contact form on their website. The communication is great - they text you, send email reminders, book Facetime appts if you prefer that, etc. I went in for my consultation and was sold immediately. I booked my surgery before leaving the consult and ended up cancelling the consultations I had booked with other offices. Leah and Sabrina are the 2 ladies I interacted with in the office and they are so welcoming and genuinely nice. I normally get very anxious going into doctor's offices and talking to the staff but I didn't feel that way at all at Iconic Plastic Surgery. Dr. D'Souza took his time explaining sizing for breast implants. He showed me all kinds of photos, took measurements, and gave his recommendation. He didn't rush me at all and I appreciated that. I came in for Botox the results were very minimal and he does Not participate in the rewards program through botox so you will not get the the incentives you would if you went to a certified injector. Dr Dzousa And his staff are amazing they have great bedside manner and make you feel very comfortable. I had a breast augmentation back in March and the experience was great. The only thing I would recommend if you are planning to get a breast augmentation, make sure you put your foot down if you are not comfortable with the size. I wanted to go bigger but the doctor pushed for the specific CC I got. Now that I am all healed I wish I would've been more stern with my decision to go bigger considering how much I spent. Very pleased with Iconic. Dr D'Souza has exceptional bedside manner; took his time with me and explained everything he is doing and was attentive to the state I was in. I was a new patient and new to procedures that I am sure they do dozens of times a day but both front office and Dr D'Souza were very patient and calming without making me feel like a scaredy-cat .
