Eclairs - another staple I've been getting. The filling is delicious AND Jam packed. I only wish they have a chocolate top with vanilla filling option but that's cause it's a nostalgic thing. Smore Tart - I love this but I usually have to share with because the chocolate is so dense. Keylime - another one I always get, just the perfect flavor. Honestly haven't had a bad thing there. Also the customer service person is always as enthusiastic as we are about the goods. While I've had eclairs and tarts from several different Italian bakeries, and 3 stores, this is the first time I've had them from a French (these treats originated in France) bakery. Even though thel size is inline with the original classic eclair (had a bit less gauche), I was disappointed. And, much prefer the Italian version. Now, they had 4 different versions of eclairs (fruit, chocolate, vanilla and, coffee), along with many different tarts, with and without, fruit. I settled on 2 Chocolate Eclairs and, 1 Blueberry + Almond Fruit Tart. BAFT: While I liked it, it was nothing to write home about. I felt that there wasn't enough almond flavoring and, the crust was a bit dry. CEs: While it was packed with filling, I think, someone in the kitchen messed up, as there was a distinctive coffee taste (I don't like coffee), rather than just the custard or, vanilla taste. Had it not been for that, I would have given them 4 Stars. Why not 5? Well, I thought $6.00 (x2) and $7.00 each is a bit expensive. Especially, considering the size of the CEs and BAFT. For sure, I won't worry about a special trip here again. And, if we should stop here again, I doubt if I'd even bother with the eclairs (maybe a fruit one???).

We always get half sushi rice & half salad all the bowl places we like. I repeated that we buy a lot of mixed salad at the grocery, and it often does need some washing/ inspection to remove rotten lettuce pieces or sections. They shrugged. 2. When I asked about the salmon vs. spicy fish, my bowl maker shrugged and said she doesn't eat raw fish. (Do they know enough about sushi?) 3. My wife and I, who frequent many poke & sushi places, were amazed they would not take any responsibility. A 3rd worker comes in to work. We explained to him, confident someone must know it is not acceptable to serve rotten lettuce in a sushi bowl. He said, "Why are you asking me? I just got here. I don't know. I don't eat lettuce." 4. OK These 3 people have not been trained about acceptable food quality, much less sushi, which requires higher standards! 5. Details, this was about 90 minutes after the GA vs Kentucky football game, and we were the only ones in the store. Another family came, heard our ongoing discussion, and left. 6. Overall: pleasant place, and good ingredients and preparation EXCEPT for my wife's with multiple pieces and edges of lettuce that were black, slimy and clearly rotten. The menu said it's served with chipotle aioli, but I didn't get that on the side (possible it was already in the wrap, but I wasn't really able to distinguish it). There are a few dedicated parking spots for the Sinclair. I believe all the parking in Downtown is free too, but it was pretty busy on a Saturday afternoon. 10/10 would recommend!

Walking up, the espresso machine and register was set up outside. There's some remodeling going on so I didn't get the opportunity to see what the venue looks like inside. But outside is quite cute. I love the flowers surrounding the outside patio. A handful of sweet baristas were working. They all greeted us! I checked out the summer menu to see what kind of cool drinks they had. I got a vanilla oat milk matcha latte. My husband got a summer drink of the menu. It was a sparkling strawberry lemonade. My husband's lemonade was so good! I appreciate that real strawberry puree was used. It was sweet, tangy and bubbly! It was quite refreshing for a sweet drink. My matcha was balanced! There was a good amount of matcha to oat milk. I didn't quite taste the vanilla as much as I would have liked to. I did add some sugar to it when we stopped at the Waffle House. It tasted much better once the sugar was added. I'm already going to plan on coming back when we visit Athens again next year. I look forward to seeing the new remodel.
