Jacob and his crew at Home Comfort Insulation are top notch! For the estimate he was able to…read moreprovide photos and quotes for each of his services, which were all very reasonable - and given his professional nature we were comfortable moving forward with the job. We ended up going with R-60 in our attic on the 2nd floor, and above our bonus room to give us the biggest impact on the work being done. The work was able to be done quickly, and since our HVAC has had to run much less than before the job, well worth the investment! If you are looking for a punctual, professional, reliable and all around great local company - give Home Comfort Insulation your business!

I obtained quotes from five companies in the area that do residential home insulation. After having…read moremy home gutted out from a botched roof job, I needed to replace the insulation in the attic. The young man from "Home Comfort" that came out to give me a quote was very pleasant, but most important, was well informed and knowledgeable of his business explaining the various types, qualities, functions of the products they carried/installed. The price was well below the others which honestly, somewhat concerned me. They say you get what you pay for. After all has been said and done, I ended up with a superior product, excellent job, and saved a fair amount of money. Quite a fair amount. One thing that impressed me, Especially in a booming housing market, was the fact that they were extremely accommodating on the scheduling. It seems everybody is so busy and chasing the dollar that unless your schedule accommodates them they're almost impossible to get to do the work. With all the subcontractors that have been working on my home, scheduling it's rather difficult in trying to coordinate the various people. I had to change The installation appointment several times, which I believe most people would've just dropped me after the second time. Jacob, the person from home comfort, was very accommodating very understanding and had no problem with it. That was extremely important to me because my crystal ball is broken and I wasn't able to tell what was going to happen in the future. Even if you decide not to go with this company, you should do yourself a favor and at least give them a call. I think you wound be glad you did. Ask for Jacob. (The guy I worked with)

I hired 4 seasons to install radiant barrier and blow in insulation in my garage walls and attic…read more They also installed a solar attic fan so that I could benefit from the tax rebates. Chase did the estimate and gave me a very good price. I priced out the materials and it would cost me more to do it myself. His techs were friendly and efficient. The entire job was completed in 1 day! I have already noticed that on a hot day the upstairs is now only 1 degree hotter than downstairs. Just last week it was 6 degrees hotter! I'm a believer!

I hired Four Seasons to seal air leaks throughout my home, add blown-in insulation to the attic,…read moreand install a solar attic fan. With the tax credits, the price seemed reasonable and I was excited to have the help since I was getting burnt out on constant home improvement projects since moving in. The work was supposed to take most of the day to complete and I took an hour off work in the morning to let the crew in and show them around. On the day the work was scheduled, the crew showed up an hour late so I had to take additional unscheduled time off work even though I had already burned an hour of leave. Off to a bad start. Quinn, the salesperson who scheduled the work, called me to apologize and told me that he would discount the work by $100 to make up for the inconvenience. This made me feel better for a little while, until Chase (the owner) later told me that Quinn had over-promised and they wouldn't be honoring the verbal discount. When I got home that evening, I walked through the house and went down the list of things that were included in the bid: seal windows, bathroom fans, duct boots, recessed lighting, add weatherstripping and attic insulation. The caulk work around the windows wasn't continuous and I had to scrape caulk off my kitchen floor. Several windows hadn't been caulked at all. I checked the bathroom fans. One of them had been sealed, but the other had not. The other work was completed as promised. When Quinn came back to perform the post-audit (5 weeks after the work was performed), we walked through the house and I showed him the areas that had been missed. He agreed that the work was incomplete and scheduled the work to be completed the following week (6 weeks after the original appointment). After the crew came out to do the followup work, I found that one window and one bathroom fan still hadn't been sealed. I pointed these out to Chase when he came to do a walkthrough 2 weeks later (8 weeks after the original appointment). The crew came out again 4 weeks later (12 weeks after the original appointment) to finish the caulk work, and did indeed apply caulk to the window that had been missed as well as adding additional caulk to some of the windows that had already been sealed - but this time they used silicone caulk instead of painters caulk, so I'll need to scrape all of that off next time we paint. I'm very disappointed in the quality of work and in the length of time it took to get this company to simply check off the items on the bid. On top of that, they created an uncomfortable situation by asking on 3 separate occasions for me to sign the "Completion Certificate" from Foundation Finance, promising that they would still come out and finish the work even after I signed it. The Certificate says right on it: "Home repair contractors are prohibited by law from requesting or accepting a certificate of completion signed by the owner prior to the actual completion of the work to be performed under the home repair contract." Chase and Quinn are both great salesmen, but if you work with this company in the future, make sure you double check the actual work before calling it a day.

Strange business model. We recently purchased a home where…read morethe insulation was not up to code. Big City provided an estimate without coming to the house; seemed odd but is somewhat common. To expedite closing on the house we had escrow hold money, based on the quotes, for things that needed to be done. The money is in the bank earmarked for these jobs by the escrow company. Big City decided they needed a personal guarantee with a credit card. No problem, I knew it would not be needed. Then they said that wasn't good enough so I needed to provide a credit app (SS#, DL#, DOB). When I wouldn't provide that information and they wouldn't do the work. Why didn't they communicate this in July on their quote? Why did they send the credit card payment form if it didn't matter? Strange place.

Horrible Experience with this company. They are one of the subs for the builder of our new home…read moreand they constantly cut corners, don't arrive on time, don't show respect for people's property and homes and are disrespectful. They came back for the 5th time after never completing the job right. They constantly try to put in less insulation than is required to cut cost or something but it created major heating a cooling problems. We though that the previous time was the last time so when the painters came to finalize everything they caulked and painted the attic access. I told them that I could use a thin blade to cut the caulking open and they said no they could do it. Instead they POUNDED it open and tore up all the caulking, paint and drywall. I told them I was very upset that they would do that after we just talked about it and then they started to mouth off and say "well why did you seal it if you knew we were coming back"??!??!?!?!!?!!? ARE YOU SERIOUS??? Why have you been out here 5 times??? Do the job right the first time. Now i'm upset YELP wont let me give negative stars.
