Companies mess things up. It happens. And it's okay. We have all had a bad experience with a company at some point. The value and reputation of a company is not only in their products, but also by how it's people respond when they are confronted by a frustrated customer. And this is where Idaho iRepair completely fails. I was not expecting or asking for a freebie or a handout. I simply wanted someone to listen to my complaint without treating me like a child, and idiot, or a liar. Unfortunately, that is not what happened. To start off, it's important to know that I've had my iPhone 7 for over a year and have never had any issues with cracking. The screen has survived countless drops and crushes through various cases. I am not particularly hard on phones. On Saturday, I dropped my phone on the sidewalk and it cracked. It happens. The screen shattered. It was my own fault and clumsiness. I went to the iRepair in Meridian at 1530 S Millennium Way. The tech there was kind and professional and repaired the screen in about 30 minutes. For this service I was charged $137. Fine. Fewer than 36 hours later I was sitting on a couch, perfectly innocently, with my phone in my pocket. I pulled it out and, to my shock and devastation, the screen was cracked again!! Now, I know how this sounds. I'm not an idiot. I know that phone screens don't crack on their own. I know that there has to be either some trauma or some workmanship defect in the installation process. The thing is, there had been NO trauma. I had not dropped my phone. I had not bumped my phone. I just hadn't. I had to conclude -- reasonably I thought -- that the repair that iRepair did was poorly done and made my phone vulnerable to cracks where it should have been fine. Is that so crazy? I broke my phone the first time. My phone broke itself the second time. There was no drop or smash or throw. It is clear that Idaho iRepair is responsible for the damage that my phone sustained after their repair. Something was done wrong. Phone screens don't break them selves absent some shoddy workmanship. As soon as the Millennium Way location opened up on Monday morning, I returned and started speaking with the kid working there. The employee, "Zack," was appallingly rude and unprofessional. He did not attempt to understand or resolve the issue. He repeatedly groaned and scoffed and straight up accused me of lying to him about the circumstances of the break. What possible reason could I have for paying an arm and a leg to get my phone fixed, just to break it a few hours later in order to come in an get a refund? Absurd. When I asked "Zack," the high schooler, to let me call the manager, he would not give me the number. He continued to laugh bemusedly and roll his eyes. Zack has clearly never been instructed on the appropriate way to speak to customers. He was rude and insulting. Eventually I gave up trying to reason with Zack and called another location. When I asked to speak with their manager there was no problem whatsoever. I was speaking to the manager of the Village location right away. He was professional, but he also refused to listen to or accept the facts of the case. While he did offer to replace the poorly-installed screen for $75, I was not interested in giving any more money to this company. If an alligator bites your hand off and says he'll only bite three fingers off of the other hand, you don't stick your other hand in its mouth. This whole situation could have gone much differently for all of us. Had the screen been installed correctly the first time, it would not have spontaneously cracked. Had Zack been more professional and listened to my concerns, the manager never would have been called. Had anyone along the line been willing to take any responsibility for shoddy work, I would not be writing this review. Mistakes were made again and again. Idaho iRepair didn't do their repair or their customer service correctly. I will never return for their service. I am visiting Boise with over 40 people for a family reunion, who have all heard my story extensively, and all agree that the customer service and general response of this business was terrible. I'm going with 3.5 stars here. I walked in w/o appointment for an iPad screen repair ($100). The young guys were nice enough, but I left my iPad there without being given a claim slip or anything and also giving them my passcode. They said it would be a few hours. So we went out running errands. They called when it was "done", dry? I've have my screens repaired many times, different devices. I've never seen such seepage on the new screen. Even the guy who rung me up, was like, let me clean this a bit. I had to clean up the edges A LOT more when I got home. Repair was successful, but for price and time it took, I expected a little bit more. read more

I called the contact number supplied by google for the Rexburg location for a screen replacement. Two days later I traveled 40 minutes to Rexburg. I spent an additional 10 looking for a branch that no longer exists. At least disconnect the number instead of forwarding it! What an absolute waiste of time. Never again! read more

I've worked with them on a few occasions and they are so quick to respond to messages and they offer the BEST prices! They fixed my phone screen, I needed replaced, in just an hour. When I needed my son's xbox fixed, I had it back the next day! I will never go anywhere else! They are very helpful in explaining things and also offer a warranty on their work. They go over any damages and explain issues, what they are fixing, and why or how things went wrong with my devices... (like a 12 yr old son who may or may not have dropped his xbox)... lol! Thought I had broken my iPhone screen. Turned out I had only broken screen guard! Easily changed. Took less then 10 minutes.

Went in to get my camera lens repaired, ended up having my camera ruined, replaced and worse off them when I got there. Customer service was not good. Will be paying a little more next time to go somewhere else read more

Great experience getting my iPhone battery replaced. Made an appointment online, got email and text reminders, brought my phone in, and walked out in about 25 minutes with the job done. Completely the opposite of my terrible experiences at the "Genius Bar" (which I will never use again). read more

Treat their customers horribly! I have used this company at the Meridian location before to fix simple cracked screens for our phones this time I brought a laptop to Mitch to fix, he told me to price and time when it would be done which was 4 days I agreed and left it there. I went on vacation and 10 days later called and asked the status of my repair and she put me on hold at no time did I ever get a phone call to tell me there was a delay in my repair. I ended up waiting on hold for 10 minutes when I finally hung up. I tried to call back but no one answered, finally someone answered and she told me to hold again, but this time hung up on me. I thought that was odd and so I called again, no answer and again, no answer finally I received a phone call from the associate telling me that I was rude to keep calling. I was blown away that a company would call their customers of which they don't have time to check your order status, but to tell you that you're being rude for calling. So not only this customer service issue, my repair is is over 6 days late! That same day Mitch called me and proceeded to argue with me about things, and relayed to me that my order just slipped through the cracks and he was sorry. He then began to lay into me on how I treat people and laughing during our call and after saying he was going to fix my machine and what more did I want. When I finally understood that Mitch was saying he'd pay for my repair I gave them the benefit of the doubt, Mitch told me he forgot to order the new part and he would order it that Saturday. I then asked him when it would be done and he told me by Friday. I asked him what if it's not done by Friday, he then told me that won't happen and not to worry. So now it's the day before Friday and Mitch calls me before the store closes to tell me that the part he ordered on Saturday won't be here till Saturday, and that he forgot to check up on the part. I then proceeded to point out that it's the same situation as before of "things slipping through the cracks" and forgetting about orders. He then does the same thing that's done before and being extremely sarcastic on the phone, and then tells me after I talked with him about not understanding why they didn't follow up with the part or ask why they shipped it out so late Mitch begins to tell me that I'm not worth it as a customer and that he'll put my computer back and I can pick it up tomorrow. I am absolutely floored by the way this company or maybe it's just the Meridian location treats customers. Here's the issues I see - Lack of employees, normally only one employee is at each location, and with busy stores this is crazy - Lack of process to track orders, everything slips through the cracks - No one knows status of orders - No customer notification of repairs that are delayed - Complete lack of customer service skills and complete lack of care of how they treat customers - Skill set of repair knowledge or know how behind screen cracks is low I really wish I could say good things about this company, but they have lost all trust with me, after my interactions with Mitch of the Meridian store. Had screen damage to my iPhone 5c. The boys in the shop were polite and helpful. They quoted me a time of 20 minutes, however I went in on a busy Saturday afternoon and was in and out in less then a hour! $85 bucks tax included. Not bad considering the soonest I could get into the Apple Store was Wednesday (not for another 5 days) and these folks did the job for $50 less then the Apple Store and with a lifetime warranty on the glass. Excellent service today. Took my iPad in because after falling on the floor it would not start up. Turns out it just needed to be reset and there was no charge. When I went to pick it up I asked about a new docking port on my iPhone. The gentleman took one look and using his tweezers removed a little ball of pocket lint. This is by far the worst pace to get your phone fixed the only reason you should come here is if you want them to break it more for you. They use refurbished screens, not new ones. I've had them put 4 on my phone so far and they all suck. The first time the manager victor tried to fix my phone, he is so incompetent. He doesn't know what he is doing, he has no customer service, and he is rude. He will cuss at you and attempt to demean you. It took these guys almost 3 weeks to finally get my phone in working order(all that was wrong was a cracked screen) but victor decided to go ahead and break my ear piece as well. So having a phone you can't call anyone on is pretty shitty. They won't give you a refund either. Take your business to a place that knows what they are doing. Anyone is welcome to take a look at my text messages from the manager of this store, and you will see what kind of business these people are really running. read more

Awesome service! After setting my phone in a nearly empty juice glass my speaker wouldn't work. They checked for water damage and saw there was none- then cleaned the sticky residue off my speaker in less than 5 minutes and didn't try to sell my a new one that I didn't need. I am feeling frustrated with the Meridian location this week. My husband and I were looking for an ipad to use so we could facetime our sick family member. Monday evening we went in and found a used Ipad mini and took it home only to find out the sound didn't work. We tried many attempts to fix it with no avail. I took it back the next morning with the response of "so sorry, everything is usually thoroughly checked before being put out on the floor." He then offered me another Ipad mini which I then took home. Within an hour I took that one back as well because the front camera didn't work at all. They immediately told me there was one in their Boise store and offered to bring it to the Meridian store for pick up the next day. Never received a call for pick up the next day so I called the store an hour before closing. The response I received is frustrating. They received the other Ipad mini but there were problems with it so they decided to fix one of the three but it wouldn't be done for another day. Not sure why they couldn't have the decency to call me when they realized it wouldn't be ready for pick up. I am still waiting for the Ipad mini so we can facetime this family member before they pass away. 3 days wasted and counting. We have used Irepair several times but starting to doubt their service. read more
