Seriously the best place to get food in Star! They don't have a location to sit and eat but they make it work well! Online order was easy and smooth. From the very friendly staff to the amazing quality and taste of the food, this place is great! Plus it was ready so fast! Definitely impressed. Was a little hesitant, but figured all the previous reviews had some weight. We ordered at the last minute, tuna nigiri, spicy tuna roll,rainbow roll, tiger roll and waited while we took in a couple innings of baseball. That's right, this is operated out of a snack shack, do not let that deter you. The food was fresh and plentiful (large portions). Well packaged for the ride home. Staff was nice, but the sushi is way overpriced for what you're getting. This isn't California, it's Idaho!! Especially since there is no way to remove things from the rolls, besides sauce, the price isn't worth it in my opinion. What if I don't want onions in my roll, or crab on the top? They do not allow notes of any kind and you're stuck ordering it the way it's made. Which tells me it is NOT made to order, but premade. Which means it's not 100% fresh as it could be. Their website is limited and doesn't tell you all of the ingredients for each roll either. There isn't consistency on their website. One roll will explain what is in it but others don't. Some items like iCrab but nowhere does it explain what iCrab is. It doesn't explain the most basic information either, like if the salmon is raw or smoked? That is important information when eating sushi. Especially if you're pregnant and can't eat raw seafood. I really wanted to like this place to support local..... but I would rather drive into Eagle, Meridian or Boise where I know what I am getting and can order it the way I like. Not to mention the fact it's being made inside a baseball concession stand. Which brings up a whole long list of concerns about cleanliness and the ability to prevent cross contamination. Again, I really wanted to like IdahoSushiCo but can't. It's clear the owner only cares about pulling money in, and not about putting out a product that stands out. For the most part, all ingredients I have seen are inexpensive ones at the local market, tossed together in a roll of rice and charged high prices for it. They lack any of the normal sushi rolls like Cucumber Avocado Roll, Spider roll and or Kappamaki but instead offer basic rolls found in Southern California. Speaks volumes! read more

I am always happy to support local and this take‐out sushi is in Star located at the concession stand at Star skatepark. They take online orders only from 530pm-730pm M-S. They also do catering and have family meal packs. They have a variety of sushi rolls. Rolls are large we got 3 rolls and it was plenty for 2 of us. We had the Jeff's Sunshine roll with salmon and topped with sliced lemon, spicy tuna crunch roll and spicy Salmon crunch these have a light sauce. The avg roll price is between 13‐14$; each came with plenty of wasabi and ginger. Website is easy to use and pickup is timely. Nicely packaged takeout. Give them a try and go to their website and order an evening meal. Nice in the summer to take sushi to park and watch kids playing or just for a light evening meal. read more

This place lives up to the hype. Best sushi I have had in Idaho. We have tried a couple other places based on friends' recommendations and they have wound up being borderline scary or places that fry everything and cover it in mayonnaise. Not Idaho Sushi Company. It's all actually fresh, and they know how to make a spicy tuna roll (something I haven't been able to find properly made in Idaho yet). The only bummer is that it didn't seem possible for us to contact the business after our order was placed (we needed to add some additional items)...instead, we had to make an additional order, and pay an additional delivery fee and an additional tip...even though both orders arrived together with one driver, who acknowledged they noticed the add-on but offered no credit. Oh well, it's really good so it still gets 5 stars and we will be ordering again in the future! read more
