One of my family and I favorite Japanese restaurants for sushi. Food always comes fresh and delicious, their soup and salad always never over seasoned, perfect. Servers always in a good mood and nice and knowledgeable about their menu. Presentation of their food always beautiful. Restaurant is clean and bright.

Popular local place and first time here. Dining room was half full but they are suffering from a staffing shortage. They have a help wanted sign at the front door which showed when dining. Service lacking but apologetic and nice. Gyoza appetizer was ok. Temperature tells me it was freshly fried. Lukewarm. Eastern Dragon Roll. Good sized portion and great presentation. Flavorful with a good mix sauce and fish. Rice wasn't the best but not a deal breaker. Tempura was good and not too greasy. Would dine here again and try other rolls.

We absolutely love this spot when we have our post-work week. Food is always tasting fresh and the sea urchins are always so creamy and fresh when we get them here. Love their sushi taco. Service is efficient and kind. Nice mood lighting and I like their booth seatings

We were looking for a good sushi restaurant and found this one on yelp. Recently moved back from the Pacific Northwest and I will say some of the sushi in the area is not the standard I was used to. We were a little skeptical since the building last I knew Was a 50 style diner and still appeared that way on the outside. The interior was that you would expect from an upscale sushi restaurant. We started with the Boise spring rolls, which were good. The peanut sauce seemed more like a plum sauce . The shrimp and scallop hibachi was a very large portion and perfectly cooked. The scallops were tender as the shrimp and the vegetables were not overly cooked either . We did think that fried rice was an included option to be served with it, but there is a four dollar up charge for that. I had two pieces of salmon and two pieces of yellowtail sashimi that were amazing. The fish was fresh smooth, buttery, and served a correct temperature with a generous cut. They have a very large menu, however, the lunch specials are not offered on Sunday. Our service was prompt, and the food came out quite quickly. Definitely would recommend and we'll go back and next time we will try the lunch specials.

I came here around 7:30 pm last Sunday. I found this place by searching for Japanese restaurants near my hotel. We were able to sit down without waiting. The menu had plenty of options, and we decided to order the unagi don, vegetable udon, and sashimi as an appetizer. The portions were generous, and everything tasted perfect. Usually, I find unagi don a bit too sweet at other places, but here it was just the right level of sweetness, and the unagi was larger than I expected. I highly recommend this dish. The quality for the price is excellent. As for the udon, I really loved it. It had cabbage, broccoli, and I think some onion as well. It wasn't salty or bland; it was perfectly seasoned and creamy, which I enjoyed very much. The sashimi was also very fresh. Even though we went there at night, I could still taste the freshness. The ambiance was clean and pleasant, and the service was excellent. I really loved this place!

We ordered dinner to go at Fujiyama last night, nice quiet restaurant everyone was super nice and friendly. I ordered the chicken fried rice needed a little spice but it was pretty decent. I have never ordered fried rice that has chicken cube which I would prefer every time I side of dry piece of chicken other restaurants service. My BF ordered Beef yaki udon he said it was flavorful, he nearly devoured it so I would imagine it was pretty delicious!!!

Came here for dinner on a friend's recommendation and unfortunately did not understand the praises it got. The service was quick as we were seated right away and got all of our orders within 15-20 minutes. We ordered the fried dumplings as an appetizer, two rolls (I cannot remember for the life of me), and deep fried ice cream for dessert. The dumplings were solid. The two rolls we ordered were good, but felt a bit smaller/lacking compared to other sushi restaurants I've been to - especially at the price point. The deep fried ice cream was basically a huge lump of vanilla ice cream with way too much batter and topped with whipped cream and sprinkles. The vanilla ice cream was still pretty frozen despite being deep fried, so we had a hard time spooning out pieces. Towards the end of our meal, we were also waited on by a different server from our original. This caused some confusion since we paid the bill with our second server and left, but were chased down in the parking lot by our first server who thought we didn't pay...An honest mistake by the team there, but pretty unprofessional and looks like they need to work on communication.

Food was extremely bland. Ordered sushi and the hibachi chicken. The chicken was so dry it was inedible. Will not be coming back.

I come here several times per year because I love the vibe, chefs, service and food. Reservations are a must if you want timely seating and less wait...and ensure your entire party is with you prior to your reservation time. My most recent visit was to celebrate my birthday, though I didn't tell them that for fear of the extra attention. I know some people love that, but it's not my thing. Our service was incredible from start to finish...prompt and expertly timed food drop-off, pick-up and drink refills. We started with the Gyoza. The Gyoza was fresh, hearty and steamed with those amazing crispy brown seams. The sauce was delicious as well. Those were gone in maybe 3 minutes. Next came the miso soup, which was a slightly seasoned broth soup. A nice compliment to the salad, drizzled with a thousand island-like dressing and crisp lettuce. Next our hibachi chef Herman appeared with our cart full of meats, veggies and eggs. He crafted the most fun, hilarious and DELICIOUS meal I've ever had there. I ordered the chicken and shrimp, hubby had the chicken and filet. The steak was cooked medium rare and nicely seasoned. Each piece of chicken or shrimp was seasoned, sauced and buttered to perfectly plump. The fried rice was delicious! Literally, every bite of rice, meat and veggies just sang. We couldn't stop raving about our experience and I was actually sad to see Herman leave instead of sitting down to join us.

The Dino Egg was good, but quiteessy and fell apart easily, as the bowl made it difficult to cut. Lollipop roll was wonderful though. Overall a solid visor.

Our water cups didn't even have the chance to get to empty and we never waited around wishing someone would ask if we needed anything. The service was great. I would love to tell you the food was equally as amazing but it was definitely a miss for our tastebuds. My husband and I both ordered the Kinya Ramen, and for something that is meant to be a signature dish, it unfortunately lacked cohesiveness. Now I'm not saying it didn't have flavor, because there were many flavors in the ramen. The problem is that they didn't work together. The umami flavor you typically find in a rich pork broth was missing. Almost as if the ramen ingredients were sitting in a water mixed with a bit of garlic oil and nothing else. The chasu was tough to chew and the egg was cooked perfectly but had an almost vinegar-like bite to it. The gyoza was just okay. We also ordered sesame balls that were overcooked. We really wanted to love it here. On the bright side, the location was clean and our waitress was very attentive.

Parking was easy (big lot), and when we walked in, the conveyor bar wasn't too busy and the food was already making its way around. We usually order a roll right away when we go out for sushi, but here you can sit down and start grabbing plates right off the belt, which was super fun. They don't have a liquor license, but they do offer beers. Each plate comes with 3 pieces, so it's easy to try a bunch of different rolls without overdoing it. We even asked the sushi chef what was coming next and they were super friendly. If it were a little busier, I think the belt would stay even more full, but everything we had was fresh, tasty, and great quality. Overall, a really fun experience, over all I think we spent roughly $70 for two people, all the sushi, two miso soups, and two beers (1 large beer) which is on point what we usually spend when we go out for sushi. We'll definitely be back!

For this style of sushi, it delivers. Service was friendly and attentive. Staff checked in regularly and were quick to help with special orders or questions. My only real critique is selection at certain times. When the restaurant is not very full, the conveyor belt can feel a little limited. That said, this is understandable. You cannot reasonably keep every option circulating if there are fewer diners, and made to order options help fill the gaps. Overall, good sushi, good service, and a fun experience. A reliable choice locally and one I would happily return to.
