Great spot for lunch before 3pm. Lunch special is soup and 2 rolls for $12. Dad said the soup was excellent. The rolls we got in the special were very generously filled. I've never noticed a fish & chips app anywhere before. We tried it here, and we loved it! It came out hot and fresh. Yummy! Service was very nice, they kept our beverages full throughout. While I was in Nampa for an evening, my youngest child and I decided to go find a sushi restaurant that wasn't too far from our hotel. I did a Yelp search and find Sushi Sushi. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door and sat in a booth along the wall. The space isn't very big. There are a few booths on either side of the space with tables in the middle. We started with the Yellowtail Jalapeño appetizer, which has become our go-to starter. It was really good and one of the best we've tried. The jalapeños were nice and spicy. From there, we ordered Sushi & Sashimi combo (9 pcs Sashimi & 4 pcs Sushi with Spicy Tuna Roll). The Paradise Roll (Tuna, Salmon, Escolar, avocado and masago in cucumber warp, served with garlic ponzu chili sauce), Sunset Beach Roll (Tuna, salmon, yellowtail, avocado, cucumber and masago inside and seaweed on outside), and Rock N' Roll (Salmon, yellowtail, avocado on top the spicy tuna roll. Well, I've reached a place in my life that I'm going to review a restaurant that truly deserves to be rated minus 1000 stars!! Yes, it's Sushi-Sushi in Nampa. We went there today for Easter dinner. We ordered assorted sushi and a plate of Sweet & Sour Chicken and White Rice. When the Sweet & Sour Chicken arrived at our table, the plate felt very cold. My wife took her first bite and the chicken was cold in the middle. It was pulled out of the deep fry a bit early. We notified the waiter who took our food back to the kitchen. No apology, no nothing. He just took our plate and was gone. 2 minutes later he arrived back at our table. My wife said thank you and he turned and walked away and said "yup!" He was completely clueless. No class at all. We knew they just microwaved our chicken and rice. The plate was now piping hot, the rice was steaming hot and the chicken was now mushy. The tempura batter took a beating in the microwave. I asked the waiter back to our table. He admitted to microwaving our food. That was it for us. If you can't remake our order correctly, we're going home. I called the female waitress over and told her our plight. Of course, she offered to make my wife a new plate from scratch. My question was, why didn't you do the right thing the first time? They told us they removed the charge for the chicken. Low and behold, they didn't remove the charge. I had to bring it up again as we were paying. Seriously people, are you that brain dead to serve microwaved food to our table? Damn if I'll ever return. My wife forgot how I already dislike this so called sushi establishment and bought me a gift certificate fir Easter.. But I didn't want her to feel bad so we went out to eat anyway. As usual we left completely disappointed and dissatisfied to say the very least. This place continues to operate out a dumpster! Do yourself a favor and find a better place to eat! This spot is the best place to get sushi in Nampa that I have found. I came from a city with several authentic asian food spots, and it's been hard to find that here in Nampa. The sushi is very fresh and consistently good. Their service is fast and attentive. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very casual. It's the perfect place to get lunch especially since they have one of the best priced lunch specials for good sushi. I recommend their salad and hot tea as well. read more

As much as we have loved sushi sushi for the last couple of years, it is sad to say we will have to find us another sushi place because of their refusal to carry environmentally friendly and sustainable to go options. I've asked them for over a year to at least consider it and basically I am told the waitresses are laughed in the face when they share the request. I most certainly want my children & grand children+ to be able to breathe clean air and have clean water, so not only is it the smart thing to do it is the only thing to do. First time we went was in August. We thought it was quite good. We ordered a couple sushi rolls, hamachi nigiri, potstickers, and stir fry noodles with chicken and vegetables. Second time we went was in late December. It was not the same food quality. The noodles were terrible, the sushi completely average and it cost us $60 for lunch for two people! I don't expect to be back unless maybe we try again in the summer. read more

As an out of towner as they say, this was affordable but practically tasteless. The only thing I tasted was some sriracha on a roll. The albacore sushi was unrecognizable and flavor free. Anyway I really want to give this place 5 stars.. their food is AWESOME! Now their customer service needs some hard work. The servers just stand in the back and talk so we have to flag them down for things we need.. and they are very rude, quiet, and short with you. Almost like you are annoying them by coming into the restaurant. A great sushi restaurant in Nampa. We've been regular customers for years. They also have an excellent selection of Chinese food. They are always busy at dinner time, but calling in an to-go order is usually about 20 mins. I also love their lunch sushi specials - a selection of two of the more traditional rolls, and miso soup or salad for about $10. Their crazy jalapeno is my favorite appetizer, but when I don't have someone to share it with it I can easily eat it by myself! I'm honestly shocked at how many good reviews there are. We spent $73 on sushi and more than half of it was nearly inedible. Deep fried sushi should be crispy, not mushy! My husband described it as eating angle food cake. There's also WAY too much cream cheese and mayonnaise slathered on all of the sushi. Food has always been really good. We eat there multiple times a week for the past year or so. I've never had a bad meal there. However we walked in yesterday. One of the waitresses was eating at the cash register she put her food down, wiped her mouth with her hand and then grabbed our silverware and our menus and walked us to our table and my wife kindly asked her if she could wash her hands because she was touching our silverware and stuff was very nice about it and went back and she washed her hands and walked out and asked us if we could be nicer about it next time and not rude about it and was super rude about that. Pretty good sushi place. The fish in the rolls has good flavor, but the sushi rice is a bit too mushy and not seasoned enough. The traditional rolls are pretty big compared to those in similar sushi places. Almost as big as their specialty rolls. The salt and pepper calamari is also good, and big portion. The only complaint I had is that if you're going to name it salt and pepper calamari, it better taste like it has enough salt and pepper. Not enough pepper on it, but they were still good and surprisingly light. Overall though, this place has better sushi than Izumi. read more

One of our favorite places to go for sushi. It's always been great. The calamari is usually great but last time it was cuttle fish instead of squid so I was a little disappointed with the calamari. This is a great place to come with a partner for lunch or dinner, but I don't see it as a great place for a family to eat, especially for small children. Pretty good sushi place, I've tried many sushi places around Idaho and was not happy or they aren't consistent, I've been here twice and could not complain the rice was a little to wet and rolls weren't super tight but wasn't a huge issue, they were fairly quick on getting the orders out tables were fairly clean they definitely could improve in some areas but compared to most of the sushi spots here I'd say this would be a great choice!!! read more

Really good sushi and amazing staff. They are nice, courteous and have been patient when we can't decide what to eat. They get pretty busy over the weekend so be prepared to wait for a few minutes. Their Thai tea is also pretty good. They have a great variety of drinks and sushi types. I definitely recommend. The atmosphere can be great on not so busy days, but on more busy days it can be a bit loud. That's totally understandable though. Overall, amazing food and great staff. read more
