I walked in and all the lights were off, nobody greeted us. Had to call out for someone to come help us. When we did get helped the guy walked us to the car I was looking for and then just walked away and never came back. He didn't even say anything, just pointed to the car and walked away. Not really sure how anybody buys a car here when nobody sells you a car? Maybe it was just the people there on that day, but still. 3 issues arose with my car after the 30-day warranty expired: Electrical issues, CV boot worn/torn/leaking, and a coolant leak. I knew by law the dealership owed me nothing but decided to contact them, anyway. When I told them about the coolant leak, they thought it was weird that it was leaking since they just replaced the radiator before I bought it. They never told me they replaced the radiator. When I told them about the CV boot, they thought it was funny because they just replaced the ball joint on that side. They never told me they replaced the ball joint. So that is two repairs which they made before they sold me the car, didn't tell me about, and which have now failed/have issues since I bought the car in mid-September (and it's been parked for 5 of those weeks). The one repair they mentioned before purchase was the power steering pump... which probably just failed, too. Their one offer of resolution was that their mechanic works at lower rates than the one my car is currently being serviced by. I declined. read more

Vehicles are overpriced. The vehicle I was looking at was overpriced by over $2,500.00 and that would have been if the vehicle was in excellent shape. This one was missing interior parts, had a broken adaptor plug and their were warning lights on the dash not to mention the scratches on the exterior. It seems this is a dealer that "specializes" in bad credit clientele so they basically overcharge and than that poor souls gets to pay higher interest on an overpriced car. I guess if that's you they do have some decent cars although you will be paying a premium for those cars and the condition of that inventory is mediocre at best. I guess I was the last type of person they would prefer to sale a car to. Someone paying cash and who has actually studied the value of what he is purchasing. So in my case no additional interest on an overpriced purchase. There are many dealers in the Twin Cities that do offer fair prices for their inventory. My experience this is not one of those dealers. read more

We bought our Honda Pilot from iDeal. Max was extremely considerate to our needs. If we need another car, we will definitely come back to these guys. In order not to lose the car we found, we had to purchase it while we had to be on a week long (business) trip to VA. By the time we returned, we found a scratch that sunk my heart. It turned out the profile pictures showed the scratch, and months later, I found myself having taken pictures of the car, out of habit whenever we see a car we consider. It did show the scratch and it was my mind that remembered incorrectly. Nevertheless, the two young owners, Max and German, were extremely patient with us. Their sincere manner of listening alone would be worth 5 stars, yet they went ahead and had the car fixed at their contract place at an amazing rate. I've never encountered such a back up plan in a car dealer, not to mention such a caring attitude. We are extremely pleased with this dealer for all of the critical criteria: quality of their product, competitive prices, customer services, and RESOURCEFULNESS (in case of any thing that might go wrong on customers' part). It took me a while to think of posting my comment since we bought the car 6 months ago, but we are very pleased with the purchase and enjoy our car very much, with a fond remembrance. To show my gratitude, I made cookies from scratch for them and hope they liked the treat. iDeal Auto Imports dealer really beats the giant car dealers in all critical criteria for car shoppers. We had the pleasure of dealing with Max during our purchase of our 09 Infiniti FX35. I must say that I absolutely HATE dealing with car dealers. That being said I had a van I wanted to trade in and did not want to hassle with selling it outright. From the moment we walked in to the place we were not pressured in the least. All of their cars are housed inside and have to be shuffled around to test drive. The employees helped us out even though we wanted to drive several different vehicles. Once we found what we were looking for Max and his partner (forgive me German?Spelling) were so helpful. We were actually torn between two cars and they gave us the pros and cons of each making our decision easy. The vehicle we got also needed a couple minor maintainence things done and they gladly took care of it for us. If you are in the market for a good quality import at least take the drive out there. These guys do most of their buisiness by buying auction vehicles and internet advertisement so their overhead is not as much as the major dealers. They sold me a car for $30,000 and as the title was being transferred to my name the DMV sent a letter letting me know that the car had a salvaged title, they never made me aware of this and actually showed me a clean carfax report. When I purchased the vehicle they gave me a warranty/ money back guarantee but when I came back to the owner Germain letting him know the vehicle was salvaged and I wanted my money refunded he refused, not only did he refuse but he was extremely rude about it, he actually hung up the phone on me at one point. I am not talking about a couple thousand dollars at stake, I had over $30,000 invested into a salvaged vehicle that they were now refusing to refund my money on. After a couple days of back and forth with the owner Germain, my only option left was to file a report with the state of MN vehicle crimes unit, I let them know of the fraudulent activity and they agreed that this was definitely in violation of the lemon laws. It was only after the state of MN got involved that they decided they were going to refund my money to me. I have purchased several cars in my lifetime but dealing with these people was by far the worst experience ever! it was an eye opener, this is the type of stuff I read about but did not think it could happen to me, but it did. read more
