Car buying can be an excruciatingly frustrating experience. For most folks, buying car is the…read moresecond most expensive purchase they will make after buying a home or boat or personal jet - whatever is your #1 calling! If, after spending hours haggling over the price of the car, along with warranty and protection options and probably promising your 5th kid to the dealer, does not want you to take a long hot shower, then you are made of harder stuff than most humans! But among the "Swamp" of sleazy and slimy dealers, is a breath of fresh air with the Fitzgerald family of car dealers. We have been loyal customers of this business for the past 10 years having test driven and purchased multiple vehicles from their different showrooms. Buying a car has been a painless and even happy experience at this dealership. We have always driven away happy after the purchase interaction - test drive, pricing, and financing! The Financing part was painless too - review and sign documents on a tabletop computer screen and documents in a USB drive instead of a big stack of paper! We will definitely continue to be loyal customers with this Dealership

I brought it in for a rear differential issue under warranty after my mechanic found significant metal and visibly worn gears during a recent fluid service (which I also saw myself). On Saturday, I got a text just 45 minutes before closing saying it was ready--no other info provided. Picked up the next business day (Monday) due to late notice. I was charged additionally for "adding" differential fluid due to "low level" even though it had just been serviced two weeks earlier. On top of that, they claimed there were no worn gears or issues, directly contradicting what was clearly visible two weeks prior. Poor communication, questionable charges, and a completely dismissive assessment. Would not recommend

Service was excellent. The job took a few days and since I was out of town (nearly 2 hr drive each way), they provided a loaner vehicle at no cost. The price was competitive, and there is a warrantee and 500 mile follow-up service visit also. I will be a repeat customer and I hope they have as much business as they want. Honesty and quality work is so refreshing (I've had the opposite experience and it's not fun!)

Horrible sales experience horrible customer service experience, horrible transportation experience. I reached out for some tire information as I believe 2 tires are to be manufactured defective. The service department was promising as they heard my concern and said they would reach back out but haven't. I have not asked for anything . No deductions for the truck damage , nothing. He was polite, direct, and helped me through my very first car buying experience, and I am so grateful for him! My spouse and I worked with Ed Cabahug on financing my Outback. Ed did a wonderful job explaining our options and disclosing complicated contract information. He was quick and concise and informative. I felt we were in very good hands with Ed. Thank you Roberto and Ed for making our first new car buying experience easy. Happy Holidays.

They've had too many chances to earn my trust, and they spent just shy of 10 years quietly eroding it. My biggest regret is that it took me this long to realize it. On multiple service visits, questions were asked and badly answered, or just left unanswered. At 55K miles, they reported both front wheel bearings needed replacing with no clear explanation why they would fail that early, but I let them do it. Eighteen months later, they flagged the right-front bearing as needing replacing again. When I pointed out they replaced it before, they checked their records, then reported the mechanic found a loose mounting bolt, an easy fix. I had to point out from memory what was in their own records. After a later visit, I found a stray 15mm bolt bouncing around on top of the belly pan causing metallic sounds on bumps. At best, negligence; at worst, there's a crucial missing bolt somewhere that I couldn't find. In ANY case, all I could do was try not to worry. At today's 90K-mile service, they recommended replacing the front brake rotors (@$350) along with the pads. The pads needed changing, but they told me the rotors had no scoring, no warping, and were otherwise confirmed to be in working condition. When I asked why they wanted to replace them, they said, "That's our policy when we change brake pads." The service manager repeated the same thing, adding, "You have to change the rotors when you change the pads", and got defensive when I pressed further. They had no reason, only a revenue policy. Any one of these might be an isolated mistake. Together, they describe a business where quality control and straight answers fall woefully short. I talked to them more than once about my experiences and received "understanding" and assurances that were never realized. In my opinion, Frederick Subaru (Frederick Motors) should not be given your business. They're certainly not getting mine anymore, and I'm embarrassed it took me this long to decide.

I don't usually leave reviews but since my experience here was so smooth and easy I felt I had to…read morethis time. My lease was just about up (1 month left) on my Range Rover Evoque and rather than turn it in and break even I figured why not see if I had a little equity in it since I was so far under the allotted mileage. So my first stop was CarMax in Frederick, MD - top notch place and very professional but they offered me right at what the lease payoff was. I was pretty bummed. On my way back to the interstate for a defeated drive back to my home in WV I passed guy holding a Cash Money Cars sign. I said what the heck and stopped and asked for directions there, conveniently a few minutes from CarMax. There I met Tony, a very easy going guy and senior buyer who explained the process start to finish with no pressure and no BS. He gave me an offer within 20 minutes for more than $2000 over the CarMax offer. I told him I'd consider it and sat on the offer for about a week. I was just about to go ahead and trade my Evoque towards my new car but then Tony called and followed up and went through the process one more time - he said we could have it done in under 40 minutes. So I went there the past Friday, sat down and did the paperwork, and walked away with a nice check for my leased vehicle - all in under 40 minutes. And just an FYI, it's very rare to walk away TO THE GOOD on any leased vehicle, you are usually lucky if you just break even. I admit I was skeptical at first but without a doubt I would do business with Cash Money Cars and Tony again. Do yourself a favor and skip CarMax and go straight to these guys.

I saw a car online I was interested in and I called the dealership. I was unable to get there on the day I called as I had the flu and we were juggling one car. I asked if the car could please be held until Thursday. The man on the phone said there were actually two of them on the lot and sure they could do that. I got a call Thursday around noon that the one vehicle left that I was coming to test drive was being sent to the Lexington Park site and she "goofed up" as she did not do something within the computer to keep the car there. There was a similar vehicle at the Germantown location that costs a bit more. I told her I was willing to look at and test drive that one if the price was negotiable for this mess she had just put me through. She retrieved the car and I went there to test drive it. The car's exterior was FILTHY. The black car was almost yellow. We drove it and it seemed fine. We returned and we noticed a lot of small nicks in the paint. We pointed them out to her and said due to the car's filth we can't tell if it's dirt or paint chips. She took it to the car wash and came back and there were chips EVERYWHERE. I said "Well, how much are willing to take off the price?" She said, no, this is a price tag dealership. We don't do that. So, despite what she said on the phone, they were going to do NOTHING. Then, she had the NERVE to text me the next day and said they would not change the price, but would "try to do that best they can" to clean up the paint job. If you are going to consider this place, show up and look at the cars and make sure they are clean as they may be hiding damage.
