Friendly service and reasonable team. The vehicle I bought needed some tuning up and they helped pay for the parts. Would recommend.

I shopped around a little bit and found that SMH worked with me and had a suitable selection. The sales people aren't pushy and they try to help you find the best financing option without running your credit 6 times. [After signing my paperwork they called to let me know they found a better rate and even updated for me!] I test drove a 2013 Hyundai Elantra and as part of our negotiation we requested the breaks needed to be done. [They passed inspection but we still wanted to make sure they were fresh.] They took care of it quickly and painlessly. They are a smaller dealership but you get a lot more in lines of customer service from the smaller guys. I am happy to report that my car came with a great warranty, I left that day with keys and we haven't had any issues with it! They were upfront, helpful and I'm a happy customer. From everyone; -Jim the sales man, to the woman in finance [-gosh I can't remember her name!] to the owner -all around great experience!

I saw a car online I was interested in and I called the dealership. I was unable to get there on the day I called as I had the flu and we were juggling one car. I asked if the car could please be held until Thursday. The man on the phone said there were actually two of them on the lot and sure they could do that. I got a call Thursday around noon that the one vehicle left that I was coming to test drive was being sent to the Lexington Park site and she "goofed up" as she did not do something within the computer to keep the car there. There was a similar vehicle at the Germantown location that costs a bit more. I told her I was willing to look at and test drive that one if the price was negotiable for this mess she had just put me through. She retrieved the car and I went there to test drive it. The car's exterior was FILTHY. The black car was almost yellow. We drove it and it seemed fine. We returned and we noticed a lot of small nicks in the paint. We pointed them out to her and said due to the car's filth we can't tell if it's dirt or paint chips. She took it to the car wash and came back and there were chips EVERYWHERE. I said "Well, how much are willing to take off the price?" She said, no, this is a price tag dealership. We don't do that. So, despite what she said on the phone, they were going to do NOTHING. Then, she had the NERVE to text me the next day and said they would not change the price, but would "try to do that best they can" to clean up the paint job. If you are going to consider this place, show up and look at the cars and make sure they are clean as they may be hiding damage.

He monetizes off of the unfortunate situations of others and sells them vehicles that are salvage title that would not have even passed Maryland Inspection. Like other patrons have previously left in their reviews. He has hired his own personal Maryland Inspector who works there once a week and passes all the illegal cars. My 2006 Toyota Corolla was sold to me around July 2024 with the check engine light on, left and right front apron bent (frame), left front bumper hanging from previous accident, extreme pull to right when drove. I have replaced front tires 8 times, brakes, alternator, and battery 5 times due to electrical miswiring. Exhaust that comes up through holes in floor which is a carbon-monoxide issue to the point it is nauseating. They make no attempt to remedy the situation since notified within 24 hours of purchase not only to Bruce but to Owen who sold the vehicle. I spoke with Bruce Jett directly the morning after(9:00am) purchase of 8:30pm, and was told he did the legal minimal requirement required by law, he would not provide different vehicle, nor return my money. He stated don't bother with a lemon law approach because not a new vehicle. I have been told by a body shop that this salvage vehicle is not safe to drive nor should have been sold with bent frame. Another mechanic shops states that this vehicle should not have even passed inspection and is not legal in Maryland. I also notified Jeanne (finance manager) verbally and by email of the situation. However, even now when I reach out to Jeanne, their financial company representative ,which is located on site. In fact he has three separate businesses listed , yet in one building. The Mountain Motors portion who supposedly sells the cars, Royal Trust the finance Company and his Auto shop with yet another name. that is located at the dealership that Bruce also owns. I tried to trade in on another vehicle yet would not provide pay off amount. I have also reported them to the Better Business Bureau. Please do not trust these people with no parts of an experience that you should be happy and enjoyable. Save yourself from going through what myself and so many other people have/are going through with this dealership. Their Google Reviews and their rating here and on BBB all show this is a repeat thing that is happening to many customers and they need to be stopped.

He is a genuinely good guy, and very knowledgeable about all the technology and features on my new Crosstrek. The finance manager, Ed Cubahug, walked me through the financing process, explained everything evey step of the way, and answered all my questions and made sure I understood every aspect of the financing on my new Crosstrek. I was introduced to Michael Lorenzen, Service Advisor, and Tyler Biser, Subaru Technology Specialist. Frederick Subaru does an in-person tech review 30 days after purchase to make sure I'm comfortable with all the features and that I'm not confused by or have any lingering questions about my new vehicle, and Tyler is the person who handles this. I've already made my appointment for this next month. I can't praise everyone involved enough, they were all very friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and great to work with. They treated me like family. The whole purchase was actually, truly enjoyable.

They've had too many chances to earn my trust, and they spent just shy of 10 years quietly eroding it. My biggest regret is that it took me this long to realize it. On multiple service visits, questions were asked and badly answered, or just left unanswered. At 55K miles, they reported both front wheel bearings needed replacing with no clear explanation why they would fail that early, but I let them do it. Eighteen months later, they flagged the right-front bearing as needing replacing again. When I pointed out they replaced it before, they checked their records, then reported the mechanic found a loose mounting bolt, an easy fix. I had to point out from memory what was in their own records. After a later visit, I found a stray 15mm bolt bouncing around on top of the belly pan causing metallic sounds on bumps. At best, negligence; at worst, there's a crucial missing bolt somewhere that I couldn't find. In ANY case, all I could do was try not to worry. At today's 90K-mile service, they recommended replacing the front brake rotors (@$350) along with the pads. The pads needed changing, but they told me the rotors had no scoring, no warping, and were otherwise confirmed to be in working condition. When I asked why they wanted to replace them, they said, "That's our policy when we change brake pads." The service manager repeated the same thing, adding, "You have to change the rotors when you change the pads", and got defensive when I pressed further. They had no reason, only a revenue policy. Any one of these might be an isolated mistake. Together, they describe a business where quality control and straight answers fall woefully short. I talked to them more than once about my experiences and received "understanding" and assurances that were never realized. In my opinion, Frederick Subaru (Frederick Motors) should not be given your business. They're certainly not getting mine anymore, and I'm embarrassed it took me this long to decide.
