I've been coming here for a couple years. They're quick when it comes to simple cleaning and I have no complaints for the dentist. Office staff can be friendly but they aren't communicative and there is no follow through. Will often over book and cancel appts. Also, I was incorrectly billed a large amount and was calling for over a month without a follow up to discuss. I would reach out to customer service and they would tell them that they called me but never did which has been incredibly frustrating. When speaking with office manager she will often avoid/ignore my questions and not acknowledge my main concerns which has added to my frustration here. Additionally, I've asked for a link/invoice to pay my updated bill amount three times and my request is not being sufficiently acknowledged. I'm being directed to call for payment or come in person when they could either let me know when their system is back up or send me a snippet of my invoice. read more

Wanted to share a little story here. Over two year ago I came to this office and they attempted to manipulate and inaccurately diagnose my dental issues for money. Since I left I have had NO cavities, NO caps or not even the discussion of crowns. I've seen two dentists since and they said my teeth look great! This clinic attempted to tell me I needed all my back teeth replaced with crowns. To think I almost forked up the money for an unnecessary procedure. My teeth are healthy and this company was a scam. WORST. DENTIST. OFFICE. EVER. After a terrifying dental experience four years ago, I made special effort to make sure I found a dentist that said they knew how to deal with anxious patients. They LIED. First, the dentist told me that they couldn't start my exam until I wasn't nervous anymore .... (ummmmm did you miss the part about the ANXIOUS patient???) then left me sitting alone in the exam room while they tended to other patients. I also heard the dentist talking to someone behind me and laughing about the fact that I asked for nitrous. After 45 minutes. I walked out. I sat in my car and tried to calm down... And then decided to go back and at least share some information on dental anxiety with the dentist who clearly doesn't get it... in hopes that she wouldn't do this to another patient. And instead of letting me talk to her, they put me in another room - an office this time -- closed the door and left me there alone. Again. So I walked out twice, and I'll do everything in my power to make sure no one I care about goes to this place. I'm SO angry -- all they had to do was tell the truth and say that they don't like dealing with anxious patients... And I would've found a different dentist. But instead, they wanted my money, so they lied. So disappointed. read more

I hate going to the dentist..I had one bad experience and it led to me just not going. I think we can agree that the costs for dental work vs what insurance pays is ridiculous. Also when you go to a dentist that has no communication/customer service skills...well it can be traumatic. So after hiding for 2 years I decided to try Milestone. I just put braces on my daughter 2 months ago and I like the way they handled her. I made the appointment yesterday, I was in today at 9 am. Even though I'd been there only once before, the front desk staff remembered me. I waited out front about 10-15 min before being ushered back. Xrays were done in office. Dr. Doan is super friendly and kind. I told him that I hadn't been to a dentist in a while and he reassured me that it was ok. He reviewed the xrays and even though I have a few areas to work on he asked me what was most important. I was able to discuss what I wanted done! Now no one likes car buying because of the haggling and the fact that they hold you hostage. The dentist office is a parallel as they hit you with the cost while your in the back in the bib with no where to go and no time to think. When they discussed price with me I advised what I was willing to do. I opted for one root canal and crown and I picked which tooth (yea, I needed 2). The doctor came back in and did the root canal right in the office. He answered my questions and checked on me often. There was no shaming for my decision to just do one. I was out and on my way to work 3 hours after arriving. I had a good experience this time and I will reccomend him to others. read more

I had a horrible pain and I was able to get in same day for X-rays and evaluation. I showed an infection on a previously root canal treated tooth so I had to set up for an appointment with an endodondist, for a retreat. The assistant is super sweet and quick, and the general dentist gave me her honest opinion about the different options for my tooth (extraction, implant, retreat). I ended up choosing a retreat which had to be set up at another office on a later day. I initially believed I had insurance coverage through my job but discovered I didn't at the visit (new to adult world). Anyway, Robert, the office manager, was very kind and extremely patient in explaining everything to me about Care Credit, financing, interest, cash price ranges, and even waiting periods for dental insurance if I had decided to wait, but the pain kept that from being an option. Robert really went to bat for me with getting me as much time to pay off my endodontic surgery without interest, as he could. The endodotist, Dr. H, was marvelous! I've never had invasive dental work done where I didn't feel some kind of pain or horrible swelling the next day, but she was able to accomplish that! And she was even able to work so neatly that She didn't believe I needed a new crown so that saved me a lot!! I will say, the general dentist encouraged me to get a new one because it's older, and I might one day when I have insurance or can save a little bit, but for now I trust the work everyone did, but will be going back for any future work! read more

Dr. Patel is extremely judgemental. Despite the fact that I told her and the staff multiple times that I am very aware that I have a lot of dental work to get done, she still felt the need to constantly repeat it throughout this routine dental exam. I just wanted a routine exam, but they felt the need to keep rubbing it in my face that my teeth are not good. I get it, absolutely no need to be so rude about it. Additionally, they also showed me a weird Invisalign marketing ad and Dr. Patel made a comment about how I need to stop continually drinking tea for hours (even though I never said that I did this)? I did not feel listened to at all and I will not be returning to this office. read more

I was referred here by a few friends that see Dr. Doan. They were right! The staff from the from to the back is so welcoming and informative! Dr. Doan made me feel so comfortable and was gentle during his procedures. There was little to no wait and they make sure that during the small time of waiting I'm comfortable with what's ever on the TV and offer to get me water or coffee. I found my forever dental home. I'm not interested in taking a lot of time with this, so will make it short.  I'd paid into a PPO for a year, had X-rays done, got a treatment plan and made an appointment.  After looking up the different materials for crowns (less than a minute on the internet), I was curious to know if they'd allow me to upgrade to a higher grade of material and simply pay the difference.  After a week and a half of their staff (including the dentist) not answering my question (saying they only use the "best" material, etc.), I'd had enough.  I called a nearby competitor and they'd immediately been able to answer such a simple question. Milestone couldn't/wouldn't answer a basic inquiry about my own treatment and didn't call me back in a reasonable frame of time (had to "chase" them for days), so I won't recommend either this office or the awful, awful Horizon Dental. read more

Lacy is very helpful with tips and tricks for my oral routine and she was very good with my cleaning, she was also good conversation which is what I love when it comes to these kind of appointments because I never want it to be just transactional. I made a appointment at the Carrollton location. The 3 stars are for the front desk & Vanessa & Robert 5 stars. The front desk was very friendly and it was easy to make a appointment. The man whom tells you the pricing after your images and plans are created is patient & kind. Vanessa her assistant was professional & kind. The only huge disappointment is the Dentist. She has horrible bedside manner. She was impatient with her assistant, heavy handed & rough. I definitely don't recommend her. She even cursed at the end of the visit because water was on the floor and the cords were wrapped around her stool. I could not even focus and became so upset during my root canal from Dr.Patel's obnoxious behavior. She told me to raise my hand if I felt any pain or discomfort and when I did she said to me, you can't be in pain I numbed the area. First of all, who is she to tell someone what level of pain they can tolerate during a dental procedure, everyone is different. Furthermore, she should have more empathy & compassion when she is drilling in someone's tooth. Vanessa her assistant was wonderful and tried to make the experience more comfortable. read more

I made an appointment to visit this dental office and they were able to get me an appointment on short notice. The front desk is very professional, the staff is as well. Some of the assistants are professional and some are not, but that's typical wherever you go I guess. Its not perfect but its affordable and the staff are very friendly. Also I went in at about 12 on a Saturday, I know its the weekend but its took 2 hours to complete two veneers and I felt as if they rushed me out the door. Like I said I know its the weekend and you want to leave but, customer service is number one. read more

I had my Wisdom Teeth extracted on 9/1/16 they advised me that I was over quoted and will receive a refund. Today is 11/18/16 and I still can not feel my jaw or lower teeth and still have not received a refund. On 10/6/16 they advised me that my account had a balance of $1,096 which they were expecting from insurance and then once that is received they can issue my refund for the difference. on 10/18/16 my insurance issued a check for $1,261.68 they stated they received the check on 11/14/16 and they issued me a check for $42.40. The refund amount should be $169.68 but they state they cannot give that to me because that's fraud.. Before my surgery I asked if they did a certain scan and Dr. Garret Nelson advised me that they did but he was confident that I didn't need one because he knew where my nerve was and wasn't concerned with any nerve damage occurring. He reassured me that he taught dentistry for a local college and I had nothing to worry about. It has been 2 1/2 months and I still cannot feel my jaw and lower teeth due to nerve damage. He said he completely cut the nerve in half while extracting my tooth. When I went in for a follow up with Dr. Garret Nelson and he offered me free dental services because of the malpractice. I refused them. I want my money back from this horrible experience with them and advise anyone else to look elsewhere for services. read more

Be careful if it's your first time visiting this place. I did my teeth cleaning here and they sent me a proposed billing statement which saying my insurance covered all the fees. But after a week I got a claim with every single item with the price on it. I found that they charged each single item twice as much as normal dentists do. Since they are very pricy, I have to pay extra out-of-pocket amount. The proposed statement they sent you try to fool you, they adjust the amount to whatever your insurance will cover and finally sent you the claim with different price on it. I am totally disappointed with my visit to milestone and I am sure it's my last visit. They don't do business in a right way and I am sure they will lose the business. I don't have dental insurance so this place was great for me. They offer a package for $99 for the year which gets you two free cleanings and X rays, you can't beat that. The dentist made me feel really comfortable. He explained all the things I needed done and said he could do it all in one session. The prices were surprisingly lower than I expected. The office is very beautiful and they use all advanced technology. For the first time I can say that I am looking forward to my next cleaning. read more

I got my dental work done in April and I used my insurance to help cover. I paid over $300 out of pocket up front and they said my insurance will cover it in September they send me a bill for over $150 when I asked the receptionist why my bill was so big and she was really rude. Please stay away from this dentistry they are cutthroat and all they want is money they don't care about anything else. read more

I have visited this office multiple times. I have done cleanings with Dr. Doan and had a few visits with Dr. Nelson (their Oral Surgeon) who comes to the office multiple times each month. Each time I have had a great experience. I have brought my children to see Dr. Doan and he had been great with them. My oldest has gone from screaming about a cleaning to calmly sitting in the chair to have a filling done thanks to Dr. Doan's calm demeanor. I have recommend this office to all of my family. read more

Milestone dental is amazing! Dr Ahmed was great. I have had more dental work then most human beings, so i know my dental work. Instead of trying to to get the most $$$ out of me, he kept it simple and low cost. He has all state of the art machines. My dentist chair was also a massage chair. There was a flat screen tv in front of me to watch and see all the pics of my teeth. They even give you tinted glasses to wear so the light isn't burning into your eyes. The staff was amazing. This is the most comfortable i have been ever at a dentist. My teeth and smile look amazing now. read more

This place went down hill compared to my first few visits. The front desks girls are friendly and are helpful, but they never give you accurate pricing, for example; I had gone two days in a row and came out with two different quotes for the same procedure!! How so? When questioned about the issue, none could give me a solid answer. There are many dentists that come through the office, but none of them are welcoming. Oh and don't even bother rushing to make it to your appointment! The standard wait time is 30 minutes Past your scheduled appointment! I will not be returning. read more

I called to schedule an appointment with milestone dental in November of 2014 and I asked them to check my insurance first. They said to get on the schedule to secure a spot first before they checked my insurance. I called back multiple times to check and make sure that my insurance would cover the entire visit and finally when I called back the third time they said everything was covered. So I went in for the appointment and had a mediocre experience. Now I'm receiving a bill that has no coding or explanation. When I asked why they only apologized. The fact that I am now receiving a bill when I was told I was fully covered is irritating. If you are going to go to milestone dental do yourself a favor and call to verify the insurance yourself before making an appointment to avoid receiving a bill. read more

Dr. Doan has been so helpful, I finally have a smile I can be proud of. I put off dental work for 15 years because I knew how expensive it was going to be due to my own lack of care for my teeth, but I can't tell you how little pain I felt after my 5 front teeth were capped. After my dentist retired, I was scared to find a new one and it had been several years since I had been. I chose Milestone due to their online feedback and was glad I did. I was very impressed with the atmosphere. It was very comfortable and each station had it's own television and massage chair. A big step-up from my last "old world" dental visit. The staff were very friendly and courteous. My only thought, and this isn't a complaint, is that they are very "retail sales" about the offering of cosmetic treatments. I'm going back for fillings and whitening tomorrow, so I guess I like 'em. read more

I have been a loyal patient for nearly 5 years of this location (previously Milestone Dental, now Ideal Dental). However they have now lost me as a patient. I scheduled a teeth whitening months in advance for an upcoming special occasion. 20 minutes prior to my appt. they call me to cancel because their machine is not working. I took time off work for this appt, which now is lost. I was told they would try to get a replacement in the next day or so, I had to call back a few days later to check the status. They informed me that it would be 2 weeks before they would have the equipment in. I asked if they could refer me to a sister location because I needed the procedure done before then. The receptionist was very nice and said she would call around for me. She called me back to inform me that they would be able to send me to a near by location but not until the following week, which would not work for me. She apologized and said she would have her regional manager (who ever that is) give me a call, which I never got. I will say that the 5 years that I was a patient with them I never had a problem, however I am extremely disappointed that they were unable to do anything for me in this situation that was their fault. They failed in their professionalism to uphold a service to their patient that I 100% was confident that they would be able to do. I was unable to find a different dentist with such short notice that had open availability for the whitening. Due to this horrible experience I will no longer be returning to any of your facilites. -Unsatisfied patient. read more

The place is nice and friendly. But it was stupid expensive (even tho I have great insurance) I got a quote from them. I thought it was higher than normal. I called a few other places and they were $300 to $450 more than other places that are nicer or just as nice. Don't be fooled by it. I don't recommend it because of the price. I came here for the first time in 2014 because of a terribly painful tooth that had broken and the nerve was exposed. If you're wondering why I "let it" get so bad it's because my family was very poor, so I was unable to ever see a dentist until I could pay for it myself which wasn't until I was 21 years old and found a job that offered dental insurance. The dentist took x-rays and said I needed a root canal as well as a crown. I received an estimate and came back probably weeks later because I needed to save up. This was my very first dental procedure ever and it seemed to go well. I went home in almost no pain and was able to drink cold water for the first time in two years without horrible pain. Probably six months later, I went in and had another root canal and crown done on another tooth. I had a different dentist this time and he wasn't the nicest. I believe his first words to me were "do you just eat candy and soda all day?" I was slightly offended by this comment since I never had the privilege to see a dentist growing up and remember seeing black dots on my far back teeth as early as 11 years old. That means I've had these cavities for over 10 years before finally getting work done. Anyways, during this appointment I mentioned my previous crown feeling odd and how I kept getting food caught between the crown and my gum. He looked at it and said everything looked fine, but that he would speak with the previous dentist and ask about the procedure he did and let me know. That day I scheduled to have my second root canal/crown done. Again, everything went well during the second root canal. When I came into have the permanent crown put it, I mentioned that I was still having issues with my first crown but hadn't been contacted by anyone regarding if I needed a new crown or anything yet. I called up there weeks later and asked if the dentist had found anything out and they said no, but that they would give me a call back. I never received that call. Fast forward to months later... I went into Milestone because I started noticing brown discoloration near the gum line on my first crown and I was still having issues with food literally going inside of my gum. I could also feel a ridge near the gum line. I couldn't feel any such ridge on my second crown though. When I went in, the dentist came in and said everything still looked good. That was the last time I ever stepped foot into Milestone because I knew everything was not "good". I went to a dentist in Las Colinas (where I work) a couple of weeks later and got a second opinion. He examined my mouth for two minutes and in that time told me that 1) my first crown did not seal properly or something like that, so my gum wasn't even against my crown and 2) the crown was much too small for that area. He also looked at my second crown and said that it was made too large AND they had shaved some enamel off of the tooth next to it. The worst part is, a couple months later when I had gone in for xrays at my new dentist, they found that there was an infection beneath my first root canal/crown. He referred me to a specialist because I needed a retreat. I spent almost $300 seeing this specialist and getting more xrays to confirm the infection and get an estimate. I still have not had this done because it's going to be over $1,000 just for the root canal and my insurance won't cover any of it because it was already done once before. At this point, after seeing extreme close ups of my messed up tooth I've been told that because they took a lot of tooth off near the gum, if I get a second root canal, I have a much higher chance of that one failing as well. I'm going to be moving forward with an implant from yet another specialist because even though it's expensive, it's a permanent fix and I can finance it. To say I'm extremely disappointed in Milestone is an understatement... I had actually called them months ago and told them I wanted it fixed (I didn't know about the infection yet, just the crown size issue) and they said that it was still under warranty, so they could look into redoing it if I came in and got examined. I turned down that solution because I can't afford anymore screw ups. Plus now that it's at the infection stage, why would I go back to a dental practice that screwed it up pretty bad in the first place. I wish I had never gone to this place and had found the dentist near my work first. read more

I had to move dentists because my old dentist no longer accepted my insurance. I came here because it was close by and had decent reviews. I regret going here. All they wanted was a sale. I went to my old dentist 6 months ago for cleaning and everything was fine (per usual), I've never had mouth problems. Milestone told me I had 3 cavities (ya right). I don't have any sensitivity nor does anything look like a cavity. A girl who was in training did my cleaning and I could have done a better job cleaning my own mouth. It was terrible, although I must say she was very nice. I do not recommend the place, unless you like being told incorrect information, be given a sales pitch and a poor cleaning job. read more

When I checked at the front desk, response was " your appointment is for 1 hour, he can get your cleaning done in 10 mins".
