I visited Ideal Dental Falcon Landing after my usual Greenhouse location closed. I chose this office based on my past positive experiences at the Greenhouse location, but unfortunately, this visit was the complete opposite. The only positive thing I can say is that the front desk staff was amazing. I was seen by Dr. Ayanna Cartwright and an assistant , and there was immediate confusion about my treatment plan that should have been resolved before any work started. I clearly explained that I'm very sensitive and that my jaw can lock if opened too wide. My previous dentist always allowed breaks for my jaw to rest, but that consideration was completely ignored here. During the procedure, I was told to raise my hand if I felt discomfort--which I did multiple times. I was visibly in distress, unable to speak, and at one point my lip was actually clamped while drilling. Instead of stopping, they continued and told me I was "almost done." I felt completely ignored and dismissed. The response afterward was a generic apology with no real accountability. This experience was unacceptable. I did not feel cared for at any point. I came home and looked at my teeth just to see that my gums were cut on the sides. Had high hopes and left highly disappointed, and would not recommend this location to anyone. read more

I finished my last aligner (14 total) for my Invisalign treatment, and my final visit on March 27th was extremely disappointing. I went in expecting a proper final evaluation on my results after almost a year of treatment. Instead, neither the assistant nor the dentist even asked me to open my mouth or physically examined my teeth, yet they still made conclusions about my treatment outcome and whether refinement was needed. I raised concerns about my front teeth alignment and black triangles. I was repeatedly told Invisalign "wouldn't help anymore". I then asked a simple question: Do I need refinement or not? I never received a clear answer. The same statements were repeated, but there was no direct yes/no and no walkthrough of my results -- again, without any exam. The dentist also stated that I had already completed a refinement and that this wouldn't be fixed with "another" one. This is incorrect -- I have never had any refinement. This suggests my case have not been reviewed by her carefully before the visit. From any reasonable patient would expect, a proper Invisalign aligner finish appointment should include: 1. A clinical exam of the teeth 2. Evaluation of alignment and bite 3. Checking whether teeth tracked as planned vs. the original simulation 4. A clear discussion of results vs. expectations 5. A thoughtful, patient-centered conversation about whether refinements are clinically indicated NONE of that happened. At that point, I was left unsure about: What the standard process is at the end of Invisalign aligner treatment? Who is responsible for making these decisions? Whether my case was being properly evaluated? Am I being treated fairly as a patient? The interaction also felt rushed and unstructured. I was ultimately told by the dentist that she is not dealing with me and asked me to schedule with an orthodontist, who is only available periodically, so I now have to wait a month for further evaluation. After paying over $4,000 for a comprehensive Invisalign plan, this was my experience at the end of treatment: No clinical exam No clear evaluation of results No direct answer regarding refinement No professional communication Limited explanation or guidance Delay in next steps I have been a patient here for about 3 years, and the quality of care has noticeably declined: Frequent provider changes, making continuity difficult; Limited communication about treatment steps and expectations; Scheduling errors (e.g., for my final aligner follow-up, I had to call to correct it); A service listed in my contract (whitening) was later said to no longer be offered with a not acceptable attitude. Overall, the experience felt disorganized and lacked clear communication and follow-through. There is no patient-centered care, instead, patients are their sales quota. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Update on April 14th: I've since consulted with a couple of dentists, and they both told me that what I experienced is not standard practice. They also mentioned that in most cases, at least one refinement is typically done - especially in my case, where it could help improve my front teeth alignment. I went to this location for over 2 years with no issues, although I did see there was a bit of price gouging. Since I understand that these dentists are underpaid, I ignored the prices. I was always very friendly to their staff. 2 years later when a huge issue occurred, thinking the customer service would match how I treated their staff, I received no recourse and got "shrugged shoulders". I have seen dentists come and go from this office, so that should have been a red flag, but since I was only getting teeth cleanings, I did not think it mattered until I needed an actual dental issue taken care of. That's when things completely changed. Great for teeth cleanings but any real dental work, DO NOT go here. See dental surgeons and specialists. If anything goes wrong, they will not work with you, or investigate the issue. Even if it is at the fault of their own dentist. I am currently in the process of receiving my original dental records, and this office is making something as simple as that difficult as well. read more

The care and entire experience received from Dr Ike and his team has truly been on a different level. I have been going to a different dentist for the past three years, in December I was told that I needed to do a root canal, even though I have been going here every 6 months but the tooth issues was not noted before that. In search for a new dentist, I made a list and decided to call the first one on my list. The person who took the call was so kind and professional, took my info, made the appointment for the very next day. With this initial interaction I decided to give them a try. To be honest I did not expect the first class treatment and service that I received. Truly top of the line care. Dr. Ike was very gentle, stopped when I needed a break (many times). I am less than pleased with Ideal Dental Falcon Landing. From the lack of communication to the pushy selling tactics. Please consider going elsewhere. This office is run with only profits in mind, not patient health. I went in for routine cleaning in May 2021, and the dentist tried to sell me every possible service they had. I wore braces for 2+ years, and she pushed Invisalign multiple times. This has never happened with other dentists, and it felt odd that she would encourage this. She then went on to say that I needed to get one wisdom tooth removed. It has never bothered me, I cannot see it, and again, this was never brought up by any other dentist. Still, I trusted her professional opinion and booked an appointment to remove my wisdom tooth. When setting up the visit for the extraction, I was quoted a price without anesthesia because they assured me I would not need it. They confirmed that I would be awake during the procedure and that I did NOT need to have someone there to drive me. I paid a deposit that day to hold the date for the extraction and left. I called the day morning of my extraction to confirm all was in order since I didn't hear from anyone in the office. The young lady I spoke to on the phone asked me if I had fasted for the appointment - this was the first red flag. I explained that I was told fasting was not needed since the procedure would be under local anesthesia. She told me, "I'm looking at your x-rays, and there is no way this could be done under local anesthesia." Luckily, I had fasted so we could move forward with the extraction, but my husband had to take off work that morning to drive me to my appointment, which was a huge inconvenience. When I got there, they couldn't find the payment I had made towards my deposit. I was already frustrated after the surprise they gave me that morning, so this was the icing on the cake. Then, my out pocket price went up since I was no longer doing local anesthesia, which was expected, but very frustrating. The procedure went by fast, and I had zero issues with the recovery, but the problems persisted even after the fact. I called back a month later to settle any balances on my account after my insurance kicked in, and of course, I had a balance that was never communicated. I paid my balance and vowed to never go there again. I called this week to triple-check that my account was clear since we're in the process of buying a home, and lo and behold... a $4.50 balance on my account that was never communicated. I never received a statement, phone call, email or letter stating that I had a balance. I will never recommend this place or go here again. I have a feeling the positive reviews here are paid for. read more

Do not use this clinic. Poor customer service and dishonest billing. My wife's crown placement, a process that they estimated 45 minutes, took over 3 hours, and that was just a temporary. When she came back to get the permanent one it was not even the right size and took 2 hours. She had to come back again, taking more time off of work. once the service was done, the bill was paid taking insurance into account and now out of the blue they are sending an additional bill of over $100 claiming the insurance was only an estimate of what they owed. we will never come back. read more

This place was an outstanding place a few years ago. They were honest and professional and cared about their customers. Since the got a new Dentist and staff this place has taken a dive. I have taken my children there and paid app $400 out of pocket. It has taken the staff there approximately 7 months to get my money back. I called my insurance company and they advised that they have cashed my check and still have not paid me. The insurance lady know as Lesley LNU always says she will call us back and the check is on it's way. My insurance company could not believe it's taking these folks this long. I'm guessing they are waiting for customers to forget and pocket the money. I will definitely not spend my money, and look for a squared away dentist. read more

Okay, I've procrastinated being an adult. I needed to set up an appointment for a cleaning and to figure out what else could potentially be wrong. When I called to set up the appointment, the receptionist was super delightful. She walked me through the entire process and even answered my questions before the q&a part of the conversation came up. Once I showed up to my appointment, everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. Again, trying to be an adult, the doctor and assistant told me what was going to happen before it happen. Not that I have anxiety but it was nice to know what was going on. It was easily the fastest two hours of my life at the dentist, and I can say I'm looking forward to my next cleaning. And yes, I'll start flossing now. Better late than never, yet always better sooner. read more

I went in as a new patient. They brought me back pretty quickly did all my x-rays. I waited 45 mins to see the dentist to get the cleaning and exam done. She spent some time with me explaining everything, so I was understanding that she must give this type of care to everyone and that's why there was a wait. I went to the desk to pay, and they told me that what I needed done would take some time to code and type up so she would send me an email by closing. Okay, no problem! 5pm that day nothing, I waited until 2pm the next day and then I called. I simply asked for them to check to make sure my email was spelled correctly, it was, and asked if I could get my treatment plan. The lady said she would let the person who handles that know that I called and she would get back to me. Still nothing! I went in on a Wed. it's now Tuesday of the following week. Still nothing! So unprofessional! I called this morning to ask them to email over my x-rays, they still haven't sent them. The new dental office i went to isn't even able to get in touch with them. Just communicate, or ask for help! I don't care how busy you are, customer service is important. read more

Don't go here! They also sent me a bill with no explanation to my surprise. I came here for a regular cleaning since I was due and they do not disclose to new patients that they need to take additional X-rays which they know most insurance do not cover 100%. When you go for preventive and regular teeth cleaning, it is always covered 100%. They are just out to get your money. I remember my appointment took almost two hours too! Ridiculous. I mainly chose this dentist because it was close to home and I am still nursing my baby. Go somewhere else where you can get your teeth cleaned efficiently and effectively and be informed what they will charge or not upfront. read more

I first went to Ideal Dental (May 10, 2021) off of Falcon Landing and I saw Dr. Karen Truong after not being to the dentist in a year and a half. I was told by her that I had 6 cavities! I have never had a cavity in my life and I just didn't believe that I actually had 6 when it had only been a little over a year since my last dental visit. My MIL is a dental assistant at the Welch Dental Group and recommended Dr. Ho. This office is extremely nice, fast and efficient! I had no problem getting an appointment within a couple of days from when I called. I was able to fill out all paperwork online before I got there. The x-rays that were taken at Ideal Dental were a little blurry so they took new X-rays FREE OF CHARGE. After my exam with Dr. Ho he informed me that by textbook I had 1 cavity but it was extremely small and it was nothing that I needed filled immediately. So I went from 6 cavities at Ideal Dental with Dr. Truong to only 1 cavity with Dr. Ho. The other 5 "cavities" weren't even a question he said! Wow. Now let's compare the pricing. At Ideal Dental I was told after insurance I was still going to have to pay $560 for all of my "cavity" fillings. At Welch Dental Group it is going to cost me $45 after insurance for my filling. I almost forgot to mention my husband! He went to Ideal Dental and saw Dr. Truong the same day (May 10, 2021) as I did. She told him he had 4 cavities!!! But he didn't question it and let them do the fillings right then and there! So I'm willing to bet there was some, if not all unnecessary drilling and filling of his teeth! Needless to say, after me going from 6 cavities to 1, the fact that he trusted this dentist is even more disappointing. You want an honest dentist? Go see Dr. Ho at the Welch Dental Group. Wow! Wow! Wow! I am beyond impressed and happy with finding my new go-to dentist for myself and for all friends and family. From the moment I walked into the office I felt so comfortable. The front desk staff are so courteous and really strive to ensure that you receive nothing short of a five-star experience once you arrive. From standing up upon entry, to asking me if I'd like refreshments, calling me by my name when talking to me THE WHOLE TIME. They really helped make this experience wonderful! Now the office itself is super super cute! It's bright, fresh, beautifully decorated, and a top tier office in the back where the work is done. Now, onto Dr. Khan and her truly amazing assistants. MIND BLOWN! The assistants were so kind. It wasn't like one of those weird experiences where it feels like no one knows what to say in the room and I felt like they were all there because they truly wanted to be. They laughed with me, made sure I was extremely well-informed of each step, and truly made me feel like we were friends. I'm sitting there feeling so good and then comes in Dr. Khan with her big smile! She did such an amazing job at not only telling me what was going on in my mouth by she really took it an extra step by making sure I understood causes, preventions, the "what could happens", why she recommends a certain treatment over another, etc. I feel like I have a dental degree now! Hahahah. Jk jk. But that's the kind of service she provided. She really made me feel like i truly understood what was going on, the options I had, and the variance between them. I have NEVER had a dentist that did that. Usually they just go in, do whatever, and schedule your next appointment and you leave knowing you've been "fixed" but you also leave with questions and confusion on how to prevent it from happening again. She also had the most delicate and stable hands of ANY dentist! Like if you have kiddos, there really isn't anyone better I can think of. She was superb at her craft and not once did I feel like she wasn't in 1000% control. Look, I could go on and on and I know this is a long review. But they truly deserve it. It's a very very very well oiled machine run by an amazing group of people who love what they do and strive to provide an experience that is enjoyable, positive, comfortable, and memorable. Normally afraid of the dentist, but everyone was so friendly...I felt like I had known them forever! Dr. Khan made it a point to make sure I was comfortable and thoroughly explained everything to me, which I appreciated. She even showed me my X-rays and photos on the TV so that was kinda cool. It really helped me see for myself what work I needed. I knew I needed a filling before coming since it's been a while since my last visit, so I wasn't too surprised. The front office was nice enough to offer different payment plans to help me out...with my previous dentist it was either "pay the entire amount or we're not doing anything." So that was a nice change of pace and made me feel way less stressed about not having to compromise my teeth just because I couldn't pay for my fillings all at once. Not only was everything fresh, newest equipment, cameras, TV while I'm in my chair, but the dentist was incredibly informative, patient, showed me all my pictures and explained to me everything I wanted to know, and then some.
