I was really enjoying getting laser hair removal here, but now all of a sudden they only have one (1) singular nurse on staff and my appointment got cancelled THE DAY OF, because the nurse couldn't be there to do my procedure. Now I have to wait TWO additional months for my next treatment, because they have zero availability at any of the two locations I have nearby (Raleigh and Durham), until then, which will put me at double the recommended time between treatments. I understand things happen, but I was told there's a priority list and there's tons of people ahead of me despite my last appointment being cancelled by Ideal Image which I had no control over. So now my hair is growing back and I'm losing the progress I've made through 7 painful laser treatments and which I paid a lot of money for a lifetime membership for. To me that's unacceptable! I wouldn't recommend starting treatment here until they get their staffing issues together! read more

I went in today for my scheduled appointment, slightly hesitant due to it being my last BBL treatment at the beginning of summer. BBL requires no sun exposure for most effective results and I knew that would be nearly impossible during NC summer. Upon going back and speaking with the provider, Mary, SHE SUGGESTED WE POSTPONE TODAYS TREATMENT! I didn't even have to ask or express my concerns to be rescheduled. In June I had a virtual consultation with a representative which originally I thought went great. I explained that I would only be able to come on a Saturday due to my work schedule and living an hour and a half away. I was told that there would not be any issues with accommodating my request. I agreed and scheduled an appointment for mid-July. At 8:32pm the night before I was scheduled to come in for an 8am appointment I got a phone call that my appointment was canceled and their were no appointments in the near future. I was promised to be called in the next 48 hours to reschedule, which by the way did not happen. I ended up calling twice trying to get in touch with someone and finally 5 business days later I finally get a phone call back. I was informed that the next available appointment is in mid-September, or I could drive to another state and get two separate appointments one in July and one in August. Fun Fact: Ideal Image late canceling your appointment is not an event that warrants a refund I am 100% regretting my decision to sign up with Ideal Image. 2,700 dollars down the drain essentially. I went in a couple weeks ago for a consultation and everyone seemed very nice. Patricia laid everything out for me, pricing, timeline and it seemed like a great deal but they really pressure you to decide right then and there or you won't get as good of a deal. So I agreed, they ran my credit and I got approved, did hours of paperwork to get ready for the appointment I had set for today. I came in today thinking I would be getting my legs and armpits lasered but Patricia failed to mention that they can't even laser over tattoos. The tech told me they should have informed me and that I had every right to be upset. I wasted hours at this place for services that I couldn't even have done. They are just trying to make money, they don't care about the customers. Now I have a loan that I can't even do anything with. Stay far away from this place. read more

i have done a few areas I started in Jan of 2020 and I will be done in early 2023. I have experienced very good laser results but the customer experience during the time span has varied greatly. There are many times I would agree the sales can be deceptive and booking has been challenging At times. The sales team makes some high promises but most locations during Covid were not able to deliver. I transfered during my contracts which was an added challenge so if you're going to move states I'd wait until you move to start. I signed up over zoom during Covid it was about two months before my first appointment. You have 16 months on the contract so you'll have to keep on top of your schedule to get the 8-9 recommended. The Raleigh location did extend some contracts because of Covid staffing shortages, remodeling, and other appointment issues which prevented people from getting enough sessions. If you were active they did try to make it right. It was pretty rough going for appointments for a good 6 months. ideal image has more Demand than staff and really as a company has a lot of opportunities to streamline appointments but the app self booking does not really work. Once you get a couple usually there is a slot but don't miss your time or day or you could wait weeks for another opening especially if you need a long appointment. You have to really commit and follow up on appointments. They won't put in the effort to make sure you get the number of sessions that is on you. Frankly I'd prefer buying sessione like 9 sessions not to exceed 30 months. It would be easier on the company and the user if they were more realistic about their abilities and schedules. At this point for the last few months the appointment schedule has been better. They over notify you of appointments in text and email and app so really I disagree with the comments if you have an appointment you know its coming and must confirm or they will cancel. I have not had any appointments changed due to the location or staffing. The comments about the paying in full are true. It is in the contract which they email and you get in the app. Most laser places do that because many quit. Let's be real it hurts and it gets more painful as you go and max energy it's tough. To get result you have to do all the sessions but that is Not as easily said as done. If you can't handle waxing do not waste your money. If you're not sure I'd wait and if you have a low pain tolerance it's probably not for you. After visit one I seriously questioned my judgement but I have powered thru for great results. The nurses are well trained and friendly. I have had at least four or five you don't get to keep the same one consistently. That makes it a little odd since it's personal it would be nice if you could have one or two per contract but it's not really required. I am giving a 5 star for results and nurses . For sales a 2 star they are not honest and don't explain the contract well. Appointments are All over the map so 1-4 stars depending on the time you ask me about during my contracts. So overall I'll say a 4. The location seems to be doing better post Covid. To give them a 5 star overall as a company I'd want to see more knowledgeable and honest sales, better contract terms, and consistency of service. The people who work there are just as frustrated as the clients and most of this is a corporate issue for all locations. Oh and the reason they send you to Durham is because they share a common system. The sales people tell you that you can go anywhere anytime but that is a complete lie they do not have a universal system they are stand alone and other locations cannot see records openly so you are locked into a location pretty solid. It is stated it is because of hippa but this is a corporate issue that could be solved without any hippa issues easily if IT were told to work it. Because of this software shortcoming you cannot have universal booking and have to deal direct with either a single location or a sub Group of locations. Moving outside the zone is a transfer so don't think you're going on vacation to an alternate location it won't happen. i guess I'd recommend them just be persistent and patient and you'll get all the sessions and have results. I have done three contracts on various areas with all good results but this is a long term commitment. You should go into it understanding it's more like booing dr appointment and less like booking a spa appointment. Two summers without a ray of sun are required. read more

If I could give this business zero stars I would ! I was scheduled for two procedures cool sculpting and cool toning of the belly area and both times I was denied. They had me drive all the way out to there both times (cost of gas being very high right now) to their establishment just to smile at me and tell me I can't get the procedures. I was not accommodated in any way just told "Yeah sorry". So with that being said anyone with diastases recti you can not getting cool sculpting on your belly area(they won't tell you this untill after you have purchased the service and came all the way out there) and also you cannot get cool toning (even if they recommend it to you like they did me) if you have an outie belly button ! Just don't waste your time or money. Lastly I purchased their membership and was told that I could cancel it at anytime. Ideal Image lied to me when I bought my laser hair removal package. I made sure during my consultation appointment to ask if appointments could start right away. I also asked if there would be reliable and available appointments given my ever-changing schedule as a healthcare provider. The consultant said yes to this and "booked" me for an appointment for the next day. I showed up to this appointment to find out that not only was it the completely wrong location but also the wrong service booking. It felt like the consultant booked this appointment to basically lie to me about appointment availability. I found out only after driving to the given wrong location by the receptionist that the laser hair removal treatment package that I half paid for likely could not even start till February or March if at all. This fact was never stated to me by the company and in fact I was lied to and given false advertisement about available appointments during my consultation. Ideal Image not only lied to me with false advertisement, but they can't even provide the services that I paid for in a timely or reliable manner. I have tried reaching out to the company multiple times and in fact have been unable to reach any representative. I notified the company within 24 hours of my purchase that I needed to speak with someone and have already filed a complaint. In my opinion this company has shown behavior such as unfair and deceptive acts affecting commerce since they are unable to provide the service that I paid for even though they advertise that they can and this is a violation under the North Carolina Deceptive Trade Practices Laws. In addition North Carolina has Consumer Protection Laws in place to protect consumers against companies like Ideal Image who are practicing false advertising, claiming goods are of certain quality when they are not (AKA "high quality services" that they can't even provide), making false statements about quality (they can't even provide "quality" laser hair removal as advertised since they can't provide it at all), are representing themselves falsely, and are practicing bait and switch. I have not utilized any of the services, have notified the company in a timely manner, and am disputing this charge since Ideal Image is not actually able to provide the service in a timely manner. Finally, in my opinion, Ideal Image actually broke the law in the state of North Carolina given their deceitful service and false advertising. read more

Went to cool-sculpting consultation on 6/11/19 and spent a total of 2 hours there with 1 hour total of waiting because they were behind. I was measured and then went to speak with Penny to see the cost. I was told that they can check to see if I was pre-qualified for financing. We went through that process and while I was signing forms I was under the impression that this was all to check for pre-qualification not that I was signing up for this loan. I had schedule my appointment two months out for 8/15/19. I was given documents for the finance company which said "please activate loan when you are ready for your purchase" still giving me the impression this was for pre-qualification and the loan was not active until the service date. I never received the documents for the ideal image contract. I went home and later changed my mind because it was to expensive so I cancelled my appointment a few days after consultation. When I did this they did not mention anything about the charge so I of course believed it was not charged because the service had not been completed and I was never told anything about a deposit. I then recently check my mail and see an invoice from the loan company stating the full $4600 had been taken out and I need to start paying. I called the North Hills location for a refund since I never received services and explained I was unaware I was signing a contract and that the money would be taken then. I was told that there was no refund on medical services, so I would not receive a refund even if I never received services. I then called 4 separate days asking a copy for my contract and was told it was going to be sent but I never received anything. My fifth try to get my contract I went to the location today 7/17 to finally see what I have signed. NO WHERE on these documents does it state that are taking the full amount before services or that a deposit was needed. I am very upset because I was basically tricked into something I cannot afford. They are so eager to get a sale that they do not fully explain the terms, or what you are signing. I would like a full refund of $4600 and never had and never will use their services. read more

This place is a total scam. On my first visit they all seemed very nice and over showering with complements that were not needed since I was there for a procedure and that was the only thing I was interested in. They take your money even before giving you a complete review of your face and areas to be treated to achieve the results I was looking for not to mention that Heather was brought to the office took a brief look at me to determine how many units I needed because she was too busy. I thought I was going to have the botox that day but to my surprise they told me that I had to come back another day for the treatment (but they don't tell you that when you call to make the app, they don't respect your time) so I had to take another day to go back. On my second appointment Heather was supposed to do the procedure but instead they assigned me another girl that had to go and ask somebody were to inject and injections were diluted so much that I had to call and complaint that I didn't notice any changes or results after the 14 days period for the injections to show results so they had me come in for a retouch which I didn't see any results again. I called a 3rd time to complaint and they had me come in again and the manager Bianka actually was really nice in the sense that I was very upset and to "recompense me" she convinced me that dysport injections were faster to show results and they lasted longer and told me she used it for many years, also she said that if I did botox she could only give 10 units free versus dysport 20 units free but I had to purchase the remaining units which I tough to myself why should I pay anything at all. Then Bianka express that I needed to wait until the botox was fading from the first injections (by then almost three months has passed) in order to apply the dysport so they gave me another appointment for Oct 14th so I went in and they had me waiting (they never take you in at the time of your app they always make you wait). Heather was supposed to treat me but instead another girl showed up so I told the girl at the reception that Heather was supposed to treat me as per Bianka (the manager) as per my request. So I had to wait for Heather because she was taking care of another client (not a patient since they treat you just like a client) and to be honest my appt was at 4:00pm I got there before the time since I just relocated from Florida a few months ago and I'm not familiar with the areas and was not treated until around 5 ish and all this time they were apologizing for Heather not being able to take me in. Finally Heather took me in and I think that after so many complaints on my behalf the results are a bit more noticeable. Any way I have an app on Oct 31st which I'm cancelling, I am looking for other options to go to so if any person that reads this review and can recommend another place I would really appreciate it. Do not go to this place. They will sell you on anything they can and then will fail to get you scheduled for an appointment. I purchased 5 laser treatments and when I did the first was told to schedule the second within 3 months and then after do for maintenance every 6 months. Well I tried and couldn't be fit in for 6 months after the first. Then COVID. I went in today for my second appointment finally and was told my contract had expired after a year but how can I be expected to complete all 5 treatments in my contract time when you have NO appointments and COVID! I was also told initially it cannot be done after any sun exposure which is 5 months out of the year in NC. I mentioned this as well and how it doesn't allow for the use of all 5 within a year and was told "sunscreen helps." K obviously.... but you get sun through sunscreen regardless. There are stains on the walls in treatment rooms, holes in the ceiling, peeling paint, no decor, etc. Go to a legitimate facility and avoid this place. I had a consultation scheduled here. I waited for almost an hour and had to leave. Before I left, the receptionist showed me the price list. There were several columns which she explained by showing me that each treatment area has a per treatment price, a several treatment package price, and what the package treatments would cost if done separately. Clearly, the package is the way to go. They had a special going for 50% off packages. based on what the girl showed me, my total would have been about 2k after the discount. I rescheduled the appointment to buy the package. I sent an email to the consultant/sales girl to confirm my math because I didn't want to show up and get surprised. She told me to come on in for my appt so I did. When I got there she took me in a treatment room to show me the equipment and tell me all about their lasers and how no other place uses lasers as strong. After half an hour, we went into an office where she pulled out the price sheet and told me my total would be $3500. I was like, "what??!" She said they don't discount the package prices. They take the per session fee times the number of sessions in a package and then discount that. So you really don't get half off. It was high pressure and a hard sell. She said she could discount if that day by 400. I left and looked online at reviews for this place. Wish I had done it sooner. Seems they get you there with great advertisements, up the actual price when you sign, and then make you sign a contract that is nearly impossible to follow so your warranty becomes void. I found a local company- very reputable, great yelp reviews. I am on my 3rd of a 5 session package and I couldn't be happier with my results. I paid 1216 for the areas ideal image wanted 3500 to treat. Don't go to ideal image without reading all the online reviews. One person may be a hater, but that many haters can't be without merit. read more

VERY Disappointing ...I went there to get the Cool Sculpting, which might I say didn't do much of anything and over a year later I notice little to no difference. After being asked to go to the office over 5 times for follow up pictures, 2 of which were due to the fact that the nurse handling my case had left and no one had followed up, which seems to be one of their main issues there. Came back for follow up pictures, spoke to the regional RN and she said that the cool sculpting had a reverse effect and actually caused my body to product more fat cells, and that I would more than likely get a refund and or have to have lipo to resolve the issue. The next nurse I talked to said that it wasn't that, 2 months later and after me having to follow up, I could go on. Point being I wouldn't recommend this place at all, their customer service and follow up is horrible. I ended up getting a partial refund, however should have gotten a full refund in my opinion. Also, the Botox is not up to par. After going to a "real" MedSpa and getting Botox I learned that it should be refrigerated, which it wasn't always at Ideal Image, also didn't last nearly as long as it did when I switched. If you're looking for a legit MedSpa to get injections or fillers I'd recommend Luna Sol in Wake Forest. Don't waste your time and money here! read more
