I texted him in September as I had several things lined up that needed installed and repaired. It was a few days before he responded but he did and explained that he had been working on a big project. He came out on 9/20 to do the work. One of the projects was to remove a light fixture and install two mini pendant lights. These are two separate fixtures with chain links from the ceiling to the actual light encasing. This was the last project of the day and he did a great job of changing out my old light to this updated look. With one exception. He called me in to look at them and I noticed one was hanging shorter than the other. When I mentioned it he said "No, it's correct." I didn't want to be rude and go get a tape measure to ensure that it was correct (I will in the future). After he left I measured and it was 1/4" shorter. To some this might not seem like much but it is noticeable. When he was leaving he commented that my house could use quite a bit of work (he was tactful) and I agreed. I could tell he was soft selling me for future larger projects. That was fine as I would like to hire a small business to do the work when I'm ready. We discussed a few more projects for his next visit and he left. Fast forward to 10/19. I sent a text that the needed to fix the light and why. He responded and asked if the light fell. I reiterated that the light on the right was shorter. It's now 11/14. I have yet to hear back from him. I'm in sales, if I did something incorrectly I own it and do the best I can to fix the problem. Especially if I want future work and bigger projects. When you fail to even respond it is highly unprofessional. I will have to pay a different handyman to fix the issue now.

Even the restrooms were spotless, which is not always the case at laundromats. I really liked the card system where you load your money onto a card. I had actually put money on my card back in December when our washing machine broke down, and the remaining balance was still there waiting for me. The owner was there and very cordial, which made the experience even nicer. I washed three blankets (including a comforter and a king size blanket) along with three house rugs, and I spent less than $13 total. Very reasonably priced for commercial size machines. This is definitely a great place for washing those extra large items you don't want to put in your regular household washer and dryer. Highly recommend.

They took the time to explain how to use the machines, answered all of my questions, and made sure I was taken care of. My clothes came out clean, and I have nothing but positive things to say about the staff. Unfortunately, the surrounding area completely changed the experience for me. I only drove out of my way to come here because of the great reviews, but I did not feel safe at all. There was police activity in the parking lot while I was there, several homeless individuals were approaching people, and the overall environment felt very uncomfortable. As someone who wasn't familiar with the area, I was constantly looking over my shoulder and couldn't relax while waiting for my laundry. The employees deserve 5 stars because they were wonderful, but the location itself made this a 2-star experience for me. If you decide to come here, I'd recommend going during the daytime, being aware of your surroundings, and not leaving your belongings unattended.

They were brand new and beautiful, but the person we hired to help us move them ended up transporting them on top of greasy and dirty tools. Now my brand new, beautiful, WHITE couches were covered in dark smudges and stains. My husband began panic searching upholstery cleaning companies and came across Quick Nick because of their great reviews. They answered his call and got us scheduled immediately. John came to the rescue! He called 15 minutes before he was set to arrive to let us know he was on the way and he even respected my "no knocking working from home" sign. He was so friendly, professional, and truly quick! I expected the service to take a lot longer than it did. He did an incredible job and my couches are right back to looking brand new! Through hire a helper I booked 5 hours outside their mandatory 2 and was under the impression that I would not pay for unused hours. Instead I paid for 4 hours that they weren't there. They have a policy that states no refund for unused hours. The owner was generous enough to split the difference and refund 2 hours to me after some conversation. My advice is to hire them directly rather than through Hire a Helper as it seems there's a discrepancy on who's policy it is not to refund for unused hours. Overall the experience was ok but the 2 guys that came to pack did a fantastic job. I'd give them a try again but direct hire not through a service.
