Eric was the absolute best! I was really nervous but he made me feel good once it was my turn. he was fun in class and had some great moves in the tunnel. he had high energy the whole time. I know he does this all day but he didn't seem tired or over it at all, which i thought was cool because it must get a little redundant doing the same thing all day even if it is as cool as this. If we could sign up for specific instructors I would definitely use Eric EVERY time and make sure my friends got him as well. read more

It's fun. I wish it wasn't so expensive. I do think they should turn up the air pressure higher for the first time. It feels a little like your riding a bike with training wheels...or like someone is running alongside your bike and holding the seat and handlebars. Bought tickets for my special needs son to go here with a friend hoping he would have a fun time and make a good memory. When he came back I asked him how it went. He was pretty quiet which surprised me as I expected him to have a good time. He said that the staff made fun of him (he is socially awkward and has poor coordination). I would not be surprised at this behavior if this had been at school or something with other high school kids but I expected him to be treated with some respect from a place were I was paying good $$$ for a few minutes of fun. I'm sure this is a fun place for typical kids but just a warning to parents with special needs kids... beware. read more

Justin was our flight instructor. We had a group of 7 people with 3 birthdays in the room. He made them feel important while including the rest of us. We had watched 2 groups before we went and we excited. We loved to watch the instructors perform. The first instructor was really good. But the second wasn't as controlled and awesome. We were hoping our would be as good as the first. Justin was WAY more skilled than the first 2. He also allowed us to have way more fun than the groups before us. I definitely recommend paying the extra $10 to go high! A perfect birthday outing. read more

Wow! What an amazing experience. It was my first time to "fly " per say, and was with a good group of friends and we were all stoked. From walking in; the ambiance was inviting and thrilling! My adrenaline was pumping as soon I walked through the threshold. I was greeted by John (turned out to be our instructor) told my friends and I how to fill out the boring consent forms.Then it was off to watch the wind tunnel and wait our turns. The people who work there are very passionate about what they do, and are really awesome to watch inside the wind tunnel. It was my groups turn and we go to a room where our instructor, John taught us the basics on how to fly in the tunnel. He was very proactive in teaching and very hands on, putting my friends and I at more at ease. The class is over and we go dress out and wait inside the tunnel. Let me just say, I was not prepared for what was in store. I jump into the wind and am "caught" By John who is keeping comfortable contact with me throughout the 2 minutes inside the tank making it so much fun!! OMG! This was such a fun experience. I called for the reservation and the staff was awesome. The check in was easy. The staff at the store was awesome. Our instructor Ryan was AWESOME!!! There were 4 of us ranging in age from 11-50. All of us enjoyed the time in the air. I would highly suggest the high fly at the end. It was a perfect way to end it. I want to start off with saying that the actual experience inside the tube and our instructor, Steve, was great. There are just a few serious issues that I want to share with you and with others about your employees. My family and I were there last Monday Feb. 13, 2017. Again, our instructor Steve was awesome! My sister is overweight, but within the weight limits of your program. It took a lot of courage for my sister to even show up, yet attempt to enter the tube. She suited up and got in line. When she first stepped to the door, she began to get scared and started to cry. Steve asked the operator to turn off the wind and he talked to her gently and to our surprise actually got my sister to step up to the door. My sister did it! She took the leap of faith into Steve's arms and trusted herself with him. She was obviously very scared, and Steve had a really hard time controlling her due to her weight. We all were so proud of her...this was a huge step in her life's journey. As my sister and Steve were in the tube struggling...the air operator and another employee (the employee who was doing the "fly high" that day) were in the booth laughing uncontrollably at them. My family was too busy watching my sister and experiencing her overcoming a fear, to even see these two employees laughing at her. I did however see this, and it broke my heart. It broke my heart to see them laughing at my sister, who was clearly scared to tears, yet still having the courage to try this. It made me feel like I was in high school watching the school bullies laughing at her. Normally, I would have approached these two guys...but I didn't, because I did not want my sister or family to know what had happened. I believe in Karma as well, so this wind operator and the other guy (who looked like nothing more than a typical bearded-tattooed-glorified skateboarder) will have to answer to their Karma someday. My wife and I own 2 businesses in Spring and The Woodlands...maybe Karma will be that I tell the thousands of customers we have about our experience at iFly, and how the employees made fun of and laughed at my overweight sister who was crying and scared. I definitely think I will be spreading the news. Needless to say, we will not be back anytime soon...not as long as your hire employees such as the ones I experienced that day. Again, Steve had nothing to do with it...in fact he was so awesome in helping my sister and family. Steve made us feel welcomed and made the experience wonderful. Too bad my experience was marred by these to bullies. On another note...we purchased videos of the flights that day. We were unable to download them. We have contacted several people about this and left messages. Nobody seems to be able to help and the people we are referred to will not return our messages. Why can't we get anyone to help us? You make it really easy for us to make payments to you, but you make it a huge waste of your customer's time calling every number iFly has when they need help. Is it really that hard to send an email or even return a customer's phone call? read more

My son and I flew today with Eric Johnson or maybe Jackson (hope I remembered the name right!) at The Woodlands ifly. It was our first time and won't be our last. There were people (instructors??) in the tunnel doing tricks and I thought it looked so easy...well, it is not easy, but it is fun and we are looking forward to coming back and increasing our skills. Waste of money! Unless you are a child or just going as a group for some fun, just spend the few extra dollars and go have some fun jumping out of a plane and do the real thing. $75 to hover for one minute while someone holds you is not that exciting!.. The place is so focused on getting people in and out of there, making the whole experience very rushed and irritating. Our instructor was rude, would not let us take a group photo because he was in such a rush, then took several people in our group on the "high fly" without asking, after they chose not sign up for it, leaving the bill even more expensive. We were told to look at our photos online instead of at the kiosk because we needed to get out of the way for another group to suit up! And to top it off, the video included in our package was never even uploaded. The whole experience was extremely disappointing! Don't waste your money! read more

Be prepared to be treated like you are at a used car lot. They charge you $80 a person online and when you arrive, they surprise you and say that to fly higher than chest level you have to pay extra fees. What a bunch of crap. read more

Overall the experience was good and I am going to do it again without a doubt. Something that really bothered me was that during the time we waited to go to class and during class, there was a strong and unmistakable odor of weed. It was stronger in the classroom then in any other part of the building. I don't know who it belong to, it might have been a customer but who knows. read more

Went here on March 23rd with my 11 and 13 year old as well as my niece and nephew 10 and 8. The entire experience was really great. Our instructor was Vincent and he did a terrific job explaining the process and telling us how to max out the fun part it while staying safe. All of the kids had a blast going for two different 2 minute sessions which I recommend because the 1 minute session would not give you enough time to really get the hang of it. We suggest that you do the "HIGH FLY" part at the end where the instructor flies you to the top of the tunnel a few times, the kids said that was the best part. I also spent some time afterwards talking to the 7'1" tall manager (?) of the facility and he was very nice explaining the technology of the turbines and sharing the iFLY story with us after our time in the tunnel. My suggestion to him, (I am a marketing geek) was to take the video that they shoot of each flyer and grab a 10 second clip of that and send it to each flyer for free if they provide their email. That way everyone can share their experience with friends and family on social media and give iFLY some free publicity. You are not going to hurt your video sales business because you allow people to film it on iPhones anyway. This way you get the email address and your fliers would shout your business out to their 2,000 Facebook friends, 1,500 twitter followers etc. just as one example. And it doesn't cost you a thing, mostly if you automate it which you could do. Talk about spreading the word! Just make sure you format the video in a way people can use it on the different social platforms and include your website address or logo on each 10 second clip. If you use my idea, a lifetime of free flying would be a great way to thank me. :) read more

My daughter, younger brother and I tried ifly woodlands out beginning of July and we had the best time! Our flight instructor Eric Jackson was extremely nice and funny. He was very knowledgeable on sky diving and performed many tricks for us after we all flew in the wind tunnel. In fact, after flying and seeing Eric's tricks, my 8 yr old daughter who was scared of heights and almost didn't even want to fly, she now wants to take flying lessons AND have her birthday pArty at ifly Woodlands! The only complaints i can think (if any even) for ifly is that its not a cheap sport unfortunately, and if it was, then my daughter and I would be "season pass" holders. And, there is a weight limit, so my husband couldn't go fly with us because he was 5 lbs over. I highly recommend ifly to anyone of any age!!! read more

My 5 younger kids received this as a Christmas gift and we came in yesterday and had Joe Perugini as an instructor. Most would shy away from 5 kids ranging in age 12 down to 4 years (the 4 youngest being boys) but he was an awesome instructor and they all flew, from the beginning, like professionals. The biggies are coming back today to fly and hopefully Joe will be there. He was a natural and very good with kids. I can imagine most would have been bummed out with all littles in his class but he really made it a worthwhile experience. iFLY will have us as regulars now and it's because of him. The only reason for the 4 star rating is because we were going to purchase 5 shirts but the prices on signs were different than what they were marked on the shirts and the girl at the front wouldn't honor the posted price. read more
