Great place for families took my nephew for his 19th birthday if you want a place that gives you the opportunity to do "skydiving" without jumping out of a plane this is the place to go. Now I'm afraid of heights and have vertigo so I did not do this activity. However my nephew (5'10"), my daughter (5'11") and my husband (6'3") enjoyed it immensely. The require you to take a mandatory safety course before each flight. Safety gear provided. If you have long hair braid it or make sure you secure it. No ball caps can be worn nor eyewear. Had a great time maybe back in the future.

Went the first time with one boy a few days ago and came back today with all 4 boys. They had a blast. Our 5 year old was scared to go in on his turn and Joe took his time and made him feel comfortable enough to get in, jump on the net with no wind, worked up the wind and he flew a little. The employees are great. Already have our 3rd trip paid for. Fun for all ages.

Took my 2 boys here on a Thursday afternoon for the big boy's birthday. This place is legit! The staff are super nice, the place is clean and the instructor was awesome. My boys were a tad apprehensive but once the instructor convinced them it was chill and super fun, they were down! Can't recommend this place enough! We bought more time before we left for future visits. We will be back!!

Loved the instructors all were upbeat, friendly, nice to my kids. Joe was awesome, and a cool guy that made us all laugh. Great job ifly we are coming back.

Really enjoyed myself at ifly. The instructor was very nice and cool, he really made it fun. It's fun when you go with a group of people. I liked the facility and the workers. Make sure to get the video of yourself flying. Make sure to look in the camera also. I didn't like flying low to the bottom. I enjoyed when the instructor flew with me high. I can't wait until my next flight.

Omar, Bob, and Phil were great instructors. Bob instructed our group of 8 and its was informative…read moreand very entertaining as well. You will have to fill out a super long waiver that will release the company from liability if you are injured or die, but that's standard for jumping out of a plane above 10,000ft. The plane is quite small so jumps will be done in pairs of 2 (2participants + 2instructors) and every trip is about 30 minutes (15-20 minutes climbing to the desired altitude to drop, ~1 minutes of free-falling, and ~10 minutes of floating back down to land). During the whole process from flying in the plane, during the dive, and after completion, the instructors ask how you're doing and help calm you down. The scariest part about the experience will probably be looking at the ground as you are flying up into the sky but once you reach 10,000ft altitude, you won't be able to see the ground anymore so the natural heart dropping response you get when you look down at the floor from a cliff or 3+ stories high disappears or at least greatly diminishes. The initial free-fall for me was scary but since you only feel ~1G of force at most, it doesn't feel as scary as a drop from a really high roller coaster (I definitely think roller coasters are more scary, esp. those that only keep you in with a bat that goes over your thighs). After the parachute deploys, it really tugs on your harness so be sure to arrange and secure your crotch well or it will hurt like no other. My crotch harness was very tight so the initial deployment didn't hurt, but the floating wasn't as pleasant since I was basically suspended with all the pressure at my crotch. Bob will help you situate your crotch straps to your thighs so it feels more like you are sitting on the harness after the parachute has safely deployed and it'll feel SOOOO much better. Also, Omar helped me take off my goggles and held onto my glasses so I could get the full view without the goggles blurring it which was great. The best part for me was after the parachute deploys and the instructor (Omar, Bob, or Phil for us) does spins in the air. Omar and I only did about 4 spins, but take my advice and ask them to spin as much as they want because you only get to be in the air for so long so make the most of it. P.S. Don't worry about screaming because the air will muffle it and you won't even know you're screaming. Also, NEVER CLOSE YOUR EYES or it'll be a waste :)

It was the first jump ever for my fiance (whom I proposed to after landing) and I, and these guys really made it a special moment for us! Very accommodating when it comes to special occasions like proposals, with before-after and in air interviews all filmed with great quality. I flew with Omar, super friendly and really made this first experience a memorable one! I plan to fly with these guys again, definitely a great group to fly with.

I can't shut up about it and as such have found out even locals don't know this exists on the island! You'll fly out of Scholes in an adorable red Cessna, enjoy the flight past the ship channel, take a right to take in the entireisland view, and before you know it, the real magic begins. The team is fantastic and will make sure you have the time of your life before peacefully setting down on the soft sand at Pocket Park 1 by Woody's. Pro (amateur!) tip: buy alllll the pix/video. You won't regret it - freefall goes so quickly it is a blur by the next day & watching the video will bring it right back! Tip two - have cash on hand tip tip your diver!! They have specials on their website and Groupon. To the amazing team at Skydive Galveston - y'all need merch!!! I'd 100% have bought a shirt, hoodie, cap, etc! To all the scaredy-cats.. I am afraid of heights (to some, natural extent) but this is different- the entire thing was incredibly peaceful, from takeoff to landing. Oh, and I just turned 55 and am in thoroughly mediocre shape. Do the thing, people, whatever that may be. We only get one go at life.

I booked a skydive with this company through Groupon for my birthday, I live in Austin Texas so I…read moredrove 4 hours away I requested time off from work and slotted the day for celebrating me, only to have them cancel on me because I was jumping alone. They explicitly told me they wouldn't honor my booking that day because they wouldn't make any money off a single jumper. If a company accepts a booking, they should honor it. Canceling on a customer at the last minute just to maximize their profit margins is incredibly unprofessional and greedy. They clearly care more about packing the plane to capacity than honoring their commitments to paying customers. Take your business elsewhere to a company that actually respects its clients. The only issue is they are one of the only companies jumping in Galveston, I wouldn't recommended to anyone wanting to experience a one in a lifetime event alone unless you want them to reject you.
