    We were looking for something simple for breakfast so the daugther, who lives nearby, suggested Iggy's. It's in an industrial area so you need to know it's here. Parked in the lot next door. Great selection of bread and pastries/croissants. I opted for the ham and cheese croissant, the wife and daugther for the Ham and cheese baguette. I expected the croissant to be good but the ham and the cheese were also so good! Unfortunately no place to sit except for a couple of stone street benches outside. Nice, friendly service. We will definitely be back to try more goodies.

    Iggy's is a hidden gem near Fresh Pond in Cambridge (but just follow your nose and you'll find it). I am a huge fan of Iggy's but this is my first time at a storefront and I can't believe it's taken so long because it's walking distance from work. The interior is nicely organized, clean, and smells amazing. I went at lunchtime and there were a bunch of staff available to assist the quickly moving line. They had a range of pizzas and sandwiches and of course they're amazing breads and pastries. I grabbed an absolutely delicious tomato mozzarella sandwich on crunchy bread with some basil and a mustard-based sauce. It was big, a little pricey ($10), but freshly made and I wish I had room to try more! I'm already planning my next trip there and I'm going to grab some pastries then too!!

    Having been airborne since 6a and just landed, I was hongry. So I looked up whatever was near the end of the red line and here we are. A very quiet area, there is literally nobody, and no traffic. They are nestled within a big ol' warehouse with plenty of parking, and absolutely zero seating in the establishment. I'm eating my goods on a bench on the side of the road. The coffee is your regular drip. Not weak, so I respect it. Bianca's Mortadella was solid. Not flashy, or write home about but the BREAD though. If you have a yeast addiction, check this place out! They have options, they're fresh, and tasty.

    Nice space in a neighborhood that looks more industrial than commercial or residential. Easy lot parking. No indoor seating, unfortunately, but a nice aquarium glass view of the bakery in action and a long inviting display case of pastries, with breads and bagels in the back. Friendly service. Chocolate Croissant: Not warm. Instant crackle and surprisingly light and bready, with no sweetness in the dough; only in the chocolate. Good butteriness. Not among my favorites, but solid. Almond Croissant: Lots of onion bagel energy here, and not because it tastes like onion. It's that the almonds on top come in both full slivers and toasted mini pieces that feel like the toasted onion pieces on an onion bagel. Same crackle, same dough. Almond cream filling tasty but minimal. Raspberry Croissant: A different style here (see photo). Layered, crunchy, buttery dough, but a little dry. Raspberry filling looked light, but with the right bite there was a lot of it and high quality. Overall, good, though I've had better within this style. Jou Jou Bread: I think that's the name. Imagine the love child of a sesame bagel and a plain croissant, in a Dunkin Munchkin sized balls of bread. Crusty on the outside, fluffy and buttery inside. These were fresh, tasty, and felt great too. At 50 cents apiece and such great quality, I can imagine buying ten or so next time. Multi-Seed Bagel: Dark brown bagel densely topped (and bottomed) with organic flax seeds, organic sesame seeds, poppy seeds, and coarse sea salt. I didn't taste much of any salt, but the rest were in full force and the bagel had a great crust yielding to a softer interior. Great size, hand formed, tasty dough, good all around. A different experience from a Jewish bagel, but a pleasurable one. Note: They won't toast it and add cream cheese, but they do offer packaged cream cheese in their refrigerator for do-it-yourself application. French Roll: Fantastic. Crusty shell outside, light and fluffy inside, great flavor. A perfect 10. Chocolate Chip Cookie: Your choice of with or without salt; I chose without. Dark color to the dough, with chocolate present beyond the chips. But the chocolate was much more subtle here than at most bakeries and the texture was almost exactly like a cereal bar. Not bad, necessarily, but if it's not what you're looking for it probably won't hit the spot. Jam Cookie: Choice of jam and I went raspberry. The base was shortbread/macaroon-like; very moist, fresh, soft, flexible, and bringing its own flavor in addition to the jam, which was also great. Very enjoyable. Summary: You probably noticed a trend of sweet items decent, bread items great. Much of it comes down to personal preferences and expectations, but I'm sticking with that. I know I'll definitely be back.

    Tucked away in a random industrial park near Fresh Pond is one hell of a bakery. Follow the line of cars/cyclists snaking in and look for a low brown building with a small lot in front. They have the best almond croissant I've ever tried. The layers give in beautifully as you bite down and the filling is thick without being too sugary. Size-wise, it's a little smaller than other versions, but it was enough to make me want to try the ham and cheese, feta, chocolate, and plain versions. You also can't leave without getting at least one loaf of bread. I got the raisin pecan and ancient grain - really look forward to toast with some butter and jam. Iggy's also sells granola, croutons, and a small rotation of sandwiches that I'll have to get next time. I spied a few different kinds of flatbreads (cheese, pesto) and cookies (chocolate chip, oatmeal, thumbprint) too. Basically had my eye on everything in the store, including the pepperoni twist. In case you can't make it out to Cambridge: a bunch of Whole Foods carries Iggy sourdough loaves. People working behind the counter are super friendly and warm, even on a bustling Saturday morning. The line moves quickly so don't be intimidated. The guy in front of me was showing off pictures of his newborn grandchild to everyone and it was incredibly wholesome.

    Amazing bread collection. Plan to visit as early as possible, as their croissants and some other specialty items are sold out by 10 am.

    Basic cheese pizza, bought shortly after the 11 AM time they come out, should not taste or feel like a day old slice. TERRIBLE!!!!

Baklava had a great ratio of flaky pastry layers to walnuts. Each bite had the right about of crunch and nuttiness. The amount of syrup used was just right also. Kataifi struck a similarly great balance: a crunchy and sweet shredded wheat exterior rounded out by the richness of pistachios. I wish I could come here all the time and try everything. Definitely keeping this place bookmarked for any future trips to Boston.

It kind of reminded me of the Almond Roca candy. To emphasize, the service was unexpectedly considerate. As a new customer, I simply asked the assistant for recommendations, and she offered me samples of 4 kinds of desserts and a cup of Yafa Chai Karak to try. Although it was hard to get accustomed to the spices, I still appreciate the kindness.

But the true jewel of La Saison is the Kuku Sabzi on Sea Salt Focaccia. It is unbelievably good. What makes La Saison even more special are the owners, Sarah and Soheil. Their warmth, creativity, and genuine care for their customers shine through in everything they do. You can feel their heart in every pastry and bread and every interaction. La Saison has become one of those rare places that feels both special and comforting, and we're grateful it's part of the neighborhood.

Maybe I have too much of a sweet tooth but unlike a lot of reviewers I did not find it to be TOO sweet, just the right amount paired with a bitter coffee beverage and split between two people. I've never had a cannoli for breakfast before, but darn if it wasn't a highlight of the trip.

And the cherry was perfectly tart-I really appreciated the crumble. All in all, I will def be back. Can't wait to follow their social media to see what the monthly specials are. Street parking is tough, I rec parking in star market if you're quick. You can also order ahead for a quicker pickup and they deliver within a 6-mile radius as long as you place the order by noon the day before.
