We went to Iggy's after reading reviews here on Yelp. We were not disappointed. The burgers were great. The onion rings were good, but are not like traditional rings they were more like what other restaurants call onion straws. Don't go to Iggy's looking for a desert. August 31,2018 Lunchtime:! Nice place with many Elvis decorations on the wall. Sufficient parking. Got a wrong first impression of the staff. The black lipstick and tattoos had me thinking I was in the wrong place. Actually, the staff was very Friendly and they wasted little time taking care of their customers. This alone deserves at least ab4!star. There was some "banter" between the waitresses. Apparently something internal was going on that affected the waitresses. There was attitude clearly evident. Having stated that, Our waitress was super and very nice to us, the customer. Let's talk Food! Ordered the hamburger basket with a side of onion rings. Burger was grey in color, had yellow lettuce, thin pickles, onion and one slice of thin tomato. I asked for Mayo and mustard and both were heavily on the bottom bun, top bun was dry. Not impressed! Their Onion Rings were hot and appeared to be made in-house. Half the batter didn't stick to the onions, probably because the onion was cut too thinly. We ate the part of the onion rings that were coated in batter. That part was very good. Iggy, cut your onions thicker and go to a better method of battering your onions. I say this as a person with experience in the culinary arts having attended two different culinary schools and managed restaurants. I've also trained waitresses and waiters how to do their jobs and make more tips. I've been there too! Left a 35% tip as our waitress did a great job. read more

It's a diner with diner food. Burger was a burger... good but again a typical diner burger. The fries were fresh cut and ample. Tator tots were light and crispy. Service was good though waitress' sometimes got distracted with regulars and we're quite loud. The waitress' were funny and friendly though! The decor is fun 50s themed. Not anything to complain about and may have been better if we ordered the spaghetti as it seemed like it was quite popular with the regulars with pickles and onions??? Prices are just right and the amount of food is plentiful! Hamburgers were large and thick and the tenderloin was equally large, but not so large that it's overwhelming, like many places. I love the diner feel. The only thing that would make it better would be poodle skirts! read more

We ate here at lunch yesterday. One girl had chicken fried steak, she said it was good but was not a fresh chicken fried steak, it was pre-frozen. I had chicken nachos that had a good flavor but the chips that had cheese on them were soggy by the time I received my plate. The chips that didn;t have cheese were stale. The chicken had a good flavor but was very dry and over cooked. We will try again but only once more. :) read more

The food is great and I used to really love coming here but it's stressful seeing your food sit in the window for 10 minutes while waitresses run around getting drinks and food orders for everyone while walking past your food. Even food put up in the window after ours was taken to the table before ours. If I wanted cold food I would have had ice cream. read more

just ate dinner at iggys and it is the worst place I have ever eaten. the food was not hot and the nothing was fresh all was either frozen or out of an envelope. I will never go back again and I am a resident of Carthage. The service was terrible as well , the waitress never even checked on us to see if we wanted a refill on our drinks or if the food was ok. We stopped on our way to KC, and we're glad we did! Good and service was great. We stopped in on a Thursday afternoon and had no wait at 1145am, and food was pretty fast. I ate the cheeseburger and did half onion rings, half Suzy q's, it was great!
